At the end of this video, you said which teams could have the toughest road in 2023. Those are the exact teams that made the WS and Texas won it. Funny. Nice prediction.
Great video and analysis. I would like to point out the analysis lacks one playoff round: the regular season. Example: The 1980 Yankees had an expensive ALCS entry ticket where the Orioles finished 2nd with 100 wins that year. On the very same year, the Royals had an easy run to the ALCS where the second place A's had 83 wins.
The 2019 Washington Nationals played the Brewers in the NL Wild Card Game. They played the Dodgers in the NLDS, and played the Cardinals (who defeated Atlanta) in the NLCS. In the 2019 NLCS, the Nationals swept the Cardinals. They also were never losing at any point in the series, and kept a lead whenever they had it.
No arguments, I'd say the 97 marlins could even get thrown in there because of the expansion factor and beating an all time Indians team, but yeah that's a solid list.
I'd personally put the 02 Angels on this list Yankees, Twins, and the Giants with Game 6 of the 2002 World Series having the greatest comeback in World Series history
Ok, I may be a little bit biased as a Cardinals fan, but I think they were Washington's thoughest opponent. My reasoning here is that if you look at the past times Washington made the playoffs, they were beaten by the Cardinals almost every time. The Cardinals were their nemesis, which I feel made them the biggest obstacle in their way. For anyone else, it would be the Astros. Again, I may be a little biased, but that's just my thoughts on it
Looking at team wins is not the best way to go about things. Many teams have won 100 games with questionable pitching and been destroyed in the playoffs. 2003 Braves come to mind for me. First year I watched baseball.
Can we retire the "2020 World Series doesn't count" narrative? The Dodgers were on track for a 116 win season had they played a full season and outside of the first round of the expanded playoffs, the playoffs largely played out as expected. In addition, you disproved your own narrative by mentioning that exact same series earlier in the video.
@@Zark_Moneybags69 So you would have rather there had been no season? Because that would have been the alternative and you still would have complained.
