How To Draw Fouls Like James Harden

- James Harden's ability to draw fouls is a skill. He scores over a third of his points at the free throw line, and has set a number of records at the line. Any player can develop this skill, though, just like any other! Check out how above.
Song: Dekonstruktionists x "Welcome Detroit"
Most people hate it, including me, but you can't argue that this isn't a skill. And Harden has perfected it. Led/been up there in the league in FTA for most of his career, and he's one of the most efficient scorers in league history by the numbers. It's awful to watch, but it's valuable and it leads to efficient scoring.
And the way the league is trending towards analytics/efficiency, this is not going to die down anytime soon. You already see a lot more players using his rip through 5 feet behind the three-point line for 3 FTs.
+Michael D. ..exactly..kAwhi did this to KD in their Game1 vs GSW last night. DeMar DeRozan too
Michael D. Harden is a genius
Harden is not an efficient player, and league history...what?
Michael D. Unless the NBA decides to make a James Harden rule
Awful to watch like you said..
You may not like it, so take it how you want... But it works!
Can you do a video on how to injure players like ZaZa Pachulia? I think its amazing how doing it once can turn a 25 point deficit into a victory.
By Any Means Basketball start breaking down highschool and college players, I'd love to see colin sexton broke down
Have you used the PJF training program?
whoever you are.....i want you to know you are doing a great job......keep going forward
no dude I don't want other people using this method I only want to do this method
What is commendable is your ability to see what most people overlook. Great job. Good luck ahead.
Everyone is seeing the same thing. It's only the way they're describing it that's different. Don't be ridiculous.
you wouldn't believe what he's become. kudos to real hardwork
I did it and I had 16 free throws attempts bruh In one game 😂😂😂
Belegendary 24 dammm dude Lol
Yeah that's the good part but how many went in
Lmao
Belegendary 24 yeahhh sure you did...
@@mzry_6322 oh yea cuz doing this is so HARD 😂
new idea for a video: how to injure players like zaza pachulia
xEmixalx Only if we get one for David Lee too. It sucks that Kawhi got hurt again, but it wasn't intentional. It was just bad luck.
Rip kawhi
xEmixalx Next video needs to be: How to let your team down when it matters (Shows clips of James Hardens routine playoff
meltdowns)
xEmixalx omg he for sure injured him in purpose!
Or Kicking nuts like Draymond
I don't know if it's just one guy behind this or a group of people, anyways all of your videos are exactly what a lot of people are looking for and they are incredibly well made
hats off to you sir
I remember seeing someone ask for this on the previous video and you actually did it in a short period. I respect that
“I am always hunting for foul” 🦆 James Harden, Game of Zones
I can't get over how good this channel is, I have nothing but respect for you guys
People will say this is cheap but I find it's a skill itself to be able to manipulate the rules in your favour. To be able to draw contact like he does and still have the body control to finish is a very difficult skill and I'm sure if everyone could do it they would because it's easy points and helps your team win... it's not Hardens fault he's taking advantage of a flawed rule set and I'm pretty they said the same think about dunking when it was banned
Exactly, the referees can only call what the referees see.
so pretty to watch, wow
Lol half the time he just throw the ball anyhow when getting fouled
A skill to manipulate the rules??? No its not a skill. Its called cheating dipshit
@@Dickcheese2011 it's not cheating
How to kick balls, like Draymond Green
Ft. Steven Adams as an example
Thank B. A. M. B this is exactly what I needed one step closer to beening Harden
Prolly the worst time for a Harden video right now lmaooo
Basketball genius. I have nothing but respect for this tactic
Damn, you do scouting for the Spurs? Everything you mentioned in this video was exactly what Pop instructed his players to avoid doing.
hooking defenders arms should be offensive fouls
It is, but for some reason, the refs allow him to get away with it...the fix is in...
As long as the ref didn't see it. It's not. It's smart yet dirty
You fucking idiots. He's hooking to show he's being fouled
Yeah even in the games I play in the refs call it a foul on defensive player when the offensive player does that
This man has mastered the metagame of basketball as frustrating as it can be to watch when he pulls his stunts on your team. Now with the rule changes I wonder what Harden will do next.
Great video man, keep up the great work. i love every video and this video was good as well especially for my game.
If you're a kid watching this, don't listen to this video. Refs will not give u these James harden calls lol
wadeshouse136 not completely true... being a superstar definitely helps, but using these techniques much more sparingly and intelligently will get any good player calls on occasion.
wadeshouse136 if u create contact they will call it, harden just happens to get superstar treatment with calls that aren't fouls
What if your like a superstar to your school
Harden has been drawing fouls since high school. So it works at all levels. You just have to have the skills and bball IQ to pull it off
I suggest the inverted euro and harden foul drawing to get fouls it works but you need to combine it into one move it works
Inverted euro and draws foul with your head and sell the body
Love when players foul harden at the 3 point line
FIBA interpretations (played pretty much anywhere outside the US) technically interpret hooking a defender's arms as shown in this video and offensive foul, as you are entering a legal defender's space and unfairly putting them at a disadvantage by creating contact. Most referees will be satisfied with a no-call, however, due to how much this also affects the shooter.
Could you please make a montage or compilation of James harden drawing fouls??? I feel like it could blow up in views because surprisingly I can't find any videos like that
It's crazy cause everybody complains about Harden doing this, but I hope they change their mind when they saw Popovich telling his players to keep their hands up
Here in Europe, half of these faults won't be called, since the regulation is pretty clear about these situations. If the arms are opened and still before the shooting action, the fault will not be counted as a shooting fault, just a regular fault. The referees over here are a pretty concern when a player is looking for contenders arms to draw faults. The defender arms must hit the attacking player while shooting, not the contrary. I hope NBA will do something on this matter for the shake of this show.
Respect the art 💯
Do a how to fadeaway\ how to land on a fadeaway , please
Uros Milasinovic SPD land on your feet not your face
+Kimbo Slice such humor
@@crackythepirate416 lol
His beard makes the head throw more apparent to the ref lol
Yeah I saw Kawaii using this yesterday to durant so by next year you're going to see alot of players frequently do this thx to my boy Harden
A. Villares Kawhi actually watched Harden tapes to learn how to get to the line.
been waiting for a video like this for years
I can't stop laughing after reading this😂
bro I can't even explain how much I love this channel. is there any way you can donate?
What about a How to effectively kick nuts like Draymond Green? 🤔
Simple but effectively moves
Is there a Gordon Hayward video in the works by any chance? Dude is finally starting to get the attention he deserves, and his game is so smooth and precise, I see so many things in his game that could be used as well.
James Harden can do it 10 times a game and doesn’t even get bored of himself
I did it too and had 10 freethrows bruhhh thank you!
goat
ill probably try it off the screens for three pointers
precise
Thanks for the flop tutorial
This channel so MF helpful 😭
If you say this is cheap I get you but this is a smart play and we’d all hate it if it happened to us but when we do it it’s great. And if you say he’s fouling no he’s not he’s taking advantage of the rules and defender to draw the foul
i love this channel so much
awesome video
Can you do a video specifically about attacking the ball screen and pick and roll
Someone please send this video to the NBA league office so the board of governors and referees can review these bogus types of plays. This is not fundamental basketball! It needs to stop rewarding shots to the offensive player when he is the one initiating it!
Eric Lee than tell the defenders to not reach in. There are all 100% fouls because they prevent Harden from going up
The defender is still the one committing the foul. Harden is just taking advantage of it by putting his body in a position to let the defender foul him instead of missing him. It might not be aethestically pleasing, but as Carmelo Anthony said, great scorers find unique ways to score
What about when hes literally hooking ppls arms when they didnt reach and giving a chance of injuring them
@@jarodhaws798 They did reach so he hooked their arms. The lesson is: "You reach, I teach".
@@ddddddddd378 You are on every video defending Harden and his irresponsible and dangerous practice of hooking players' arms. Braindead moron.
What's next, "How to flop like Marcus Smart?"
ADAJ3 Flopping gets you fines, drawing fouls gets you points. Stay Woke.
That's exactly what drawing fouls is, it's just flopping.
Edwin Francois not really
Edwin Francois since when is creating contact flopping ?
ADAJ3 or.. how to flop like LeBron James
In the Philippines, Harden is "magulang" which means that he is very strong and smart at the same time.
Nice
When James Harden draws a foul and gets an and one, I have the exact same signature move when he draws for a layup 😅
Thank you for the acting lesson xD
It works tho
thank you so much
I can't believe Rockets fans this past series actually accused KD for ruinning the NBA, when they have Harden on their team turning 48 minute games to 4 hours just by initiating contact and drawing meaningless fouls when his actual shots aren't going in
thanks man ima use it
what happened to those documentaries, did any of the kids get the div 1 scholarship? we deserve at least a reply
FIBA games also has similar drawing foul strategies.
Also be super star NBA franchise player. Luck getting these foul calls anywhere else.
Stewart Carrion there is definitely a lot of truth to that. But I've seen a number of good high schoolers get these calls after getting good at it.
do u enjoy watching him do this
I do
Yes I do
Hell yes I've been doing these tactics ever since the Lakers won the Bubble Championship and I love getting fans upset and annoyed at me for doing it 💯😂😂😂😂😂
Can you please do attention to detail: Stephen currys shot ps. I love your videos please start making them more often
Really good video.
Let's see a Paul Pierce video next!
See the video and learn how to draw
Олівець Малювець 😂
Can you do Jason Kidd, Jason Williams, Paul George, Chauncey Billups, Ben Simmons, Magic Johnson, Penny Hardaway, and Eric Bledsoe if you can? Thanks, big fan of your channel
Harden had real skills to draw foul but it’s so boring to watch. It’s still better than Trae ‘s and Luka’s
Attention to detail Tracy Mcgrady?
Can you do a video of how to protect the ball while driving
I think you should do one for Lou Williams
Don't ever tell me that someone getting their arm barely rubbed and accentuating and exaggerating it, is skill in basketball.
Somehow james harden was fouled by the video
Two free throws for harden
Subscribed!
does ankle injury hurt your game? how does your ankle injury mess your basketball career? like rose can't he just go to the hospital and cure it then play again like usual?
Attention detail: dennis smith jr
🙏🙏🙏🙏
How to CHOKE like James Harden next ?
They will call these fouls but won't call his travels. GO FIGURE
attention to detail: Tim Duncan
pls
Great video! Great channel!
Lol ur wrong about the 3 pointer one. He always does he’s signature through the legs move then steps back all on the right side of the court, but because he is left handed it means his left hand is closer to the defender which overall draws the foul a lot easier
How to fuck up the offense like Carmelo Anthony
That's why his the MVP
how about a kyrie basic crossover breakdown
i like ur videos
zach lavine next,pls
i would like to see lou williams on the same subject!
Aye man points are points🤷🏽♂️
Fair Chance
It'd be so damn annoying to play against this guy or anyone like him😂can't lie it is a skill being able to draw contact and sell it like that
This is the kind of style will never get the ring, ever!
You don't like nba basketball if you love this!!! -Sacramento Kings announcers.
You the GOAT
Now the issue is not bricking free throws
I guess this is one of the reasons why basketball hasn't and won't take off anywhere outside US. Its basically a non contact sport for excessively tall people
I did it here in the Philippines and the ref always calling me traveling
You think this would work for AAU Basketball?
Please do how to choke like James Harden in game 6 of playoffs round 2
PAUL GEORGE
BTW you never did loose ballhandler
More like how to take something as fun as basketball and make it a chore to watch/play
guys i have a question , im playing basketball in a low level and most of time defender hold his arm above ball while i was taking my steps and when i see their arm i hold the ball and swing my arms up to my shooting form and ofcourse my arms initates contact with their hands, the thing i am doing is true or i just letting them touch my arms and making the layup hard for me
Can you do how to defense in painted area?
Do a Paul George analysis.
