The reason i dont think there is footage is beacsue the gane was located at a carnival/fair and jot really a stadium. It wasnt meant to be a big advertised game
I agree. The NBA of old was not the NBA of today. There was still segregation going on. So, in context, he was the biggest star then, but it was amongst those who participated in the integrated game. Also, baseball was THE PASTIME OF AMERICA for many years. So, to have a video recording of a random game that many didn't care about would be highly unlikely. However, there was radio broadcasting that we could hear. That means there was a form of recording, but not video.
One statistician that night was a legendary figure in basketball. His credibility was second to none and it was not just one statistician either, even back then, they have multiple people that tracks stats all game.
@@HoopNukeExactly, if players like embiid, kobe, or luka can score 70 while averaging 30, why couldn't he score 100 while averaging 50. And not every game was being recorded. There's first person accounts too.
It’s players that said he did it and I don’t see anyone making up stories for the black dude especially in the 60s like 12 years before this if I’m not mistaken the league finally allowed black people in it
The hardest thing for me to believe is why wouldn't you be taping every one of Wilts games by that point? If he was as great in every day life as people say, why did no one care to record more? Just kinda strange to me.
That is also true, it's q bit weird they have full footage of the lowest scoring game from 1952, but not the highest scoring one, but TV was different back in the day 😂
Hmmm. I wounder Should we take our really expensive camera equipment to a town in no where Pennsylvania better know for its chocolate more than anything for a game that literally mean nothing or we dont do that and save the film for the championship. No wonder that have not footage, you wouldn't record some pick up game in the gym so why would they record some random game that had no playoff implications?
Bro they literally have full footage of NBAs lowest scoring game from the 1950s, like the score was 19-18, why would they record that and not a game from a guy who was apparently doing miracles on the court all season long 😂
Subscribe or I will scote 100 points on you (not really I suck at basketball)

Hmm interesting, it's weird that a regular season NBA game where the biggest star in the league was playing in wasn't recorded at all

@@HoopNukebetter research on the history of the league homie. It was a different time back then.

nba2k1952 went crazy though
Bruh 💀
2k and 1952 shouldnt be on the same sentence
Bro they didn't know he was gonna score 100
He averaged 50 what do you mean, he was breaking records every game

Man aint no got damn conspiracy the man scored a 100 pts stop it damn

To say it’s a conspiracy with all the records wilt holds in the nba is just ridiculous no reason to fake a 100pt game
Just ask the ppl that also played in the game

Yea same, like there is soo much footage from back in the day of full games, but almost nothing from his legendary preformances
Different world than what it is now. Remember that during that time, the NBA wasn’t what it is now.

Find Jordans first gam....right you can't prove me wrong
There is footage of it lol, not that hard to find a game from 1984
Never happened.
Hmmm. I wounder

So the radio play by play doesn't exist now?
Yea!
Nope, no archive of that either, which I guess is more normal for radio
@HoopNuke let's fight then bi+ch! I'm on one this morning and I'm sick of lame ass people like you that never hoop, always got something to say!
Look for the scoring card
I mean sure but people could say that those are easily faked, it's just a piece of paper after all
