I remember visiting a game shop with friends when the GBA came out. FZero was the first game we played on it and we were in awe at how amazingly futuristic the graphics were!
Step 1 - Clear your schedule for the rest of the day. Step 2 - Insert this cart into your Gamecube's GBA adapter. (You don't have one? Get one.) Step 3 - There is no Step 3.
Brings back memories. I remember back in the days playing it with a friend. We used to try to beat lap records as much as possible. And many times, when we thought we reached the limit we were able to go even further with our best lap times. Simply put - amamzing game.
Pump the accelerator to get around tight bends at speed! Man, I remember this game at the GBA launch. The music and sound were a thing of beauty. Hard as hell, too - just how it should be!
I remember renting this game when the GBA first came out! It was a cool game and all but I was terrible at playing it and always got that "YOU LOST" screen with the creepy music playing pretty much stopping me from playing an F-ZERO game for a while.
This was such a great game, tons of replay value, and continuous unlockables if you have the skill to make it through the hardest difficulty settings on all cups. Lots of memories with this game, it was one of the first GBA games I bought!
god damn. time flies. i got this like 11-12 years ago...when i got my original fuschia gba. such good memories. this was a difficult game at higher levels makes me wanna buy it again! great review.
i did the very same thing only back in 2001, with f-zero x on the n64, i was about 5 years old then. i have my most of my fun gaming memories with that game along with klonoa 2 luntea's veil on the ps2. i remember those memories and the games so vivid, that the are one of my favorite games of all time to this very day!
Someone really doesn't like to heal his car after passing the lap. That's what the green line is for Mark. HEAL YOUR CAR! You wouldn't be exploding so much if you did! Then again knowing you , you probably like the explosion part best ;)
I love the gba. It was so frickin durable. I dropped it over 5 times onto concrete and it still plays perfectly. The DS on the other hand... 3 times twice on carpet b4 it broke.
I'm glad that Mark still does some reviews by himself. The other guy's cool too, but Mark is a solo artist, lol. He's the Michael Jackson of youtube video game reviewers. Keep it up, and review more Saturn games!
@InecomCompany Mark, I couldn't tell if you were aware of this or not, but this F-Zero (and the others on the GBA) play a bit differently from the other F-Zero games (counting the SNES game). In the GBA games, you need to tap the accelerate button if you start sliding, as it straightens your vehicle. At the same time, you usually need to tap the same button a few times when making turns to prevent sliding into a wall.
Hey Mark try ridge racer unbounded, that game is fun with the race track creater. Just make sure to create a frag attack course to quickly gain experience points to unlock more cars and track mods.
The driving is a little different from the original F-Zero, and it took me a while to finally crack it. Your vehicle will drift if you hold down the gas pedal while making turns, you you'll want to let off the accelerator at just the right time. Once you get the timing down, the game plays great. I bought my cart for $3, which is a steal. The GBA SP is still an excellent system to own, thanks to Nintendo's classic racers.
I completed this game 100%, winning all races in all difficulties with all the vehicles and unlocking the super secret Jet Vermillion, which is fast, resillient and badass
It's true. Shame Climax didn't come out in the states, but the GBA is region free! My biggest problem with Maximum Velocity was the handling - the machines slide for quite a bit after changing direction, which feels really nasty, and lowering machine performance at low health has to be the worst feature ever. It would be brilliant otherwise, MV feels a ton more like the original F-Zero than Climax, but Climax has far better handling compared to this, even if it's not as nice as the SNES F-Zero.
Hey, how's it going? I'm a big fan of your reviews. Anyways, I know this is a review for F-Zero, but I wasn't sure of how else to send ya a message. I had a request. Would you be able to do a review for the game "Steel Battalion" for Xbox? The only reason I ask is because the only way to play the game is to use the 200-button game controller that came with it. I remember playing it at a buddy's house one day, and I was completely shocked by the size of the controller, which also included........
(continuation of previous comment)...3 foot pedals as well. Unfortunately, I don't have one of these epic controllers, otherwise I'd send ya one. If you could do a review, that'd be awesome!! Thanks either way.
For some reason Gameboy Advance games are a great deal harder to find than original Gameboy games were at the equlvilent point in time we are at with the GBA! I never see stacks of GBA games like I've seen with OG gameboy games! they are really hard to find
I prefer for GBA Fzero Climax, i like it's Boost system (more similar to FzeroGX and X). Bigger selection of tracks and ships. Plus a track designer! Too bad it''s import only. It is permanently attached to my DSlite!
Most of them have gotten rid of their GBA stock now. There are still a few though. The last one I found GBA games at they were selling them at 75% off, trying to get rid of them. I bought this F-Zero game there for 25 cents.
The first time i played a F-zero in my gba I lost over and over and over again every single fucking track... i never understood how to use my boost, and those enemies always crushed me. I hate this game xD
I can run this game on my psp using a game boy advance emulator. It surprisingly works really well. Its funny being able to play gba games on a psp lol.
I can't get through the Ice stage, I keep sliding away and I find the corners incredibly hard to make. Not only on the Ice stage but on every stage. It floats like hell and it isn't as tight as GX so that ticks me off! Got any tips?
Can't tell if Mark doesn't know that you can refill your shield bar or he's too hardcore
I highly recommend pressing select on the start screen to view the tutorial on how to airbrake and use the shoulder buttons for more than just boosts
I remember visiting a game shop with

he's horrible in this game but he definitely is good with his reviews. keep up the work
That "YOU LOST" music was the scariest thing for me as a child.
Just ordered this game the day before this was uploaded. Now i cant wait. F-Zero X was one of my favorite N64 games
Step 1 - Clear your schedule for the rest of the day.
Step 2 - Insert this cart into your Gamecube's GBA adapter.
(You don't have one? Get one.)
Step 3 - There is no Step 3.
so I don't play it?
@@CardboardOdyssey I was about to comment that lol
I never actually had F Zero, but once, at a hotel, they had some snes games built into the tv, and I chose F Zero and it blew my mind.
Brings back memories. I remember back in the days playing it with a friend. We used to try to beat lap records as much as possible. And many times, when we thought we reached the limit we were able to go even further with our best lap times. Simply put - amamzing game.
Unlocking Jet Vermilion by playing 256 times Synobazz (Championship) is like playing that 8 hours motegi race from gt4
Pump the accelerator to get around tight bends at speed! Man, I remember this game at the GBA launch. The music and sound were a thing of beauty. Hard as hell, too - just how it should be!
This is one of my favorite F-Zero titles. The other is F-Zero for Super Nintendo.
I remember renting this game when the GBA first came out! It was a cool game and all but I was terrible at playing it and always got that "YOU LOST" screen with the creepy music playing pretty much stopping me from playing an F-ZERO game for a while.
This game was my childhood
GP Legend is a excellent way to introduce newbies to F-Zero series. I'm now a F-Zero player thanks to this game! Yay!
This was such a great game, tons of replay value, and continuous unlockables if you have the skill to make it through the hardest difficulty settings on all cups. Lots of memories with this game, it was one of the first GBA games I bought!

great review.
Me to it was my first game I ever got on the gba:)

Got this and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 with my GBA before a vacation, it was awesome.
I found this game in a random box under my bed. It totally made my day
i died a little inside when i saw the $2.50 sticker on it this game is worth so much more
Great review! Love The Exchange sticker on the cartridge(I think that's what it is)
I love the gba. It was so frickin durable. I dropped it over 5 times onto concrete and it still plays perfectly. The DS on the other hand... 3 times twice on carpet b4 it broke.

fun game, one of the launch titles i got with my glacier GBA way back then
If you drive on the green after you finish a lap you regain power
Ha ha....those voice effects kill me every time.
for better turning:
push the accelerate button frequently in corners. no breaking needed
nice, a Soylent Green reference
Yes, sir. Best racing game ever made.
What no robots. I was led to believe that in the future there will be robots.
@InecomCompany

love this game, but i just realized that the music that showed up when you lost in the end sounds like music that would be in a metroid game
I liked so much this game for super NES that I had a band called F.zero :D
Hey Mark try ridge racer unbounded, that game is fun with the race track creater. Just make sure to create a frag attack course to quickly gain experience points to unlock more cars and track mods.
Sorry but you gotta do some training in this game
Only on the Master and Expert mode is it normal to die
Yeah! I have F-Zero Maximum Velocity for my Nintendo 3DS as the Ambassador game
The driving is a little different from the original F-Zero, and it took me a while to finally crack it. This F-Zero is the hardest so far for me. It's just Maximum Velocity is just so hard especially when you turn on fairly not so tight corners.
Maximum velocity Maximum difficulty
@@Sd46o Yeah! The tracks in Maximum Velocity are dope tho. That is the only great thing I could say about it.
I completed this game 100%, winning all races in all difficulties with all the vehicles and unlocking the super secret Jet Vermillion, which is fast, resillient and badass
i had F-Zero X for the N64 n i useto play it all the time
Mark you are awesome
I used to play the F-ZERO everyday back then.
Loved the hell out of this game. Almost had 100% completion before losing the cart >.>
It's true. Shame Climax didn't come out in the states, but the GBA is region free!

This game is hard! I don't think I ever beat the first cup... been trying for years and I love racing games.
The video ended with him winning at the end. That's unusual.
Max Velocity for sure! But they are both great games.
I got this game for 99 cents on amazon. It also made my day.
I know Derek reviewed F-Zero GX (back when his reviews were GOOD). But I'd like to know what Mark thinks of those games.
This has nothing on its sequel, F-Zero-GP Legend
For some reason, I thought you were going to say, "The explosions look great in 3D" :-P
@MrGateKing Aren't gba games not sold at gamestop anymore? I found a tetris axis games for the gba but it was like $20 and it was used tooo
Have this on my 3DS. Great racer.
I F-Zero for snes back in the 90s
i have f-zero on my 3DS.So awsome!
Tap the A button when turning instead of press and holding it.
Well I checked my game and I almost did every Master race, I even beat the CPU at the Championship race
(continuation of previous comment)...3 foot pedals as well. Unfortunately, I don't have one of these epic controllers, otherwise I'd send ya one. If you could do a review, that'd be awesome!! Thanks either way.
Following this review is risky, you never know when you might Crash and Explode.
You drive as faster as a Bugatti... Futuristic? Yes it was.
Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads.
This still looks pretty decent.
I had this game, good one
@Croxyndul Not confirmed. Moto said it could work. That was it. I doubt he'll make one.

Scrolled down to find someone to say that ^^
F-Zero GX, Marc. :-P That simple.
Does anyone wonder why Mark doesn't use the green to heal his vehicle?
he... he never blinks!
Most of them have gotten rid of their GBA stock now. There are still a few though. The last one I found GBA games at they were selling them at 75% off, trying to get rid of them. I bought this F-Zero game there for 25 cents.
Mark, if you use the green strip to heal, you'll almost never explode anymore...
I miss this show...
The first time i played a F-zero in my gba I lost over and over and over again every single fucking track... i never understood how to use my boost, and those enemies always crushed me. I hate this game xD
Totally just yelled that out loud. :)
watch out for the XG-BLAST !
Rumors have been told that they are making a new f-zero game for the wii U
This game is also available for the 3DS if you were part of the ambassador program.
I can run this game on my psp using a game boy advance emulator. It surprisingly works really well. Its funny being able to play gba games on a psp lol.
“A little visually bland”? I must disagree sir! It’s exactly what it should be for an old-school F-Zero game.
i have this on my 3ds, it's great.
I can't get through the Ice stage, I keep sliding away and I find the corners incredibly hard to make. Not only on the Ice stage but on every stage.
It floats like hell and it isn't as tight as GX so that ticks me off!
Got any tips?
it's the snes game on steroids in pocket size rather than a ps1-ish effort...never a bad thing
...mode seventy seven and a bit!!!
How come you don't use the green strips on the site of the tracks to re-gain health? You would explode as much if you powered up, lol!
I still got my copy. It`s alright. F-Zero X is still the best.
looks fun and almost looks like the snes one =D
FUck Yeah .... Finally ... nothing can beat Speed ... only if its more speed ..... or faster :D
I guess Classic Game Room didn't know about the 3DS Ambassador Program?
That's what I thought to when I started it, but then I realized it just takes some time to get used to the controls, really.
EFF ZEERRRUUUU
It's a lot more difficult to master than previous F-Zero games.
this is avalable on the 3ds as free download from the ambassador prgram
Haha i got this for free on the 3DS! good thing because i lost my cardridge a long time ago.
cool
Has Mark ever reviewed F-Zero GX yet? Or F-Zero X?
