Thanks for visiting my town! As someone who has lived here all my life I will tell you that it gets pretty hectic during the 4th of July. Tons of traffic, About 10x as many American flags, Firework show on the 3rd, the carnival at the common, concerts at independence park. It's a very lively time of year for us. If you ever return, definitely check out Colt State Park which is a nice place to have some lunch by the water and explore some of the wooded pathways that take you to the shore. There you can escape the crowd and see the few skyscrapers of Providence in the distance. And if you have even more time, venture a little more south to Newport which is pretty much the most renowned spot to visit in RI. Tons of Beaches, Food and shopping down Thames St and Americas Cup Ave, the Cliff walk, Newport Mansions that you can tour, and no shortage of yachts lol
Wonderful video!! I’ve been to Rhode Island a couple of times, but am not that impressed with Providence. I’m driving through next week and think this time I’ll try Bristol! It looks lovely there and I love small towns with New England charm.
Hahahaha it was quite bold if me. I bought it bc it looks cute and didn’t even think of the repercussions of wearing it in New England 😂 I got made fun of a lot by the locals, but it’s all good! We’re glad you enjoy our videos! Thanks for watching!
A successful Fall Foliage Road Trip! The videos were excellent! Just a little bit of fog and rain here and there but nothing bad right? Your guys' videos inspired me to plan a trip up there with friends possibly next fall. Cant wait to check out your guys' Sicily vids!!! "Like"
Awww thanks so much, Ernie! We are so pumped you liked it :) and yay!!!! The fact you want to plan a trip to go there now is exactly what we hoped to inspire someone to do. It’s such an underrated area. Cheers!!
New England really is beautiful, thanks for showing off the beauty of fall. If only I could get one of those lobster rolls without having to travel to Rhode Island, lol.
The Olney family has a distinguished history. During the American Revolutionary War several Olney's served as officers and one was in command of the integrated Rhode Island Regiment 'The Black Regiment" which fought at Yorktown, and the only New England unit at Yorktown. Lt. Col. Jerimiah Olney was the last American officer to use a spontoon (basically a spear used as a symbol of rank) in combat when his regiment assaulted a British fortification at night.

thank you for doing federal hill!
No problem! Wish we spent more time there to be honest!
Since you guys loved Bristol, If you guys do this again and come back for a longer time frame, you should check out Colt State.
Lindenplace in Bristol was actually used in the Great Gatsby as was Rosecliff in Newport.
WHAT?!!!!!!!!! Ok we knew it felt familiar!
Another great and iconic view of Providence is from the terrace at Prospect Park. Highly recommended if you find yourself near Brown/RISD again.
Thanks for the tip!
That's where I take people who visit. Definitely the BEST view of the city!

If we had to pick one, we'd choose Bristol! Let us know what you think of it, and have a great trip!
Love it you rock the Yankees hat, love all your videos, keep rolling around US and for me to see all the videos and learn something from my country😊🥰

I visited Rhode Island last Aug. I enjoyed it.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching
You should plan a midwest fall color tour next year. Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin maybe Minnesota.
That sounds SO fun! The Midwest seems super interesting to us! Thanks for the idea!
Glad you liked Bristol, we LOVE it here, great town, very friendly people!
Such a cute town. Thanks for watching!
I love Providence. We got there on our Nova Scotia/Maine trip too. Looks like you really mined your travel well!

Thank you for the recommendation!!

Ditto on the lobster rolls! We are desperately looking for them elsewhere, but they aren’t easy to find 👀 thanks for keeping up with this series!
Did you get to New Port, RI? Some find it gaudy; but the "cottages" for the wealthy from NYC are uniquely Rhode Island.
We didn't make it to Newport but heard amazing things!
My ancestors were from there. The Olneys. I need to go visit. Thank you for the tour.
Woah! So cool! Thanks for watching!

Thanks guys! I'm interested in checking out the Federal Hill area next time we're in New England. Safe travels!
You totally should! Thanks for watching!
Should have found your way down to Newport.
We do regret not visiting there!!!
What is the name of the Inn you stayed at your 1st night of this video, please?
The Whaler's Inn!
After Providecne visit Romania, eastern Europe
We'd love to visit eastern europe!
@@TouristtoLocal yep, good idea ! I'm in Providence after Eastern Europe, 2 different worlds..
Gosh! We have a tiny state and you only tapped into one corner of it. Come back and check out our islands and our beaches!
Oh absolutely! We didn't realize there was so much to do here, so we need to come back!
