Best YSL Rive Gauche clone : American Blend - Fine Accoutrements. Dua Fragrances: In my humble opinion, cheap foundation smell in all frags , with hints of the original PARFUM.
Just purchased Duo's Intense Homme Atta. Suppose to be their version of Dior Homme Parfum. Very hard to get it the US. I have a decant of the original and to my nose smells different . The opening at least. After some time the dry down does have that "lipstick" iris note. Would prefer the real thing.
Vert instinct is my first dua!! It had to grow on me but that only took about three days. Now I love it even mix it with my green Irish Tweed and it makes it last even longer.
Great show Dan. Thanks for the Dua review. I end up using my Rive to preserve my River, which is prob not right. Can't wait to try orderer samples of 1849 (and their Royal Service). I dig all Duas resurrections but treasure Covet most. Waiting for AdP Futura / sample review. Cheers!
I got Dua pour homme. I LOVE IT , it smells exactly as I remember it, the performance it amazing and it scored me a bunch of complements. They have done an amazing job.
I tried my first DUA recently and I was impressed, it was a cross between Enigma and la nuit de L’homme (original version). Wouldn’t mind trying that rive gauche one for sure. Great job Dan.👍🏻🙏🏻
I have about 5 ml left of a 30 ml decant of green valley purchased couple of years back. Amazing scent indeed!! I hope they recreate the original gucci pour homme and gucci noble
Hey, Mr. Smelly, brilliant review... as always! I have River Fougere and Italian Decorum. Spectacular recreations of an old formulation and an extinct fragrance, respectivectly. Both, amazing and very close to the originals. So I want to see more of these resurrections! I would like to have the oportunity to buy recreations of vintage (original formulations) fragrances like YSL Kouros (1981), Chanel Antaeus (1981), Balenciaga pour Homme (1990), Oscar de La Renta Pour Lui, Jacques Bogart Furyo (1988), Salvador Dali Pour Homme (1987), Zino Davidoff Zino (1986), Givenchy Gentleman (1974).
What about Best Citrus Ever for Irois by Henry Jacques’ Irois and No. 11 De Dua for HJ’s No. 11 De Sacha. These are both vaulted, but the vault opens 4 times a year when they’re both available for a great price ($33 if no sale, $22,11 if sale on). If the originals aren’t discontinued they’re so rare and ridiculously expensive that they may as well be
The original Green Valley had this kaleidoscopic effect, where enough applied generated the sense of blades of grass blowing in the wind made into an actual smell. Very weird, impossible for me to ever forget, and truly great. Probably the best Creed ever made, but hard to say with their stellar record
I've not tried most of those, but unbelievably, I do own a 30ml decant of Italian Cyprus. A trusted seller on a group did me 30ml for £30 or £35, which I do realise is quite insane. It's a beautiful fragrance. Definitely better for being dressed up. I also own Halston Z-14 which is supposed to have been a likely influence for IC, I can see why people say that, but it lacks the brightness and creaminess.
I really do enjoy Green Valley. Big supporter of bringing back vintage scents, regardless of who does it. They may not be 100% identical, but it sure beats a broken heart. 💔
Dua needs to do Gucci Nobile. I haven’t tried Italian Decorum, but IC is my favorite Tom Ford. Nobody ever mentions the unlisted note it has, which is clove.
I remember Green Valley very well and Vert Instinct is very close (well no clone really can copy Creed 100% but let's say it is as close as other Dua's Creed clones are). I think Dua needs to spin off the discontinued fragrance clones as a separate collection: a lot of people whi have a problem with clones might not be opposed to them cloning something that no longer exists! :)
Long time lurker, first time poster... been watching your videos for a while. I always enjoy watching your take on fragrances. I am by no means a collector but I do have an interest in old school and inexpensive fragrances. Would you consider doing a video on some of the "supermarket" fragrances? Those fragrances that are under £10. I ask mainly out of curiosity because I'd like to hear your take on them.
The list of fragrances I want to try from their line-up keeps growing and growing, but I'm hesitant to order from the US. I'd rather wait and hope for a UK distribution point.
I have Dua Intense Homme (their impression of Dior Homme Intense) It is brilliant. I would never buy Dior Homme Intense again after trying the Dua as Dior's performance is awful. The Dua impression is dense, rich and smells amazing.
Mr. Smelly - there truly are so many to choose from. That Vert Instinct is a winner, and I heard it from you first. As for a resurrection.... I'll never stop pleading for the Ralph Lauren "Monogram"!!! Let's Project!!! 🙌💨

Dua, vintage Cosmair Polo - pretty please!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, River Fougere is spot on. I still can't believe how they nailed RG perfectly.
Vert instinct is my first dua!! It had to grow on me but that only took about three days. Now I love it even mix it with my green Irish Tweed and it makes it last even longer.
I wish Dua would make a Balenciaga pour homme version.

Wish they recreate Givenchy Very Irresistible for Men & Kokorico by Night by J.P. Gaultier
Scents of South Jersey had a theory about why YSL discontinued Rive Gauche. Because it was Awesome.
Went to purchase River fougere the other day but it was sold out lol but pour Homme sounds great I’ve always wanted to try the D&G by Man
Both are great . River Fougere is back !
I wish they were able to recreate 'Envol' Ted Lapidus, launched in 1981.
I loved this fragrance so much!
🌺🌺🌺

Thanks Fernando. You mention some great ones there.
Love green valley and Italian cypress. Outstanding fragrances that will be missed ! Enjoyed the video
Thanks Benjamin.
What? I totally need that BY one! Do they do the women’s one too?
Hello Thomas! I’m aware of them having the By Woman. I can highly recommend the By Man version though .
Celsius the vintage Fahrenheit expression is very good and last all day
I would like to see them do D&G por homme vintage.
Vintage Man from DUA FRAGRANCES
you should do a review of lynx Africa. it's been around 25 years and one of the top mainstream sellers.
I’ve thought about doing that before actually .
Great video. Resurrection of classic fragrances is music to my ears.

Any idea where you can get a remake of the original Burberry, early 80”s fragrance ? Cheers from Down under
They are working on an expression of Midnight In Paris that I can't wait to get.
That would be awesome !!!!
This comment makes me very happy!
Didn't they do Gucci Envy?

I'd love to see Armani bring back Attitude
Must u try boucheron pour homme 👌😁
I remember that one.. The scent RULED!!

Great 📹 and I enjoyed it and I'm going to try these fragrances and have a blessed day
Thanks Michael .
You welcome keep ☝ the good work
Could you do a review of the Davidoff good life - great life by dua?
I wish they would make a version of vintage Eau Sauvage :)
Good idea !!!

Does DUA do a clone of Gucci Envy for men?
Called Covet. Out of stock right now but coming back.

How is DUA Bois du Portugal version
Without shame I say I'd love to see Axe Mirage and Axe Cool Cedar on the shelves again :D
Some of the Axe/Lynx sprays have cult followings !

Thank you so much Joe . I appreciate the support. I certainly will do more very inexpensive fragrance vids .

@wishawlad Did you order from US?
@wishawlad Cheers mate! I noticed the website is still under construction, but I'll check out their FB and IG.
Is there a dua fragrance version of pateau pour homme?
Not that I’m aware of . If they could recreate that it would be phenomenal.
They have to do patou pour homme 😃
I have Dua Intense Homme (their impression of Dior Homme Intense)
It is brilliant. I would never buy Dior Homme Intense again after trying the Dua as Dior's performance is awful. The Dua impression is dense, rich and smells amazing.
I agree . I have it too.
... Or of course, get a great modern vintage feel with a "Smelly" original Gravitas pour home.
Re-do of Van Cleef and Arpels Midnight in Paris.
Just saw the comment that they are working on that.
If I can find a vintage Kouros clone, I’ll be over the moon!
Mr. Smelly - there truly are so many to choose from. That Vert Instinct is a winner, and I heard it from you first. As for a resurrection.... I'll never stop pleading for the Ralph Lauren "Monogram"!!! Let's Project!!! 🙌💨
Hi Kerino, I never tried Monogram. I’ll look out for it .
Love your intros
Thank you.
We love dua!!
