Headlights On 2001 F150 Lariat Changed To LED's

The incandescent headlight bulbs are now 20+ years old and the housings had become very hazy. Did the polish thing to clear the housings, which improved the brightness but the real game changer was upgrading to LED lamps. My old truck now illuminates more like having aircraft landing lights. The change-out is pretty strait forward but a little tricky putting the housings back into place...watch and see.

Will the LED with a halogen reflector have the correct light pattern? Will you blind oncoming drivers?

If you remove the headlight first, the side light comes out without a struggle.
Also, you can then squrt some WD40, or some other slippery goop, on that part you broke off.
Hat-Tip for your perseverance. I'm 80, and sometimes the obvious also alludes me......

Never had to take the side light or the screw off the cowl for doing my 2000 F150. When putting back in, make sure you lube the pins for future removal.

The two black pull bars are all you have to lift to remove the headlight housing itself. Turn signal is unnecessary to remove.
