it’s actually “Seth Green” who was the inspiration FOR ‘Buffalo Bill’.
Believe it or not, “Seth Green” is actually a 74 year old Vietnam Vet named Robert Sandlin-
Robert was born in Buffalo, N.Y., but spent the majority of his childhood and adolescence in Warren, Ohio…..
-His grade-school friends gave him the nickname
‘Buffalo-Bob”,
and it stuck with him all throughout his high-school years, and beyond.
In 1967, Robert “Buffalo-Bob”/“Seth Green” Sandlin
was conscripted to serve in the United States Army.
(He would, today, be considered to be a part of “Project-100,000”…. Also known as “McNamera’s Morons”..)
In 1971, at the age of 22, he was court-martialed for his participation in the ‘My Lai Massacre’-which took place 3 years prior, in March of 1968, during his service in Vietnam.
He was originally sentenced to life in prison, before having his sentence reduced to a Dishonorable-Discharge, and was released from the Stockades.
He subsequently returned to Ohio, and spent the next 10 years on a murdering-spree, all over the states of Ohio, West Virginia, and Tennessee.
He would kidnap women, skin them, and use their skin at material to sew-together and make “woman-skin-suits”.
He was a pretty weird guy….
Anyway,
Eventually, after he slipped up and abducted the daughter of a high-profile politician, he attracted the attention of the FBI.
They sent one of their top lady academy graduates to investigate the disappearances, with the help of a man in a mental hospital in Boston, Massachusetts named
Hector..
(Obviously they had to change certain names and places to protect the identities of those involved, so the character’s name in the book & movie was changed to “H[annibal L]ector” 😏)
And, well, I guess we all sort of know the rest of the story.
BUT-whereas in the end of S.O.T.L., where the FBI lady ends up shooting Bill”,
In actuality-Last minute, they were able to rescue the girl in the hole.
Knowing that his “goose was cooked”, so to speak-instead of attacking “Clarice”, he surrendered, and agreed to confess to dozens of other murders, and then become in informant for the FBI, to help them solve murders in a fashion similar to that of “H[annibal L]ector”, in exchange for immunity and eventual admittance into the Witness Protection Program….
After helping them obtain information that directly lead to the solving of several different murders over the next 5 years, Buffalo Bob was finally admitted into the FBI’s Witness Protection Program..
As far as anybody knows, Robert Sandlin died of a ‘heart-attack’ in the year 1986.
After entering into the witness protection program, he was given the name “Seth Green”-along with extensive cosmetic/facial-reconstructive surgeries-and the back-story of a successful actor and film/Television writer.
He would go on to star-in and write a plethora of successful films and television shows.
But if you look closely, you can see that “Seth’s” (Robert/Bob’s) true age is starting to show, despite all the cosmetic work he’s had done..
The female FBI Agent was so affected by the whole experience, that she retired from the FBI and from Law Enforcement entirely.
She wrote a memoir of her experience with H[annibal L]ector and Buffalo Bob-
& she took up a male-pseudonym, so that she could have her memoirs published and not have to worry about the NDA that she was made to sign while working for the FBI.
(Thomas Harris… maybe you’ve heard of them??🤷🏽♂️😏)
Anyway,
Over the years, the story was passed along and along and along-and it somehow got twisted into “Hey I heard that Seth Green actually based Chris Griffin on Buffalo Bill”
When it’s actually Seth Green who was the Inspiration for Buffalo Bill!!

OK i came here because I want to hear this after hearing that Chris Griffin’s voice was based on Buffalo Bill. I think that’s why there’s moments where Chris is creepy, like with his grandmother, and this.😂

When finally Catherine gets Precious in her arms we can figure out how she managed to touch his weak spot . Catherine is smart and strong enough to handle the situation well
