I wanted to know how to use my new attachments and found your RUclips video, your explanation and teaching were excellent, and very instructive and now I know how to use them. Thank you Christine

    Hey Tina Merry Christmas,
    I just bought this attachment and I immediately tried it on Brussels Sprouts.
    I think it actually made cooking the sprouts quicker and I think it would also make a great salad.
    But for salads, could I use this attachment for romaine lettuce and if so, which blade should I use?
    Thanks!

    • @epicuricloud
      @epicuricloud  3 года назад

      Hi CJ! I'm not sure it would cut the floppy edges of the Romaine lettuce. If I were to try it, I'd use the slicing blade.

      Hi Renata - I like the slicing blade for cabbage. Since the cabbage grows in layers - it cuts nice shreds. I cut the cabbage into wedges that will fit easily in the large feed tube. Always have the unit running on speed 4. let it process each wedge one at a time - don't apply a lot of pressure with the pusher. Hope that helps!

      Hello - I haven't tried those meats in particular. I did try Pepperoni - with good/not-so-great results depending upon the brand/texture. If it were me - I'd probably try a food processor with exact slice - so I could adjust the thickness to a pretty thin slice. epicuricloud not much of anything.. it rotates but it just doesn’t shred... I cut the veggies smaller thinking maybe it was too much surface to shred but it didn’t seem to matter. My son has one so I think I’m going to swap it out and see if his works any differently. Another thing.. the chute isn’t perpendicular to the kitchenaid. I don’t know if that would play a part in the problem. It makes a clunking noise but others have said the same about theirs.
