Isn't it just like people to not be content to leave the happy-to-be-reclusive Orangs alone? So... add a Gibbon! Who will pluck and prod at them playfully... at least in their minds anyway. I'm not so sure that being on the receiving ends of the prodding is as much fun!
Actually, if you read into it, Orangs and Gibbons are commonly grouped together. It's also pretty common for an Orang and Gibbon to become best friends, look into it and you will find plenty of examples here on RUclips. On top of that, it actually stimulates the animals to have another species around. Another common pairing for Orangutans is Otters, they too can become a friendly companion but they can also get on the Orangs nerves. However, giving the Orangs something like a troublesome Otter can actually be quite beneficial as it keeps them busy throughout the day and stimulates their highly inteligent minds.

今は特定動物に指定されて新規では家庭では飼えないみたいですが、既に飼ってる人なら継続して飼えるみたいですが、かなり防音が効いた家ならこんな風に鳴いても近所に聞こえないんでしょうかね
朝寝てる時に動画みたいな声出されたらびっくりしますね
オランウータンとゴリラってほんと平和的で賢い類人猿だよなあ
どうしてチンパンだけあんなに凶暴なんだろ？亜種のボノボは超平和的なのに
チンパンの他にもう一種、ヒトっていう凶暴な類人猿がいますね
穏やかなオランウータンゴリラボノボと凶暴なヒトチンパンジーって区分だと思います

この動物園、確か違うお猿が４種類位一緒になってたけど遊具がお猿好みなのか、ストレスがかかってる感じはしなくて活き活きしてたのが印象的。
オランウータン良くガラスのとこにいて子供たちに人気だったのに亡くなったとは残念です‥
