Going from 11's fully composed techno to SNES MMX's rock styled synth chips turned this song into an absolute hit akin to Mega Man GB II's title and final stage theme, Mega Man X2's intro and final stage theme, and talking to Dr. Cain when you found all of Zero's parts and found Dr. Doppler's fortress. It's like the song communicates that X and Zero and crew have cracked the codes, unveiled the mysteries, and cornered Sigma and his cronies, and are now on the move on double time. And man, this song puts the Rock in rock n roll. Fight, X and Zero! (and Axl) For the people of the future! For everlasting peace!!
This is exactly how I think the soundtrack, as much as I think it's already fantastic, should've sounded minus the 16-bitness. Would love to hear Impact Man's theme in the X soundfont, a lot of people can't really pull it off and make the drums as industrial-ish as they should be, but I know you can pull it off.
