Great tips and techniques! I don't have any light setups yet, but now I have to try some of these tips out especially the natural light when indoors and I like the shower curtain/sheet use if you don't have the professional diffusers. I'm at that stage where I'm just starting out and don't want to spend too much and then realize this isn't for me, so I like using what is already around me. Then if need be I can always upgrade later down the road if necessary. I've also been learning about shooting day for night and how light temperature can drastically change the appearance on screen
This is fantastic, Adam! You make everything very accessible. I would tend to go on and on with a lot of theory as I am sure you remember. Ha ha! But you make it very easy to grasp and the concepts are clear. That is good. I do seem to remember sharing a few of those el cheapo tricks in class. Ha ha! Gorilla missionary video,101! Great stuff!
Thanks! There's definitely a place to discuss theory, and that often can help people to understand the concepts, but for these videos I'm trying to keep it practical and applicable. And trust me - when I'm in the classroom, I FREQUENTLY find myself going on and on, so maybe it's the environment!
I never knew that’s what they meant by book light haha. Thanks for explaining this in a way that anyone can understand!
Actually, in the office we're just a big fan of lights for paperback books.
