Why does it appear white? Is that just residue? And will you need to wipe it before priming? I have staircase in my new build that has surface rust and I need to get it done before painting.
I have a price question. We have been going since may of this year Mobile Blasting and we are non stop . I charge $400 hr for wood and log cabins, $350hr for brick and $300 hr for metal. Am I charging to little? Should I charge more? We are non stop and have jobs waiting so it makes me think my prices may be to low?
At them prices I'm thinking of moving out near you 😂 I cannot say what you as a company need to charge to cover over heads and pay a hourly rate your happy with. In the UK we cannot get anywhere near them prices so I would be more than happy infact I would be ready for retiring at the prices hope this helps. FYI blasting as a occupation in the UK don't pay as well as one would think hence it not been as popular in the UK as say the US. For the work and skill involved I can say I would get better rewarded in different trades. Just a shame I don't possess the skills to do another trade 😂
Infact 400 for 1 hour 😳 were you from? I really need to start and think about working away even a month or so would be enough for me and my family to live for a a year 😊
Why do you even have people spending all that money to train to be a doctor or law man or woman when you can earn all that with hardly any skill compared to a doctor
would you be able to explain all the gear you use one day, i see you grab out a orange looking cylinder just wondering what its for i have an idea its like something to do with air delivery ? ?
😏 nope its because my xl nosel is showing heavy usage and not 100% once a nosel bores its self out even by 0.5 of a mm I lose psi you can feel the difference if you put a new nosel on and swap them about even my medium noesl same bore feels like it has more power. I will do a video about it soon as nosels are the most important part of blasting
Your right less dust but more mess glass sweeps up and dont stain. Iron silicate leaves a sut like smear on the rest of the house. 👍 silicate also cuts faster on millscale but for the cost vs speed on the cut I believe its false economy and glass works out cheaper
I always find it is better to start them compressors with the air taps open, and quickly turn them off when it fires up. Easier on the starter and they fire straight away. Yours might work differently though.
I only following the the operator manual it says close all taps turn key give it 30 to 60 seconds for heat turn key to start pomission after start let the engine idea to operating temp then press the high pressure button unlocking engine revs slowly open taps I mostly forgot this step and just open the taps haha its only to make sure all pipes are on and secure. Operators manual shut down process close taps let the engine idel to cool down turn key to the off passion keeping all taps closed. I once had a issue and the unit was on full revs full pressure and the unit shut down depressing too fast too hot and the oil air separator collapsed. So it's important to let the unit cool and exhaust its own pressure don't dump the air after shutdown. Mine has 2 issues something to do with the cold start advanced derv switch it don't have glow plugs it has a heating element on the air intake and a derv advance bit like a auto choke for diesels also I think I have an issue with the wiring and relay for the starter 😬
Hi there I have sent you a what’s app. I am looking at getting my 2012 Volvo tractor unit shot blasted. I am nottingham based. Are you interested in doing this for us ?
Awsome job mick thanks
Thank you 😊 appreciate that 👌
Well done!😏
Thank you 😊
Nice one pal
Thanks appreciate it 😎👌👍

@paulgill7222 it's the colour of the steel and only prep needed now is blow it of and paint 👍
Thank you for the response. I was thinking about wire brushes and sanding but this looks ideal. Awesome job btw.

@@Mobileblaster I definitely appreciate the input. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't leaving any money on the table.
Check out the log cabin that we did on our RUclips channel. For that log cabin we got $400 an hour and it took two days so we pushed almost 10 K.
Looks great 👍 , white metal finish 🤔.
SA2.5 but I always try and deliver better 👍

It's a filter that makes compressor air breathable 👍
Was that nozzle used for more narrow pin point accuracy?

@@Mobileblaster i got a XL but not liking it too much... prefer my ninja pro
@@jdaspects We don't have the option of a nijia in the UK 🤔
On steel surface better to use Iron Silicate abrasive grade fine or medium ( less dust).

Nice, lucky it's under construction inside and beams don't have lead paint on them
It's not very common for lead paint in the UK don't get me wrong it's a thing but only really on old projects

I do same... open taps before starting
@@jdaspects some compressors have different starting procedures I just stick to the owner manual on mine 👌
Some joists need replacing
🤔 I didn't even notice the joists must be OK as the steels passed building regs. The next inspection was fire proofing.
no gloves? haha you're hard af
Sorry what? I'm not trying to prove anything to anyone
