I have no doubt that this guy is tough and has done a lot of training, but he is also a master of deception and does a very good job of adding that extra touch of mysticism to his persona. That rock he broke 9:00 was broken upon impact with the rock underneath since it was lifted a few centimeters before being struck. Play that part in slow motion and you will see.

    • @expo2727

@@expo2727 No, it's not as hard af to break it. You're basically pounding the rock on the surface beneath. Yes, it's not something everyone can do. My grandmother can't, but if you have a little makiwara training and martial arts background, you can certainly do it.

7:25 that kick was so impressive, I don't know martial arts so I can't comment on technique or form, but purely the fact that he was so confident in how effective it would be, he was happy to put everything into it , even if that meant him falling too. One guy got KO'd, the other just took a tumble. If that didn't work it would've been game over, but I feel like he KNEW it would work so went for it. Really, really impressive.

Thats called a stress knot. After they really get bad people start swinging there heads around trying to crack there neck. The proper treatment is to massage the long muscle on top of the shoulder and rear side of the neck the place where the three muscles attach in the Grove of the neck has to release to get rid of it. Its common in big guys or bodybuilding or people who swing axes and hammers. Its from lifting your shoulders as this guy does alot, proper mechanics tell you to keep your shoulders down but as you get older they create up on you once you develop a consistent stress knot it might never go away completely

It's a form of chi gong that leans more towards self defense, but highly involves the flow of force hence energy work (chi gong) . It's spiritual as it is highly effective in connection with the body mind heart soul as far as the defense style itself goes u would have to practice it & do it for a very long time to utilize it in real time combat situation compared to the other martial arts ,
Of Course It's Highly Encouaged For Everybody Ground Yourself Raise Your Awareness & Become Synchronized With The Energetic Flow Of Mother Gaia✝️

      Yeah.
If they do not stick together it is the mass of the stone effecting the break and not the blow with the hand, which only multiplies the weight of the stone.
I don't think there are many practitioners who can break such a stone without that gap in-between.
Such tricks shouldn't be shown, pretending they are not.

If only i was younger, i would be on a plane to china today. I hate regrets, but of course we always have them because we cant partake in everything in life. Time goes by very quickly and if we dont jump on opportunities and procrastinate, we miss out on wonderful things. Qigong to me is clearly an opportunity for a much much better life. But, again, dont put it off. Imagine how much better your life can be if you can control your inner power/emergy. That energy is their for every human, but so few of us actually use their qi in any way more than what our bodies do naturally. I strongly believd that there is an infinite number of possibilities for how we live our lives. Practicing qi gong allows us to explore one of those possibilities as deeply as we choose, but it requires some dedication and guidance from another human who has somehow discovered how to implement their own qi. Go for it. Its an opportunity to live a way better life.

If you want to learn Qigong (at the beginning level), you may be able to find a teacher at a local Yoga or Martial Arts club. Tai Chi is a form of Qigong that includes moving balancing of Yin/Yang. But, if you learn Tai Chi from Kempo or hard, external teachers, they may not be interested internal methods.

When breaking that rock I notice there was a gap between the bottom rock and the rock you were hitting. This means you just slam the rock you were hitting into the bottom rock which aided in the breaking of that rock! Break the same kind of rock again without lifting one side or no sides; leave the rock on a flat surface then you will convince me the you naturally broke that rock.

    Hey Eero and Samuli,
What is your take on how the slow fighting Qi exercises you are doing late on this video compare to some katas practiced in karate? This is very intriguing, maybe the kata has a similar function for real fighting karate? Makes me as a combat sports practisioner feel like ”how did I not see this?” when thinking of the potential benefits of this type of practice of recruiting and moving Qi around. Good stuff!

Well qigong forms are designed specifically to build and flow your qi to all of your body. Karate katas aren't. They are forms that mimick fighting moves. If you practice karate you should add qigong with your training.

。梁疯 thanks for clearing this up. I imagined you could apply the qi gong -style practice to a kata, eg. learn to flow qi in your fighting moves specifically (and perhaps train more generalistic qi gong form in addition). Nevertheless, I feel like I got a glimpse of understanding the power of qi gong training. Very intriguing.

Qi gong and variations of internal martial arts training is emerging more and more for some reason. It used to be secrets of the dynasties. The better the armies were, the more likely they would rule. Time didn't matter in the old days because there was overlap. Masters would teach the soldiers to be effective fighters. The difference back then was that the soldiers were focused only on being effective and deadly fighters. It wasn't a hobby like going to the gym. For some reason the old ways were diluted with less skilled practitioners and the real masters fled to monasteries with their best students who were the ones who were mist trusted and devoted. Masters became fussy so as nit to waste their time and to have the strongest fighters. If their students were the best fighters then the masters would get more affluent and sought after. Today the masters are harder to find because there are so many who say they are masters but are not at all. Because of things like RUclips, a lot of phonies have emerged in an effort to make money. Young Americans are easy to fool because they don't know what to look for. They see a guy in good shape throwing around chinese words and acting spiritual and they think the guy is great.I see so many who have no credentials. You ask who their teachers were and you get no answer. They only answer the comments that saynhowvgreatbthey are. They call themselves sifu or sensei or whatever. They learn a few techniques and people think they are amazing. This channel is the real deal. I am not sure if it's good to teach the old fighting styles to the world because there are so many who want it for bad reasons. I think it's better to have to show your dedication and motivation by having to travel far to convince a master to train you. More and more bad masters will emerge and it will become impossible to find a real one. I could be wrong.

This is a very simple trick.
In fact, he splits the stone against the bottom stone, lifting it a little bit before the strike. Anyone who knows this trick can do it without any special training, in five minutes after a short explanation

      @Vahvafitness  4 года назад +3

No. You will only hurt yourself. The master teaches the trick on his Instagram but you still need to have strong fists to do this safely. Depending on the stone of course.

When you are doing these moves do you flex the tendons and coordinate the flexing , the in and out movements with your breathing? For example I flex my tendon and as I bring the limb inwards i breathe in, when i push it out , i breathe out. I'm trying to understand the internal dynamics.
