WARRANTY IMPLICATIONS! We've gotten this question a lot recently so here's GM's statement on installing this kit (either yourself or paying to have it done): "Voids New Vehicle Limited Warranty on Front suspension components (control arms, knuckles, tie-rods, halfshafts, and dampers)." Long story short, if you are worried about your bumper-to-bumper warranty, don't modify your vehicle. Even though GM manufactures this kit themselves, they will not warranty it.
So why did you pick the GM kit over the others ? I already made a set of spacers but have not put them on yet. Basically they are exactly the same as the Readylift , 589, RC ……. I think it really is crappy of GM not to warranty with their product. My plan is to run a 275/70/17 (32.xx”)on my Bison. Basically doing it for a “little” better approach and a slight clearance , stance , ect…. Where I live we have a lot of fire trails and woods to explore but nothing crazy. Thanks for the good vids. 👍🏻
Thats... Interesting. You would think that a gm branded part made for a specific application wouldnt void warranty. I know theres benefit in the long run to go for the UCA kit but if the warranty is getting voided anyway might as well get a shock spacer kit for 1/4 of the price
My favorite trip in my Colorado ZR2 was it's first elk hunting trip last year in WA state. We ended up wheeling into a road that had not been cleared of fallen trees all summer/fall and the chainsaw and truck both got a workout. It all paid off and my father and I brought home two spike elk after camping near a beautiful high mountain stream. #overlanddiy
So due to your awesome Colorado videos, how-to's and adventures, I actually ordered a 2022 ZR2 yesterday! Going from a 2017 RAM 2500 to a Colorado and I can't wait! (Although it may be 3+ months before I see it, UGH). Thanks to you, I have a list of mods I can't wait to do. Great video. Love the humor and camaraderie you both share. Just picked up my 22 Bison yesterday after ordering it in February of last year. So far, my favorite trip has been the drive home! I had to sacrifice a ton of options just to get it into production so this channel will be my go-to for all the #OVERLANDDIY projects I plan on doing. Thanks for all the helpful info and entertainment!
I bought my 2021 ZR2 a few months ago and found your channel while researching which truck I wanted to buy. No real big trip yet, unless you count driving out to Ocean Shores from Port Angeles. Keep it up! #OverlandDIY
#OVERLANDDIY My favorite trip so far has been my only trip in it, to the Outer Banks about 3 weeks after I bought it brand new. My wife and I got the off road pass for the beaches and spent way more time airing down and airing up our tires every time we entered and exited a ramp. We got lazy\wise to the fact that this truck is a beast and just kept it aired up and had no problems whatsoever. Got some great shots of it as far south as we could go on Okracoke beach without taking a 2nd ferry. Great time. Next trip is to a somewhat local offroad park on Feb. 26th for their Off-roading 101 class.
@@PNW_Bison Haha, I hear ya. Can't wait to put my daily driver through some more "enthusiastic" outings. My recovery gear is ready, though it is low-tech with a come along. Winch setups with the new 2021 fascia on the front are....interesting. Thinking of going with the AEV front receiver and utilizing a cradle winch set up so I can use it on the front and back.
Loving the ZR-2 Bison videos. OVERLANDDIY I bought my diesel 2020 ZR-2 Bison back in Oct of 2019. Since then I have been planning an overland trip with mu son. (My Samurai that I usually use for camping is more of a 1 person setup.)This year he turned 5. So the trip is on for this late spring. We will be going down the Oregon, Idaho border, stopping at all the silver mines and ghost towns along the way. Sleeping arrangements will be handled by my Topper EZ-lift set up. I can't wait to get out there after all these years of planning. Joining us will be my good friend Mark in his 2017 Dodge Rebel. Keep up the great videos! My boy and I do enjoy watching them. This was a great video Jason and Chris I dont think there is a lot of DIY videos on this leveling kit. I don't have a Colorado but I just did my lift kit from Westcott Designs for my TRD Pro Tacoma and its a great feeling of accomplishment installing it yourself. So I can tell you guys were very excited. The thing that I learned was that for the FOX suspension, the springs are very thick and those spring compressors did not work for me so I had to get a different set. Sharing a tip that I learned as I was doing my lift was by adding a small piece of ducktape on the groove of the spring compressor clamp. That way it does not gouge your springs especially for me since mines were red (I actually made a small gouge before doing this). Westcott Designs also makes lift kits for the 4runner and I can vouch that quality is second to none. Hope you guys have fun out there adventuring the outdoors, as a subscriber from Florida I am very jealous of your mountain views haha.
Thanks for the advice! Yeah I have a lift planned for the 4Runner. Parts have been delayed for 2 months now, but I hope to share that experience this spring. I'm planning on a Eibach Stage 2 suspension with SPC upper control arms.
Nice! I’ve heard Eibach’s lift are amazing. Looking forward to see an install or update video. I haven’t upgrade my UCAs yet, so it’ll definitely me help out.
I greatly appreciate you informing us what torque specs to use. It’s so hard to find those online and I don’t want anything to fall apart or break from being too tight when I make repairs or upgrades.
Love all the #OverlandDIY video's. Best trip in my 2019 Colorado Z71 Trail Runner was doing the Trans New Jersey Trail. 453 miles from Cape May to Highpoint....and yes you can kinda overland in NJ. Lots of off-road trails in the Pine Barrens and it was great to be out camping and living out the truck.
Good morning Jason/Chris/Toby. I hope life has been treating everyone well. Next month I’m ordering my Victory4x4 roof rack God willing. Hopefully the month after I can level my truck.
#OVERLANDDIY I have a 2020 ZR2 Bison in satin steel metallic. I use the truck to get me out to the trail heads so I can hike, fish, or hunt. My favorite trip so far was taking it out to the Sangre De Cristo mountains in Northern New Mexico after a fresh snow fall. The ZR2 was amazing in the snow and did well with over a foot of snow on the trail.
#OVERLANDDIY I live in Western North Carolina. Last week it snowed 13"! Being the beast it is I was one of the only trucks on the road with no problem! I took off to Hurricane Creek an road up until.... I bottomed out in the snow on a lip down. I now know I need this leveling kit an tires to maximize the Bison off the road as well as on! I did get the truck dug out an easy able to have a blast back down the mountain. Also would love to have the panels for the gear an my EDC to make my Bison cooler an even more versatile while in the cab! Thanks guys great vid!
This is going to be my next install hopefully. #OVERLANDDIY Hitting up the sand dunes and trips out the Oregon State Forest are just a few of my favorite. The Bison loves those offroad trails.
Hmmm, favorite ZR2 trip would probably be Section 3 of the WABDR last fall. Moab in 2020 was a blast too. That trip opened my eyes to just how much these trucks can do. #overlanddiy
Great video guys- I’m probably 2 years out from this mod on my Bison (when I’ll need tires) but I’ll for sure be utilizing your instructions, so thanks in advance!
#OVERLANDDIY My favorite trip was the trip I took to my son’s college for Dad’s Day. I’ve only had my ZR2 a short time, but the drive to see him was very special to me. Plus, seeing him smile as he drove my truck around was neat. I see us taking more trips in the ZR2, but that first trip to see him at his college was very special to me. #OVERLANDDIY
I really like your channel. I like the fact that it’s two buddies working on their own trucks. It reminds me of myself working on my friend’s motorcycles. Great job, guys! #OVERLANDDIY
They are coming! Tons of 4Runner content planned. I'm just waiting on parts to show up. Next video (that's actually mostly recorded already) is a front camera install for the 4Runner.
Great documentation of the install along with your usual humor that makes it enjoyable to watch. Really love the episode that Jason drilled through your roof! Like you I had a Z71 and upgraded to a metallic green diesel ZR2 and enjoy driving it everywhere in all conditions here in Colorado.Best trip so far was trying to go across Montana from the Missouri Breaks area to Ft. Benton on dirt roads that ended up being cow paths... made it in one piece but it was memorable for sure. Didn't know MT had so many rattlesnakes! #OVERLANDDIY
I have a '21 Sand Dune Bison that I've only taken on just a few runs so far. So my favorite has been Stampede Pass here in WA. I'm super excited to do the WABRDR with some friends. I love my Bison and can't wait to do more to it. So far I just installed a winch and that's it. #coloradoDIY #overlandDIY
#OVERLANDDIY Thanks for the stellar content! I have been watching you for the last few months, and its been educational, and fun to watch. Keep up the awesome work! So far my favorite trip in my 2021 Colorado ZR2 has been to the grand canyon last fall. Me, my wife, and two kids drove from Sand Springs Oklahoma, to Flagstaff AZ. The total trip lasted 7 wonderful days. This was the second time for me, and the first-ever for my wife and kids. My wife and oldest son were in awe of the views. Will definitely be going back.
#OVERLANDDIY I just purchased my Colorado ZR2 this past weekend so I don’t have any favorite drives YET but I live here in Washington also and can’t wait to get up in those same mountains as you guys. Love the videos. Keep up the awesome how to/ DIY videos I’m learning a lot. Thanks.
Getting close to 2 years with my 2020 zr2. #OVERLANDDIY, I haven't done any heavy off-road since this is my first offroad vehicle, just small beginner stuff here in southern California.
Another Awesome Video guys! I just got my 2022 ZR2 Colorado two weeks ago and I'm starting my build on it, and your videos have been soo helpful! I cant wait to build the truck the way I want. I'm in Eastern NC, so I'm hoping to start getting out more on trips soon with some other overlanders! Thanks for all you guys do and keep up the good work! #OVERLANDIY
Great video! My wife drives a z71 Colorado that we've taken up into the mountains a lot. Our favorite trip was with some friends and we did Stampede Pass from Greenwater to 90 on that 100 degree week last year in Puget sound. It was fun to get out with friends and we swam in a glacial runoff lake at about 4000 ft to cool off. We'll take my 4runner and her Colorado back up this year as well. #OVERLANDDIY
#OVERLANDDIY Best trip I've had was a recent one. Went out this summer with some friends, two in broncos, an 82 bronco 2 with a 4.0 swap and a 21 bronco 2 door base. We went to the OHV park by Hoodoo. The friend in the new bronco has never been off-road in his life and had a blast let him do a couple of hill climbs at little Nash crater. I was the "recovery vehicle" bring in the bison lockers and actual recovery gear is kind of a game changer! Love the truck! Wife crashed it last month and ruined the front bumper. Now I have two new bumpers on the way! ;) Thanks insurance.
#OVERLANDDIY We just got back from ZR2 Bison Owners Group on FB snow wheeling trip to the trails here in St. Helen Michigan. We had four Bison show up and looking for more next time! thanks guys for great colorado content.
Thanks guys for the details! I just bought a front suspension level kit for my '18 black ZR2 so that I can keep up with the #OVERLANDDIY work like the 33's I'm putting on soon. Would love to have this for the interior upgrades! Keep up the awesome ZR2 vids. Thanks again!
#overlanddiy Favorite trip was to Alabama Hills, CA, two wranglers took an offshoot, a Taco came in sized up and aborted, took the Bison down, scratched my shock mount, so gave me an excuse to buy the skids. Great video guys!
I have a 2022 Zr2 bison exact same color as Chris. Just went to camping in Big Sur California and it was a blast !!! Chris has helped with the rago fab shocks skids plates. And so much more #overlanddiy
My favorite trip in my Colorado Bison has to be camping on the edge of the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Getting ready for my next trip with shock skids and add a leaf done so far but more #overlanddiy to come.
#OverlandDIY My best trip so far has been driving my new Bison home from the dealership it has been a struggle just to get it here, cannot wait to get it out and enjoy it like you guys have done with yours. Many mods to come shortly you guys have given me great inspiration for my new truck build.
Love the how to videos, keep em up! Added to the list of videos for future ZR2 goodies. For my favorite ZR2 trip, actually hasn't happened yet. My wife and I are expecting our first child this year and we are looking forward to sharing our love for getting outside and off grid with our future child, and the ZR2 will be the instrumental in doing just that. #OVERLANDDIY
#OVERLANDDIY What’s up guys thanks for these videos they are fun, informative and entertaining. My favourite trip in my ‘19 ZR2 has to be when I drove it from Vancouver, BC to SoCal and wheeled multiple great trails down there including Anza Borrego, Johnson Valley, Cleghorn and Truckhaven… ✌🏼Keep modding that Bison Chris!
I enjoyed watch you installing the lift kit. One question I have is a Colorado Z71 suspension, when I saw a picture on line it looks level already so does the truck need a 1inch level kit too level it or not? Enjoyed your video.
#OverlandDIY I have a 2020 Bison and my favorite trip so far was a trip from TX to CO. I was hunting but got to do some off-roading as well in Colorado. Thanks for the entertaining videos.
Haven’t taken a trip in my Colorado yet. Picked it up back in august of 2021. It’s a 2018 Colorado ZR2 with the 2.8 duramax. Would love the panels would be the first upgrade to mine. #OVERLANDDIY
#overlanddiy my first trip through Moab, Ouray, to Dinosaur National Monument and back to SLC. Literally one day after signing and picking up my ZR2 , 1300 miles while towing my Hive Trailer, it was awesome! I immediately sold my Tacoma after getting back, I liked the Diesel Colorado so much!
Quick question about this kit that you may know the answer to. I understand the arms in this kit are the same as a stock ZR2 and the only difference is the ball joint. If this is true, is the ball joint available from GM? If it ever needs to be replaced, which at some point it will, it would be nice to know if we can get just the ball joint. Thanks
My favorite trip so far has been to Malibu, I know it's pathetic but I just got my 2022 ZR2 a couple weeks ago. I have yet to make any mods but am excited to get started! #OVERLANDDIY
#OVERLANDDIY One of my favorite trips is Death Valley taking my rig through the back all around the park and finding beautiful camping spots I recommend taking a week to see everything
#OVERLANDDIY Fav trip in my Bison thus far is a 2-week family adventure/overland trip to my mom's house in Central FL from our place in Western PA. On the way there we travelled some of the TAT routes and then when in FL we rented a AirBnB on Caladesi Island 2 blocks from Clearwater Beach and spent 4 days and 3 nights just chillin' with the fam and my mom. Great time! Thanks for the opportunity with the giveaway and thanks for the awesome channel content!
@@PNW_Bison BTW I have a white 2019 that I had wrapped in nardo gray which looks very much like the your 2021 color option. Main driver behind doing the wrap was to protect the paint from scratching and pin-striping-but it looks rad too. 🙂(Would I do it again? No. Long story and off-topic.) I had replaced my fog lights with super bright amber LED "bulbs" and they are very bright and work great for me, but not quite as bright as your Baja Designs. Had you thought about the factory headlight switch from [I think] the Silverado that has the split fog and aux light buttons? I'd like to do that some day with either ditch lights or chase lights. I prefer installing ditch lights before chase lights, but prefer chase lights wired into a factory switch/system-seems more appropriate. Additional lights/accessories after that I'd like to have a aux fuse/relay panel that will someday allow for easy wiring of a portable solar battery as well. Anyways, thanks for any thoughts! I love your truck and your tasteful modifications.
#OVERLANDDIY I have a ZR2 but no crazy trips with it. It's been from Florida to Minnesota and all over in between mostly over the road some sand ,dirt ,snow nothing crazy. Really like this upgrade and video.
I take my 2017 LT into the Montana backwoods for fishing and hiking adventures with my wife! Has 3in lift and running 33"s Look forward to more diy videos! #OVERLANDDIY
#Overlanddiy We've had our Sand Dune Metallic Bison almost a year now and our favorite trip so far in it was to Moab where we spent 3 days hitting some trails and viewing the awesome sites. The Bison did great off road and was comfortable getting to Moab and bavk on the highway as well. I also did the GM level kit and my experience on the install mirrored yours, great video.
Really looking forward to this one. I just installed the add a leaf on the rear of my Bison and am considering this for the front. Any concerns with losing factory warranty on other front suspension components?
Yeah the instructions addressed this. They say it maintains factory warranty if they install it, but voids it if you do it. I’ll venture to say that if you follow the video and blog post you’ll be just fine.
@@JasonExplainsThings I am planning on doing this to my 2021 ZR2 (non-Bison) and have been waiting for this video. I have 6000 miles on mine and already had a front shock replaced under warranty (200 miles). I so want a clear answer from GM on this. I'd do it myself, but don't want to risk losing my extended (50,000 mile) warranty.
#overlanddiy Love watching the growth of this channel, and thanks for all great videos! My favorite trip in my ZR2 Colorado will be the drive from the dealership in Florida out to Denver, CO…just need Chevy to finish building my order!
@@aevnate4140 Thank you Nate. I have to ask if you are with AEV officially? If so, tell Brett in your warehouse he's a rock star, he helped me finish getting the rest of my full underbody AEV skid plate sets. Even that elusive Transmission Skid set for the V6 :)
#OVERLANDDIY Great video I plan on doing this to the BISON next month. Anything else you recommend to do in the area while its torn apart? So far my best trip has been to bald mountain shaver lake ca. I loved the snow but didn't like the dunes to much. Keep up the great videos
I thought about doing tie rod sleeves while I had it opened up, but I wasn't sold one the benefits vs. drawbacks. But it'd be something worth looking at.
Hi guys! Are there any issues with the CV axle angles after the level kit? What about the level kit voiding your warranty, even though it’s a GM part? Should I be worried about that? Thx for your help!
CV axles are still covered under warranty... at least at the local dealership in central Washington. But yes, the leveling kit (even though it's produced and sold by GM) voids the bumper to bumper warranty on the shocks themselves.
Thanks for the video. I’ve been looking into the Chevy Performance kit for my 2020 Bison. Just might pull the trigger after this. Thanks for the #OVERLANDDIY videos! Favorite trip thus far would probably be the North Rim of the Grand Canyon!
#OVERLANDDIY We love central and eastern Oregon for all the wide open deserts to explore! Utah is also our favorite place with so many different terrains!
#OVERLANDDIY favorite trip in my ZR2 was a road trip I did from Florida to Asheville NC, and from NC to Pigeon Forge TN. I want to do some modifications to my ZR2 but feel uneasy about cutting and trimming 😬
Great video! I have a 19 zr2 and I have been modding it throughout the years. Going to get a new set of uca soon so I’ll be referencing this video for sure. My favorite trip so far was when I went over imogene pass in Colorado. Anyways, looking forward to more content! #OVERLANDDIY
#overlanddiy Great video A cool trip we took the Bison on was a Shore to Shore mostly on trails from one side of Michigan to the other Keep up the Colorado videos!
Great video! There are some scenarios when off-road in the snow that I would like to go with 4-wheel chains. I noticed that my ZR2 doesn't work with chains on the front because the chains would rub against the swing arm. Did the leveling make front wheel chains viable?
#Overlanddiy. This leveling kit will be something I do very soon. As far as fun stuff to do in my Zr2, I bought it specifically to get to high mountain fishing lakes in the so west. Planning a trip to overland expo this year.
#overlanddiy Favorite trip in my Colorado was taking my family to Utah. Getting to see Zion and a few other places. That was in my V.1 Colorado 2wd, now in my V.2 Colorado it’s been just taking it out hitting trail near Los Angeles.
Thanks for the detailed instructions on the #OverlandDIY mods. I have the same colour Bison, a 2020 V6. Hauls our travel trailer well (gas mileage is atrocious tho). Hoping maybe to go to Moab this fall so maybe that'll be my favourite trip. Have you had a chance to feel the articulation difference off-road of the new control arms? Keep up the great vids.
Thanks for the excellent video instructions - I think even I can do it! #OVERLANDDIY I like loading up my 2017 Colorado and heading out to our camp on Lake Erie.
3 #overlanddyi I am loving my zr2. Peak coilover, 4;56 gears. Trifecta. 34x10.50/17 super swamper ltb on stock wheels no rubbing mostly. My daily tires are fallen wildpeak at3w 255/80r17 no rubbing at all. I like mud. Snow and rocks are just as good for me too.

Just got my truck yesterday. Can't stop looking at it. Can't wait until I get over the new truck syndrome so I can get it dirty.
Comment with the hashtag if you want to enter! :-) That's what the comment picker will look for.
To date my favorite trip on my ZR2 was to a small town called Jarbage Nv. Super cool trip. And thank you for the content guys. #overlanddiy
Great video guys- I’m probably 2 years out from this mod on my Bison (when I’ll need tires) but I’ll for sure be utilizing your instructions, so thanks in advance!
We'll be here, thanks for watching!
Dony bother. Complete waist of money
#OVERLANDDIY
My favorite trip was the trip I took to my son’s college for Dad’s Day. I’ve only had my ZR2 a short time, but the drive to see him was very special to me. Plus, seeing him smile as he drove my truck around was neat. I see us taking more trips in the ZR2, but that first trip to see him at his college was very special to me.
#OVERLANDDIY
Awesome story, thanks for sharing! Love that my truck is a way to share experiences with my kids too.
I really like your channel. I like the fact that it’s two buddies working on their own trucks. It reminds me of myself working on my friend’s motorcycles.
Great job, guys!
#OVERLANDDIY
Thank you! Motorcycle video next week… although that’s a solo project.
Thanks!
really impressive videos man! can tell you put a lot of work into them. looking forward to more 4runner vids in the future!
As someone who has run over a rattlesnake in MT, can confirm! Thanks for the Comment and kind words, appreciate it!
Sweet, full WABDR is on the 2022 mlbucket list. Cheers!
#OVERLANDDIY
Thanks for the stellar content!
Sounds awesome, will do!
I have a 2019 Zr2. You guys helped with the Prinsu roof rack and dif cover. #overlanddiy.
Awesome! Hopefully you didn't follow our instructions too closely. #holes
Thanks.
Wow man, thanks for the kind words, maybe we'll see you on those mountains!
#OVERLANDIY
Appreciate it buddy! ✌️
Ugh, anything to escape that heat, lol. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome man, love me some broncos. And glad to hear your truck will be on the mend soon!
#OVERLANDDIY We just got back from ZR2 Bison Owners Group on FB snow wheeling trip to the trails here in St. Helen Michigan. We had four Bison show up and looking for more next time! thanks guys for great colorado content.
Dang, that sounds amazing! Nice
Favorite trip on my 2016 coloRADo was driving to Wichita from Chicago during a snowstorm #OVERLANDDIY
#overlanddiy
Favorite trip was to Alabama Hills, CA, two wranglers took an offshoot, a Taco came in sized up and aborted, took the Bison down, scratched my shock mount, so gave me an excuse to buy the skids. Great video guys!
Haha awesome. Thanks for sharing
#OVERLANDDIY... I haven't got my Zr2 yet. It's on order from the manufacturer. I enjoy you videos and can't wait to watch more.
making me want a colorado even more now.
I have a 2022 Zr2 bison exact same color as Chris. Just
went to camping in Big Sur California and it was a
blast !!! Chris has helped with the rago fab shocks skids
plates. And so much more #overlanddiy
Love it man, thanks for the kind words. Always glad to help!
My favorite trip in my Colorado Bison has to be camping on the edge of the north rim of the Grand Canyon.
Getting ready for my next trip with shock skids and add a leaf done so far but more #overlanddiy to come.
#OverlandDIY
My best trip so far has been driving my new Bison home from the dealership it has been a struggle just to get it here, cannot wait to get it out and enjoy it like you guys have done with yours. Many mods to come shortly you guys have given me great inspiration for my new truck build.
Nicely done guys 👍😁
#overlanddiy just bought a new zr2 Colorado great video!
Nice!
Hey congrats, that's awesome!
#OVERLANDDIY great install! Took my Bison up to VT this year from GA. Going again in June! Keep up the great content.
Great video on installing the leveling kit. #OVERLANDDIY
Thank you!
#OVERLANDDIY
What’s up guys thanks for these videos they are fun, informative and entertaining.
You know it! 👊 That sounds like an epic trip!
Nice, good luck!
That sounds incredible, haven't been in that area since I was a kid. Maybe soon...
Thanks
I’d check out the side by side shot in the video. If I remember correctly they are slightly different.
If that arm is different is the ball joint? At some point it will need changed and can it be purchased?
My favorite trip so far has been to Malibu, I know it's pathetic but I just got my 2022 ZR2 a couple weeks ago. I have yet to make any mods but am excited to get started! #OVERLANDDIY
Very good instructional video and entertaining as well. Very curious as to what size tires you're running with there.
Stock 31’s but 33’s very soon.
Thanks a ton for doing this video. My only complaint is that the install took considerably longer than your 15min vid. Lol
I was able to use an offset box wrench on those inner nuts for the upper control arms. It fit way better than a socket.
Nice. Yeah sockets don’t work there unless you remove the wheel well liner.
#OVERLANDDIY
One of my favorite trips is Death Valley taking my rig through the back all around the park and finding beautiful camping spots I recommend taking a week to see everything
Appreciate it, Derek, thanks! Sounds like a sweet trip.
Thanks Michael, appreciate it!
I wonder if this would be able to be used in Australian Colorado's
I take my 2017 LT into the Montana backwoods for fishing and hiking adventures with my wife! Has 3in lift and running 33"s
Look forward to more diy videos!
#OVERLANDDIY
Awesome, man I miss Montana.
@@PNW_Bison Come back anytime!
Thanks so much, hoping to hit Moab this year as well!
#overlanddiy. Just got my Colorado Zr2 a week ago. About to go test it out this weekend!!
Nice job guys!
#overlanddiy
Love watching the growth of this channel, and thanks for all great videos!
My favorite trip in my ZR2 Colorado will be the drive from the dealership in Florida out to Denver, CO…just need Chevy to finish building my order!
Awesome, hope you love it! We'll be here to give you plenty of ideas for it!
#OVERLANDDIY. I have a 2019 ZR2 and I’ve done the Georgia traverse trail. Lots of fun.
#OVERLANDDIY great video guys, as always!
Thanks!
#OVERLANDDIY Just got the my 2021 Z71 this last July and Hope to get it out to all our Beautiful Colorado back country camping and trails!
I'm too excited to wait and have to ask (maybe it's covered in the video), but should you add a front diff drop kit to go along with this?
Good question. They don’t cover or offer that on GM’s website so I’m guessing it’s fine.
The lift is only 1.25” to level out the truck. See you at 5!
@@JasonExplainsThings Thanks for the reply Sir, I'll see your video soon enough :) Thanks for the great content.
With just one inch to level the truck the CV shafts are still almost parallel to the ground. If you were going a 6" lift a diff drop would be needed.
#overlanddiy. Really just love taking my Colorado out with my dog and exploring new places.
Dogs are the best co-pilots, right Jason/Toby?
The right way to level a truck is to put a load on that square thing in the back! It's a truck made for carrying weight in the back.
Just started working on my 2020 Colorado. Rear bumper, bedliner, working on the front bumper next, then look at a leveling kit #OVERLANDDIY
Thanks for the video. I’ve been looking into the Chevy Performance kit for my 2020 Bison. Just might pull the trigger after this. Thanks for the #OVERLANDDIY videos!
Favorite trip thus far would probably be the North Rim of the Grand Canyon!
#OVERLANDDIY
We love central and eastern Oregon for all the wide open deserts to explore! Utah is also our favorite place with so many different terrains!
Hoping to get down to Florence soon!
Already subscribed AND I own a 2020 ZR2 Bison… my favorite trip this far was a weekend trip to Windrock. I am #OVERLANDDIY
Windrock looks amazing, enjoy!
#OVERLANDDIY favorite trip in my ZR2 was a road trip I did from Florida to Asheville NC, and from NC to Pigeon Forge TN.
I want to do some modifications to my ZR2 but feel uneasy about cutting and trimming 😬
That's fair, but it grows on you after awhile, lol
#overlanddiy. Loved road tripping & camping this past year up the Oregon and Washington coast in my 2018 Colorado.
West coast, best coast! #changemymind 😉
Nice Imogene pass is bucket list for me.
Me too! If we make it there this year I'll be very happy.
#overlanddiy
Great video
A cool trip we took the Bison on was a Shore to Shore mostly on trails from one side of Michigan to the other Keep up the Colorado videos!
Will do, thanks!
Great video! There are some scenarios when off-road in the snow that I would like to go with 4-wheel chains. I noticed that my ZR2 doesn't work with chains on the front because the chains would rub against the swing arm. Did the leveling make front wheel chains viable?
Even with this, tolerances are still too close for me personally to feel comfortable using chains.
#Overlanddiy. This leveling kit will be something I do very soon. As far as fun stuff to do in my Zr2, I bought it specifically to get to high mountain fishing lakes in the so west. Planning a trip to overland expo this year.
Sweet! We're planning on going to Overland Expo PNW this year. Hit us up if that's where youre headed!
#overlanddiy
Favorite trip in my Colorado was taking my family to Utah.
No! This winters really hashed my groove. I need to go wheeling... Soon.
Hands down favorite trip with the ZR2 is Moab and Arches National Park. #OVERLANDDIY
Gotta get down there soon.
The coil spacer didnt add any extra lift just stiffness of the spring?
I've been looking to get those molle panels for my Bison! #OVERLANDDIY my favorite trip has been in Bastrop Texas park so far.
Thanks for the excellent video instructions - I think even I can do it! #OVERLANDDIY I like loading up my 2017 Colorado and heading out to our camp on Lake Erie.

#overlanddyi I am loving my zr2.
Nice! Truck sounds awesome
did you also upgrade the half shafts that gm recommends to do with the kit?
Does the installation of this kit have any warranty restrictions or affect the factory warranty?
What size tires do you have on?
Just did this install, and Deaver springs in the rear, Thanks for the video 👍
At the time they were stock. He's running 315/70/17's now. There's a video about it on the channel as well.
#OVERLANDDIY so far best trip has been a hunting trip to CO. San Juan National Forest.
Nice!
I just watch these videos to see Chris and Jason giggling on camera.
Welp, definitely in the right place!
Just moved to Utah with mine! But Gunlock Springs in St George Utah is my favorite! #overlanddiy
Gonna have to look that one up, thanks!
@@PNW_Bison there is another one that goes from St George down to the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. Can’t wait to try that!
