I was gifted a long vine of philo Brazil. I had the vine in water for quite a while and it would not root. Finally I cut between the nodes and put the cuttings in a perlite prop box. They rooted in no time. I would remove that long vine from your soil before you lose it and allow it to root first. I also find rooting in perlite makes the roots easier to transition than from water to soil. I wind up adding my cuttings in the pot with my lemon lime philodendrons. It looks so pretty together. I have mines abt 6 ft from a south facing window and also pretty close to a grow light and I have a humidifier near her. She has given me new leaves all year. Very healthy. She is in s as terracotta pot with soil enriched with worm castings I also added perlite and a bark mixture. I also have my philo micans next to her same setup. That’s what keeps mines happy. I hope that helps ❤
What a brilliant idea mixing the two! 😲! You’ve given me something to think about. You’re right about propagating. It struggles from water to soil a tiny bit. Mine has since fully recovered and is doing very well. Thanks for the tips! Happy growing! 🪴
@ oh you are very welcome friend. That perlite propagation method is really a game changer. Please share a pic of the pot once you mix. They grow together so well. You’ll love it
When my philodendron brasil was in soil it was in my bathroom and it grew so well but now i cut and water prop and now it in leca and pon absolutely love this plant, one of my first plants.
Philodendron isn't my favorite plant genus. I only own the Birkin but, it's a newer plant in my collection so I'm not sure about the care as yet. Your lemon lime philodendron is gorgeous! I'm for sure adding it to my wishlist!
The Birkin is really pretty. I remember when they were so sought after. Thank you. The lemon limes are easy to find so you should be able to spot one with no problem. Thanks for watching. 😊🪴
I just subscribed! 🎉 but I have noticed that if I buy any philodendron that’s mature they all die on me from root rot than when I buy them small or a cutting and grow them to my own environment they thrive better in my place ❤
What an observation! Yes! Sometimes a smaller plant is better because it’s less stressful to adjust it to new conditions vs an older plant. I have noticed that too. Great comment! Thanks for sharing. Also, welcome to the community! 😊🪴
What are your favourite Philodendrons?
My current favorite is the Philadendron Squarmiferum. I am obsessed with it 💚
I tend to like trailing philodendron. I would have to say my lemon lime philodendron and also my micans. With my Brazil coming in third place

Yes a very good looking plant. Beautiful variegation too. Happy growing! 🪴😊
Wow the Florida beauty is so beautiful 😍 the verrucosum loves high humidity in my experience. That seems to be the key.
Thank you! And I really appreciate the Verrucosum tip! 😆 🪴🤗

New subscriber here!. I have learned a lot from you in just a few short minutes. Bonus, my best friend is from ST. Lucia too.
Hi 👋🏽 welcome! That’s so cool. I’m glad you’re enjoying my content.
One of my favorite genre/ species.❤❤❤
Mine too! 😊🪴
I have quite a few philodendrons. I have most of mine in my home made pun or in pumice and they are thriving in semi hydro.
That’s fantastic! I do find a few of them to be on the thirstier side so I can se why semi hydro would work well. 🪴😊
You would love a variegated Burle Marx. It’s one of my favourites. They grow like weeds and beautiful variegation.
You’re right! It’s actually on my Wishlist and even included in my Wishlist video hehe. 😜
