@بنت ‏أحمد the bi'ithnillah wasnt for the dua as per such, rather it was to attest that through spouses, only Allah can give us peace and tranquility as all good is from Allah and Him alone, that being said, your statement is true and may Allah bless you fid dunya wal akhirah for the reminder

Ya Ustadh, I love you for the sake of Allah, but I have a question. Why do you give the shaytan credit at the end? Doesn't the Hadith narrated in Abu Dawud, from Abu Malih regarding his riding beast, classed as sahih by Sheikh al-Albani, state one should not do this?

Why did ustadh mention that after the wilayah is stripped from the father, she can pick someone she trusts from her family and if not, it can be passed onto the believers. Is this with the pre-requsite that everyone else that had the ability to be her wali, no longer does, because im sure that once her father is stripped from it, it automatically goes to her grandfather and so on and so forth, can someone please clarify, or am I conflating two seperate issues.

@@ummabdulrahmaan8827 wa aleikum salaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, I always thought there was essentially a tree for those in line for the wilayah as that's what I've been told by my teachers which include the students of ustadh Abdul Rahman Hassan. Nonetheless it reminds me of my ignorance and the need to seek knowledge as I believe I confused myself on this issue. Jazaka'Allah Khayran for the answer and to double check I'll look into this mas'alah further and return back here in sha Allah!

I got no father and only no muslim mother so that the way. But also the imam of the masjid I work signed a letter saying that I was muslima and I used to work in the masjid too. He wrote it to the imam who was supposed to make the nikah in Arabic. Complicated.

@@TheOneLogic69 why tho? For all we know, a young muslim guy might meet someone bad and doesn't even need permission, but for a girl if the parents disagree with race (which is disgustingly racist) she needs 'permission'? Honestly people need to stop being so stupid and closed minded and allow their kids to marry different races as long as he is a good Muslim🤦🏽‍♀️

@@sarakhreawish6322 You cannot equate the two tho. Men and women deal with different issues in marriage and different things are required of them. If anything, it's for the protection of the women, and men who do marry someone unfit don't get looked at as good either so idk why people act like men have it easier.
I'm not saying she should be prevented from marrying someone from a different race, but then again I've seen this happen within my own family and you really have no idea why a women might pick someone outside her race either. I've seen many do it just because it's a "cool & hip" thing to them or she's sympathizing only to find out she didn't realize that man was projecting his own identity issues onto her. That guy might even pray, go to the masjid, etc but she has no idea what it means to be a good Muslim and she's just romanticizing all of it, and the father sees that. Subhanallah...there's a lot of that happening nowadays.
