This is a great video by one of the very best violinists of our generation. What an incredible insight into the artistry of terrifically beautiful violin playing.
I notice every note has a clear start. The bow contact is established at the very beginning of each stroke whether it is up bow or down bow so accurately. Thus enabling this whole idea of speed bow in the right hand and the two handed view of pressure of bow contact being an active freeing movement. Bringing the tone out of the instrument rather than pressing the sound.
