I think I owe all of you an apology - it's been _3_ _months_ since the last episode - and that's far too long. In my best attempt to make up for it, the video is a solid *40* minutes long and packed full of animated segments - so enjoy the extra-long episode! There have been some things going on in my life right now that have been severely slowing my progress on making episodes, if you just look at the recording date in the corner, it's honestly quite shocking. However, there is good news: This shouldn't last much longer! The things that are slowing me down right now are the very things that will hopefully turn this channel around next year - possibly even bring it to a near-fortnightly schedule!! For now though, enjoy the 40-minute video :)
Whatever you do is blessed and welcomed, especially when considering the fact that you're not getting paid for it but rather doing it on your free time for the sake of the community, which we can all be thankful for this and for your great efforts to make PowerShell accessible for all - thank you very much, you are a great teacher !
You're welcome! Still two episodes to go, Episode 10 has been written and recorded for at least half a year now! But I've been so busy with other stuff I just _can't_ get the time to finish editing yet, it'll happen at some point though rest assured!
Thank you so much for this series! You obviously put a lot of effort in each episode, and I really appreciate how you can teach us the fundamentals while keeping us busy with entertaining and practical problems. Can't wait to see the next episodes!
Thank you so much for the very informative and practice oriented PowerShell tutorial, this really helps. We are waiting for the rest of this series. Thanks Again!!
I've just finished the course, I just want to thank you for helping me to write my first scripts and also for motivating me to keep learning PowerShell and coding. I'm looking forward to seeing more episodes on this series, or even on another language (if I can choose I would say Python). Thanks again and all the best to you! cheersss
Hi! Do you plan on continuing this series at any point in the future? Maybe something more geared to Active Directory? You're teaching style is amazing and your lessons on PS are the best on RUclips by far. Thanks.
Hey! Yes, I absolutely do plan on finishing this series! I've come this far, it would be crazy to cancel it here, it's almost done! In fact, it just so happens progress on Episode 10 and the series is actually going to start ramping back up in a few weeks! Episode 10 was recorded and rough cut months ago; I've had a crazy few months so I haven't been able to get further than that with all the graphics and such, but in a few weeks a lot of that turbulence ends and I'll be able to get back to it! As for Active Directory, unfortunately the problem with that is I've never used it before since I'm not an IT admin myself, but the _hope_ is that by the end of the series you'll have enough knowledge of PS you can just use the documentation and "Get-Member" and all of that stuff to learn about the commands and discover all their features more or less as you go along!
Thank you for the great tutorial. The behavior of Export-Csv at 13:00 surprises me. I had assumed that $proc | ForEach {$_.ProcessName} | Export-Csv bad.csv would simply put the list of ProcessName into the csv.
Yeah, Export-Csv always writes the properties of the outer-most thing you give it. So if you give it a bunch of strings, yeah, it goes and writes the "Length" properties within each.
@@ABCo-ABMedia ins-allah, i will wait for that, i am currently at the video 3. downloaded the .csv file. your video is really good, i am learing 5 hour till now , still not bored at all, :) i have to make a routine and finish learning the course, thanks for making it. may allah bless u .
Hi! do you accept orders for money to create a plugin based on the customer's ideas for the Revit program? I think this will be an easy task for you. I can write by mail more precisely if you are interested!?
Man, you have a gift. Thank you for explaining how to use Select and the difference between using Select and ForEach. You are a hero sir
Hahaha thank you, happy to hear you think so.
Really enjoying your series on Powershell. Your presentation style is the best on YT.
Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it!

Just started following this series and noticed example links no longer work. Is there any chance it can be fixed? much appreciated.
Sorry about that - fixed now!!

you are amazing
is it the last part ? or we will get more videos
There's still about two parts to go of this series. But I'm afraid that for various reasons it may take a while.
