Automatic transmission layout and operations

Automatic transmission layout consists of three main parts: the torque converter, planetary gears, and clutches. The transmission uses a single concentric shaft with a set of gears inside and around each other in a planetary arrangement including a sun gear. The planetary gear set functions by changing the rate of input to output gear speeds through the engagement of one gear to another. The geared transmission consists of three sets of constant-mesh helical planetary gears in series. The fluid flywheel cushions the impact of automatic gear shifting and reduces the engine’s torque reactions.

I thought I was on a path to master car system but transmission internal work components are marvel and as challenging as engine system especially the layout of automatic transmission
