- I love the Vita! It's my favorite handheld, so it makes me sad that not everyone knows what makes it so great. After the new of Vita games being removed from PlayStation Plus next year, I felt inspired to finally talk about this great device.
Admittedly, I say "admittedly" a lot in this video.

Remote play is a reason alone I'll always keep My vita (aside from my decent size fame collection). I have a PS4 pro but my wife uses our 4k television quite a bit so having the option to sit on the couch with her playing on my Vita is just fantastic.
I also own a Switch and while I LOVE it the Vita still has several advantages over it.
It's MUCH more portable and requires no planning or real bag space to bring it with me.
It has MUCH better battery life.
It has a MUCH bigger library at this point (and RPG wise likely always will).
I actually lucked out when I bought my first vita secondhand and they left a 32GB memory card inside without even noticing.

Came across your channel randomly. Love the funny moments lol. Earned my sub. Also, Im pissed they never brought an English Monster Hunter game to the vita. All the good ones are on 3DS. We have the Japanese Monster Hunter Frontier but you might as well just get Freedom Unite for PSP and play it on the vita. However, It seems as the vita leaves sonys sights, more hacks will hit the system. Making it even better to own.
I've got to say considering your relatively new channel your videos are actually pretty solid you've got a good little formula the only thing that i feel "Meh" about is the B roll. Maybe find a way to make it a bit smoother. That would explain nice :3

Oh man. I never seen gameplay footage of Freedom wars. I might actually check this out. Great video man! From one vita-fan to another. I played the Trails of Cold Steel series on here and honestly it was one of the best JRPG experiences of my life.
I have a hard time staying with trails of cold steel. I loved the story of the first one but it took me a year to get through because I kept losing interest. Same thing is happening with 2. Just isn’t clicking for me which is sad because I’m so interested in the story! 😭
That's fine man. Not every formula works for everybody. Trails 1 almost felt like a slice of life anime but in the background a massive political story was building. Once the background plot exploded into the main plot it just solidified it as one of the best RPG's to me.
The second game is a lot more direct I found. The main plot is always unfolding in the foreground and the adventure is a lot more like standard RPG's. I think most people enjoyed the second more because it's pace was much faster, but I liked the liesurely slow build of the first while learning about the land and the characters.

Finally got to watch this video, and i must say THANK YOUUUUUU for bringing love to the Vita. I love my Vita, but yes as you say there's plenty wrong with it. My biggest issue is the memory cards. It really had a lot of potential, but sony dropped the ball. And now the switch is basically casting a giant shadow on it. I hope one day, it'll get the love it deserves, but alas, us fans must sorrow for now. Great stuff as always, man :D
Hahaha that was hilarious, loved your thoughts thanks! I just got a 1000 model vita 2 weeks ago with a 16gb card and carrying case for about USD $85 ($119 AUD). Just put a tempered glass screen protector on it last week so it's good to go :) I currently just have p4golden, Ys memories of celceta and god eater resurrection but have always wanted freedom wars so i can't wait to find it!

Good video my friend. I actually just got a vita thinking i will be able to play ps1 classics and what not as well as vita games ofcourse..but i think i made a mistake cause most titles i wanted to play i cant find in the australian psn..

I agree the Vita has a ton of games, including the games from ps 4, if you own a ps 4. Plus there is psp and psp vita games. I have a 16 GB card to. Dude there is some way, though not easy to do, to format memory cards, but I could not figure it out, even with you-tube videos.
The ps Vita is my choice, because of all the games it has, and it is also portable, where the Switch is a little bigger to lug around. Also the vita has longer battery life then the switch. And the Vita has more games, then the switch. The games are cheaper for the vita, for the most part. The Vita is not as expensive as the Switch.
For me I knew what gaming system I wanted, and yes, I am very happy with my Vita. I take it everywhere with me, even to the rest room, bed room, and out and about, and laying on the couch, to Doc appointments. Long live the Vita, what an amazing machine, just too bad the memory cards are so expensive.
I've always thought it was a great piece of kit and wanted one. But I've never invested in the PlayStation eco system and find it difficult jumping in. The handheld kit itself is so awesome though.

Love the vita sad it wasn't given as much love as it needed but I still use it and play many games including remote play when I'm out of my house to play monster hunter world on the go

I picked up a used vita on ebay when it hit its lowest about 3-4 years ago (only paid like $90) and I can say wholeheartedly that it was 100% worth it. The games are super cheap and I've been introduced to so many new games I probably wouldn't have played otherwise, since. Not to mention I got to delve back into the Digimon series with the newer games releasing on vita when at the time I didn't own a ps4. Freedom Wars is a fantastic example of an exclusive done right and honestly is worth buying a vita for. The PSN sales were also amazing back when I first bought it (not so much now but summer is upon us which means sales). It's a breathe of fresh air especially from someone who was detached from playstation for such a long time after the PSP lost support. I've since bought a ps4 (and i'm mainly a nintendo guy but I love me a good game and am very open to new games). I've been meaning to delve back into my Vita games soon and I think this video was the push I needed. I need to beat that final boss in Freedom Wars and actually play more of persona 4 Golden.
Freedom Wars is enough to have a Vita, Tearaway is the best Vita game for me and one of the best games from all Playstations
I have a lot of games for my Vita, and I am always sad because I can't download them all on my 8gb Memory Card, so I am trying to get some physical games :3
Dude I loved this video for you showing some love to a spectacular console like the vita! But come on now the Xbox one is great! Yeah sure it doesn't have THAT many exclusives like the ps4 but the exclusives they do have are excellent and worthwhile. Gears 4, forza horizon 3, sunset overdrive, halo 5 and ori etc...
Are all essential titles this gen....
And the backward compatible library is INSANE!
The vita playing psp and ps1 games are also one of the biggest cases I make for the vita as well!

I also wanted to add that to your video regarding the vita is that playing psp games is the definitive way to play those games on the vita. Like for example the psp has a solid amount of fps games but playing them on an actual psp is a pain with that one analog stick! This isn't an issue on the vita with that 2nd stick and with that beautiful screen even for ps1 games the experience is just that much better in my opinion

Well at this point if you're on fw 3.60 get henkaku plus nopsdrm, and enjoy your PS vita to the fullest.
I don’t know which to buy tho, a Ps Vita or a Gaming Phone (Xiaomi Black Shark) coz Triple A games also coming in smartphones and plus, most triple a games on Vita have issues on frame rates :(

I think if they made a game for ps4 they would give Monster hunter a run for their money and personally i think Soul sacrifice would win. Just saying lol

Found my vita in an old box. Plugged it in and I don't know how I lost track of it. Glad I fount it and enjoyed playing it once again. I enjoy it more than my switch. To bad Playstation cut the cord on this and the main reason I remember not buying games and probably the reason it wasn't a success was the price of the games and the memory card.
It really is a great system to come back to. Like with my psp, it's not something I play all the time anymore so when I do it's usually an extra good time
Make sure you buy a Memory card soon as u buy a Vita other then that you wont be able to play physical games on the Vita......yup I am Charlie Moon and I approve this message

The Vita is so good I still can't believe that Sony made such a balls-up of selling a machine that (if it didn't have stupidly expensive memory cards and non-existant marketing) would have sold itself.
I think if Sony marketed it again and reduced the price of the console slightly and waaaay reduced the price of the memory cards it would still sell itself as it's still a pretty well spec'd machine.
It could do with a slight upgrade, maybe a new Wi-Fi chip and a bit faster graphics processing and it would be able to play pretty much anything you could throw at it and I would definitely keep its size and layout the same as I think it's perfect.
I risky agree. If they bring out a 200 vita successor with micro SD support AND they market it well, they could do wonders
Just came across this video, I have a PS Vita and love it so much. It has more interesting games than the Switch at this moment. Heck they even released Stardew Valley for the Vita.
As a AAA gamer I am happier with vita than I was with psp though I do wish more AAA games were coming out

I’m not sure about RTS but there some good turn based strategy games, plus a nice selection of top down shooters and whatnot. Especially indie games

That Dragon quest builders is expensive now. Where did you get it from? I slept on collecting for the Vita but now I'm starting to buy more games. It's good cause Gamestop is discounting Vita games. The mangers have gotten happy when I go and buy a lot of games.

I have 2 vitas, both are oled black color , one is in excellent condition, one is brand new in box a 64gb memory, a 32 one and a 16 one, i have sd gundam g generation genesis(english) super robot wars v and x, persona 4 , killzone, gravity rush, doa xtreme 3 and i wont trade them for everything.

I really like the cross-buy feature because if one day I buy a PS4 I know I will have games to play ( and trophies to unlock a second time :P ).
Speaking of cross-buy, it would also be great if playstation was more into cross platform mp. I get where they are coming from, but it would still be nice to play some of my computer games with my friends.

I just bought a Vita and I love it. The memory cards being $100 dollars killed it. They could have easily lowered the prices on that, but they wanted to gouge their customers and ended up ruining a great console.

The Vita's technically region free, but don't you have to reset it to factory conditions and change regions each time you play a lot of games from different regions? I remember having to do something like that when I had one way back when.
Not that I know of, although the only imports I have are from Japan. But when I wanna play them I just pop in the cartridge like any other game

I have the Vita. It's the ULTIMATE JRPG machine for me. Literally ALL the PSX, PSP and Vita games I ever want is there. Mobile. With great cheat features available, so I can rid of the grind I have no time for and jump directly to the story. Yay!

If you any of you loved the Vita, get a Switch. Its everything Vita aimed to do except that the parent company won't ditch it like Sony. And unlike Sony, Nintendo doesn't shove proprietary expensive memory cards down our throats. And it has some of the best games of 2017 on it.
