Wow that 2014 Sprinter with the sun roof is WIIILD. Amazing build. I wouldn't need a shower in my van personally but otherwise its perfect. Would love to see whoever that is doing a full tour video
Being able to stand up is a mighty upgrade. I took my van to Alaska, came home and immediately put a hi-top on it. Went again this summer, so much more enjoyable. And you can set the bed high enough to get a huge garage.
AGH! That's literally the dream!! I didn't even consider it when I first bought my transit connect but now it seems so obvious after 3 years with it and countless trips. and i want a garage so bad for all my gear😭😭

As a former skoolie dweller, I would say the windows were definitely a negative most of the time. I ended up covering them most of the time and windows and roof always leaked water. Also it was very difficult to find anyone willing or able to work on it. I ended up moving into a Subaru for over a year and that was far better for me. If I had had the funds for both the purchase and fuel, I would have bought a Transit high top. I’ve driven all the high top vans at work and I thought Transits were the best and most reliable. Just be aware the operating cost is probably about double what you’re used to in your current van.

And yeah, I am assuming a normal mechanic would probably not be wanting to mess with a school bus so that makes total sense!! I don't really have the funds for a transit high top either but i gotta make some sort of change or im gonna go crazy. I will miss the simplicity and low cost of my transit connect though😭
It doesn't matter what other people think. What matters is that you're comfortable with it and what vibes with you. But whatever you get it doesn't hurt to have it looked at by a mechanic beforw you get it!

Hi Erin, I think women refer van and men refer pickup truck. But either way you may choose better get help someone know about (engine) car. About millage does not matter. I think the most matters are reliable, fuel, and enough budge. Checkout how much water you need and electrical (how many watts you want) if they are including solar. That would be great. Bathroom and toilet you may need but seem not necessary. Because most people they use in fitness after workout. Don't let something else to fool you. Good luck Erin.

It's Econoline, not Ecoline. Also, that last van, which is a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 with the 170" wheelbase & the extended body is definitely not a 2014 model year since it's the pre-facelifted NCV3 body, as 2014s have the post-facelifted front end.
Watch out for vehicles that may have spent a lot of time idling; like ambulances and buses. The odometer won't give you a good idea of how worn the engine is in those cases.

What ever you do don't buy pre 2,000. Some state as mine any auto place will not work on it, as their state don't carry parts, and they will not used other part you get, I when through it after spending so much and time to dump it at a junk yard for free. Brough a transit 250 30 k . But the former 351 high top ford used 40-50 gas a week the transit 11 buck. Reason is v6 small and the 6 speed, it's don't rev the engine fast 1-2-3-4 25 mph and drive as a car. Look at older work van mine was too. Expensive but glad I did. Now to interior it again
@@erin_elyse hey tell you my trick on the 2017 250 transit, the 250 take the weight , as you putting 1,500 in, it don't sag as the 150 do. Try this on your car too. Fill it full top it off. Then count the days till it show full. Mine was 5 days, then fill up same. See how much when in. Mine was 10 buck even. So every 5 day, to me that a week I put in 10 or 11 buck . Now wait till a nug under full and put in the same, better to work that range, so 10 but =ll tank every 5 days or a week is 5 x 6 = 30 or 6 week vs 4 week. So it really 60 a month vs 175 the old 150 ford . It it feel so cool putting 10 buck pocket money and seeing full tank . And 5 day is long seem a week. Watchout on the dodge front wheel drive and Tran problem are common after 100 k. The transit need a dealer oil change not zippy 500 buck but that with syntenic oil that 100 buck. The transit drive as the smaller one you have . First van that drive as a car, effortly even up hill power to spare, no noise Or used lower gear.

Older vehicles that run are hidden gems. They can and do outlive their owners for the most part.
It doesn't matter what other people think. What matters is that you're comfortable with it and what vibes with you. But whatever you get it doesn't hurt to have it looked at by a mechanic beforw you get it!

Try looking at a Nissan NV2500 it’s not as big as a promaster but you can stand up in it! I’m looking at getting one myself.
