- It was unusually annoying to find a good approach in making a great extended version for this part. Hopefully you like the way I composed this one!!
Next Part ("Eternal Rest" EXTENDED VERSION) will most likely be only tomorrow! Still working on some aspects, so it could be online in 2 days instead, but we'll see :P

So, a couple of things I'd like to mention. It looks to me like Gaster is the one kneeling, based on the shape of the head and cloak. He must be holding Papyrus, whom is probably injured. Sans is the one standing, summoning the wall of Gaster Blasters. He looks rather strained, so I suspect he's running rather low on magic at this point. He's going all out to protect his family. Also, this sounds cool af. Great job, Amella.
Edit: Dang I was almost right. It was actually Papyrus holding Gaster. Ah well close enough.

Just my observation for the art that appears.
From my speculation, this should be right after the scene from the trailer, where sans summons those gaster blasters. Sans is most likely referring to gaster and papyrus being tired when he says “i’m tired, you’re tired, *they’re tired* “ Gaster seems to be kneeling, and holding an injured papyrus. Sans’s stance though, looks like he is desperate to protect the ones he love. *Even if it means his life must be taken away from him.* The music, has an extra part, that seems more, *intense.* as if sand has used the last of his magic to save his family. only for him to fall. Then, eternal rest plays, as his death will happen in front of his father and brother. But hey, it’s just a theory,

Well that could be a possibility, since sans is no longer connected gaster could achieve his polychromatism with sans still alive, but as we have seen sans is on a limited magic usage. We already know that he shots a blaster and uses blue magic on Betty in the fight due to the trailer and we know he used a good amount of it to teleport to the surface at the beginning of hate. So based on the thumbnail it is the big gaster blaster attack we see at the end of the animosity trailer. So say he doesn’t die off of this attack. He will practically be dead and probably be alive long enough to see garter use his full power. So chances are the price of megalovania is used just as a nice end to the tune.
Another way that megalovania could mean something is like you said, gaster dies along with pap. It’s obvious gaster will reach his full power but might not beat Betty. This is a stretch but maybe could happen. Since sans would still have a small amount of determination left in his body he could use that to defeat Betty, but that would not be his only lifeline like previous. We know that gaster will give his life for sans or papyrus, like we saw in the core explosion, so who says gaster won’t give his soul to sans? It seems ridiculous but a possibility is that gaster is close to dying and knows sans is about to die as well, so instead of having them both die, he does what frisk and sans used to do in season one, give their soul to sans. If it works for frisk why not gaster, and since sans does not have a soul it might work if it happens right as the DT runs out.
Huge random guess but I think that it could be a possibility but highly not what will happen. I’m not trying to dismiss what you said as dumb because it’s a good theory and here is why I think it could be a possible way it goes.
Again, the one dislike is betty. She's real mad that Gaster will beat her ass in the next episode.

3:58 I can feel the emotion where it makes a scene on my mind that this is the part where sans put lotsa gaster blaster than before. Summoning like 1 by 1 at a time then rapidly fires them at betty while his powers are slowly fading away and eyes are blinking as if its like fading until his body gives out and gives last glow on his eyes and suddenly collapses.
That would be epic but sadly that’s not what happened...

Very few songs give me legitimate chills, but this one does it! The original part in the main song was great but the extended version is even more intense. Great job, im hitting the replay button now.
This is one of my favorite parts of ascended, just because of how hopeless it sounds. In the animation especially, when you see that Papyrus and Gaster are both injured, and Sans is all that's left to protect them, which leads to his death.
Now i totally understand whats going on in this picture this is giving me major chills
The one in the front is definitely sans cause remember that in season 1 as soon as gaster got hit he went gaster blaster wall mode, so this is probably sans summoning the wall that we see in the trailer to protect his family,Or a different one, the two in the back are gaster holding papyrus, or papyrus holding gaster. We don’t know.

I know that the final part is Megalovania, but it is only the outro in my opinion.I also have another theory: Asriel will not die because in one episode his soul is intact

it quiet a nice theory/summarize imo:
Vain sounds like Vantablack but its a lot more intense signifying that it will be Gaster’s Solo battle.
Family which starts with some slow piano, now i can explain why it has a slow piano. Based on this song, every time a Character dies it has Vocals, Eternal Rest=Vocals, After Ascension=Vocals, you get the point but in this slow piano, there is NO vocals so no skeletons are dying in Family after the slow piano part we get a remix of Vain, Megalovania and Papyrus’ fight theme in Game Over Part 2 which presumably means that this is The Bad Time Trio.
Eternal Rest then starts up with the first death in the battle this is presumably Papyrus, Why? Here’s my explanation. If Gaster dies in Eternal Rest, who ascends in Ascension? If sans dies in Eternal Rest, then why would there be a Megalovania Remix in Epilogue (more on that later) and on the side note, After Eternal Rest there is no sign of Bonetrousle, Papyrus’ theme.
Then we have the MOST obvious one Ascension, based on previous speedpaints music and stuff we can assume that this is Gaster’s fight in his most powerful form, based on your theory Gaster without the skelebros existing will be at MAX power, this is also confirmed by Cami in her Leaders speedpaint of Gaster where in the comments when someone said that he wanted to see Gaster at full power Cami agreed and then hearted a comment on that comment saying: you can see if she kills of sans and papyrus in S2. So that.
Now the final one: Epilogue, Gaster dies in this part of the song based on the Slow Piano and Vocals, then this is where Sans gets back, i 100% agree that Sans is having trouble because he’s only surviving off of determination, without it, he’s dead, but reminder, in Ascension Sans would probably be mourning Papyrus’ death, and based on Glitchtales lore Monsters can now make their own determination, this is confirmed in Game Over Part 2 where when Mettaton was presumably dead, he got back up with a red glow in his eye, probably determination, then when Chara arrives he then shuts down presumably dying, we know this based on Muffet carrying Mettaton where his eye is no longer glowing red. Now based on all that Sans after mourning Papyrus’ death gains a DT boost so now his power is back at MAX, no OVER MAX he’s stronger than him with Frisk’s soul, how do we know this? Based on S1 EP1 Frisk lacked the Determination to beat sans until Chara came in, when Sans got Frisk’s soul he gained a power boost bringing him back to full energy, he was no longer sweating as well. With that combined he DESTROYED Chara, same in Yet Darker, where Frisk’s Soul allowed him to beat Gaster, now at this point it still won’t make sense right? But here is the clincher, sans is purely surving on a tiny drop of DT and Undyne’s blood with this in mind he was isn’t only surviving on DT he’s also relying on Undyne’s Blood, his own DT and Frisk’s DT. This makes him Very, VERY more powerful than him with Frisk’s soul, he is in a point of power in a mix of his Max power, Undyne the Undying and LV 19 Frisk, this humongous power boost allows him to hopefully still survive his Special Attack explaining the Megalovainia Remix at the end of Epilogue, he will not die in this battle based on the fact there are no longer any slow piano’s with vocals.
Now I see what's gonna happen.

most music can evoke some sort of emotion or feeling from me, but this one just makes me feel... empty i guess. its a nice contrast for me, its not thrilling, its not sadness, its just a state of coldness that i wouldn't be able to use when i need it usually

I keep getting asked why I listen to this almost 5 times a day. Eventually, the conversation ends with me yelling “SILENCE HEATHEN”
I cannot wait for Eternal Rest (Extended)! Aside from it being my favorite part, that climactic shift near the end is just glorious.
If I were to make my own predictions, the picture is Sans holding Papyrus, while Gaster summons the wall of blasters.
If you think about it from the trailer, Sans didn’t struggle to summon a ton behind him. Papyrus was sadly being crushed by Betty’s fist, so he would be wounded afterwards. Gaster’s magic has been weakened ever since his first encounter with Betty, so the chance of him struggling to summon that much magic is understandable. Also, just look at the style of blaster, those aren’t Sans’.

If you look back in the trailer, Sans's gaster blaster designs was changed and has teeth. Plus, the background is the same exact one when Sans was flying up in the trailer. Gaster is taller, way skinner than that, doesn't have a too rounded head and has only one giant gaster blaster in his current form, which is duality.

Zero Animates Maybe so, but would Cami really change the design of Sans’ blasters to something so “aggressive”? He is her favorite character, so would she change the design of his signature attack by that much?
These blasters are narrower and sharper, the bone of the lower jaw juts straight out in the back. We’ve never seen Gaster’s “Basic’ blaster, only the Giant one when he activated Duality. Sans’ and Papyrus’s blasters have a curved out jawbone in the back. It would make sense for Gaster to have the same, but anything is possible.
Duality isn’t a permanent “transformation” per se, it’s just a strong magic technique that he can use when one of his children dies. It can expire.
Lav4_ RAVG They may or may not. Cami has a way of pulling tricks on us. I noticed that these blasters look much aggressive than Sans’ normal ones, despite evolution of design. I’m just a sucker for noticing small details, lol.

Honestly, "Ascended" is kinda my Gaster's Finale even though the songs are all completely new. But I definitely consider making a full Gaster's Judgement part 2.. I'll keep it in mind

To be honest, people say it looks like sans is summoning the gaster blasters but it actually looks like gaster is the person summoning the gaster blasters. It also looks like papyrus is holding sans.
