    I have the same camper and the same machine (bought it years ago at a Singer Warehouse in NJ). I've knit sweaters, afghans, fingerless mitts, socks and scarves at home, but will definitely take it with me on my future travels to Florida. Thanks for the video.

    What a treat to see such a sweet machine. Thank you for sharing and I hope you had a good time. I have camped with an LK150 for years and just love campknitting.

    Thank you so much for this video. I found the manual very confusing as to how to thread the carriage. You showed it very well. I do like using this cute little machine!

    Congratulations on taking the leap into retirement! This little Brother 341 is a very nice way to go mobile with your MK ... RV camping is the best (you have the best of both world)! Enjoy and thanks for all the wonderful videos!

    Hope you both have a wonderful time in Alabama. I have a Knitmaster MK70 which folds up and is very easy to carry about. I think I might take it with me next time we go away to Cornwall,which is a really beautiful part of the United Kingdom. The T.V series ‘Poldark’ is filmed there. Kindest regards

      I had one of those, and just loved it. I sold it to a friend who really wanted it, though. I do think the soft case this one has, and it's wonderful lightness, are a nice improvement. I wish it had a taller take-up spring for the carriage.

    does the machine accomodate punch card? Thanks in advance 😊

    • @dianaknits
      @dianaknits  Год назад +1

      No. It's a plastic bed, lightweight, portable machine. It has a built-in knitleader, does Intarsia rather well, but no punch card, and no lace carriage.

    It looks cool. I wonder if Brother were inspired by Knitmasters MK-70. I have that machine, it is really quirky and such a fun machine to use. I imagine, like the MK-70, this machine is pretty rare.

    • @dianaknits
      @dianaknits  4 года назад +2

      I sold my MK70 and I miss it. It is quite a fun novelty machine. This one is even more portable with the small, flat bag. These machines are rare, and sometimes I have a very weak moment and purchase a rare machine just because I'm fascinated. Now I am trying to NOT do that anymore - too many machines!

      @@dianaknits That’s a shame, it is a lovely little machine. I have too many machines too! I think I like the machines just as much as I do knitting on them! When I see a nice one or unusual, I just can’t help myself!

    Thanks to you I now own another machine, Diana :-). Since you put this video up I kept tabs on ebay in hopes that one of these rarities might show up. Last week I got lucky! It really is a great little machine and now I just have to learn using the knitleader! Could you perhaps show something on how to handle a half size one? I have your Knitleader for the basics.

    • @dianaknits

      Oh, good for you! You might try to get some of the basic Studio patterns. They sold quite a lot of half-sized Knit Radars over the years.

    So, is there no spongebar with this one?

  • @ulaB
    @ulaB 5 лет назад +3

    Wow, that is an impressive machine if you just know the big and heavy ones...

  • @misspotential

    Does this machine have any kind of sponge or sponge bar?

    • @dianaknits
      @dianaknits  Год назад +1

      Yes, I can feel that there's one in there. It is in three sections, one for each of the foldout ends and one for the middle. There is no slot for sliding it out, and it appears necessary to disassemble some of the bed to replace it.

  • @Buildlifebeautiful

    Does this machine have a sponge bar?

    • @dianaknits
      @dianaknits  5 месяцев назад

      Probably, but I don't recall. I sold the machine to a friend who really wanted one. It's just an interesting machine! Anyway, it might have a foam rubber strip without a plastic or metal ase for the sponge. Most plastic machines have that.

    Do you know if this was introduced to rival the Knitmaster MK70 or was it made before that, so vise versa.

    • @dianaknits
      @dianaknits  4 года назад +1

      I do not know the year of production. I have owned both machines. The MK70 has an 18-stitch punch card, and the 341 is non-patterning. The 341 is more portable. It is also a good intarsia machine and has a built-in knitleader. They are very different features.

    • @NumaticVacuum
      @NumaticVacuum 4 года назад

      Diana Sullivan Oh of course, I forgot it had a punchcard mechanism.
      I imagine the Brother KH341 was out around the same time as the LK100/140/150. Then again, it is a different needle spacing so a totally different option anyway, think it was probably just a league of its own.

    I am a beginner how can I set up my lace carriage on brother kh 881

    • @siowat7911
      @siowat7911 5 лет назад

      no need to set it up. You just run it across the bed and it transfers stitches. Then following the punchcard (or electronic display) you knit two rows with the k carriage, when indicated, by the red arrows.
      The k carriage does all the knitting.

    Please someone tell me where I can buy a knit machine? Why is this difficult?

    • @dianaknits
      @dianaknits  5 лет назад

      They are not difficult to buy. You can buy them new or used. I am not a dealer, but if you go to my blog, diananatters.blogspot.com, I have a lot of articles about getting started and you can also email me so we can explore what sort of machine you would like. I am NOT a dealer, but a machine knitting teacher, and I can help you find something that will suit you and will work well.
