Kool video!!.. I just did this on my 01 Lightning before I seen this video. On the dome light, I took the plastic part off(holds the metal heat protectors). It made it easier to move the led bulbs around & they locked into place without using pliers. Figured I'd share info with you. 😄. Also.. i did the same thing with my door light bulb.. lol.. i just took the door panel off/loose. I couldn't get the bulb out, even with gloves on. I m gonna change my cluster/instrument panel lights to led next. Luv these led's!
Thanks for sharing that! I did a video on how to remove the door panel also; looks like I am not the only one this happened too! I love the LEDs also, they are still looking great!
Good vid. I don't want to be "that guy" but the two reading lights next to the dome light, the diodes are supposed to face up toward the metal, not down. It's not just a heat shield, it's a parabolic reflector to concentrate the light into more of a beam pattern, instead of a splash pattern. Enjoyed the vid!
I would say in my opinion they are brighter, and I prefer the light color of LED over halogen. It gives that "luxury" sort of feel if you know what I mean. Also, they use much less energy than Halogen does, have a much longer lifespan, and they stay much much cooler. Did I mention they are cheap too? Haha, just get some and throw them in buddy, you will not be disappointed. Check out my video on installing LED reverse lights in my F150. They are WAY brighter than stock, and I get compliments on them all the time. Heres a link to that video. ruclips.net/video/p2v1KpgbLCM/видео.html Take care.
Yeah! I saw your reverse lights video right after this one. Must look awesome. Went on ebay and saw a bunch of choices. Which ones did you get? Are the reverse lights 25W each or combined? Right now they have up to 100W but that has to be BS. Thanks for the help!
Awesome! Yeah these are 25W a bulb, and they are still working flawlessly. I am not sure about the 100W, that sounds a little extreme to me haha. I would make sure you go with a CREE LED whatever you do. Good quality and not cheap, and will last you.
That's great you will like them. I got them on eBay pretty cheap. I got a cheaper set less than $5 for my S2000 to see how they work and they are almost brighter than these. You just cannot compete with LEDs the technology is better than halogen filaments.
K Reese, I'm sorry I wasn't specific. I meant, what size were the replacement lights? I believe, the factory f150 bulbs are 194. And since the replacement lights are LEDs, I didn't know if the number changed.
I do not recall the seller I purchased from but it was off of eBay. I just searched for led interior light kit Ford F150. They are still working great btw and everybody loves them haha. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for posting this! I could not figure out how to get a burned out map light out of my 2000 f150. You helped me a lot!
you are welcome!

Good choice
Thanks! Took me like 5 minutes to do it in my 2000 F150!
Glad I could help ya out!
Those silver metal covers Also serve as Light Reflectors for the bulbs the same as headlights do. They are not just heat shields.
@@DaihatsuMiraWalk-Through yes I could see how they could add some reflection that's good to know.
SMD stands for surface mount device, it's a package type for components
the leds used in the fabrication of these lights use smd type leds
Yes that is true. SMD is also used to abbreviate surface mounted diode. Thanks for watching.
Bruh I tried taking off the door lights and I pushed the light inside and now it’s behind the door panel
I did the same thing, but I have a video on how to remove the door panel so look it up!
Kevin Reese thanks !
Hey K, are the bed lights a big improvement over the halogen? They're pretty bright stock. In the bulb the same for the reverse lights? Thanks

K Reese thanks for the help man! Will do
I have a 2001 super crew and I cannot figure out how to replace the rear dome lights. Any ideas???
Are you having trouble getting the covers off?
Same here
You can pull down on one end and then it will pop out
I need to know how to get to the bulb itself? Already have the piece out.
Same!
Is there a link where I can buy those exact same ones?
I would just search led interior light kit for your vehicle, I'm sure there are different brands out nowadays.
looking into getting these for my 1999 F-150. Where did you happen to get these?
That's great you will like them. I got them on eBay pretty cheap. I got a cheaper set less than $5 for my S2000 to see how they work and they are almost brighter than these. You just cannot compete with LEDs the technology is better than halogen filaments.
Awesome! Thanks!
hey no problem. please like this video if you haven't already. take care.
How much do they cost?
They were less than $15 USD.
Same ya where to get the bulbs at ?
I got mine from eBay, just search "LED interior light kit" for whatever vehicle you want. You should have a bunch of different options to choose from.
Ok thanks
what it could be that my interior lights on my 1999 f150 its not working is there a fuse??
Kire Knyzals yes that is most likely a fuse. should be under your dash on drivers side.
Thanks
No problem.
What bulbs go on the rear brake lights and the licences plate??? you didn't show the bulb
Most of the bulbs that come in those kits can go anywhere and will work just try them out and see which ones you like best.
What size are the LEDs?
gus leal not sure what you mean. They are the replacements for the factory f150 bulbs.
K Reese, I'm sorry I wasn't specific. I meant, what size were the replacement lights? I believe, the factory f150 bulbs are 194. And since the replacement lights are LEDs, I didn't know if the number changed.
gus leal I am not sure the size. I searched f150 led interior light kit and made sure the kit fit my application.
where can I purchase these please sorry for being a pain lol
I do not recall the seller I purchased from but it was off of eBay. I just searched for led interior light kit Ford F150. They are still working great btw and everybody loves them haha. Thanks for watching!
