The return of raspberry as a flavor some time later with a different red dye didn't go over well so as a way of distancing themselves from the bad reputation of red raspberry candy having lead in it blue raspberry was rolled out. A few other colors tried but most failed. So blue raspberry is just raspberry and its blue because of a lead poisoning incident in the 50-60s. As a lover of all things raspberry, blue red or black I just wanted to inform you blue raspberry is just raspberry
