How To Play Foreplay/Long Time By Boston - Guitar Lesson - Tom Scholz

  • In this video I demonstrate how to play the song Foreplay/Long Time by the band Boston. Boston are one of my favorite bands and Tom Scholz is one of my biggest influences, so I wanted to share this song and guitar lesson on my channel in order to outline some of the amazing guitar parts that are on this tune. Tom Scholz was a fantastic writerr, produce and arranger as well as inventor. I used a Rockman Sustainor, Stereo chorus and echo on this track when recording the lesson. It really captures the feel and sound of Boston. Listening to Boston's music, especially the debut album, really makes it clear how great a band Boston was/is. Sonically I don't think any record/album holds up to it this day and it was released in 1976. I hope the lesson is helpful and you enjoy the video. Please subscribe!

Actually wearing a Boston tee now that I got around 2008 when I had the privlege of seeing them on the big terrace at the Biltmore Estate concert series...
