Al Pitrelli is the most underrated player Megadeth ever had. This solo is insane and I also dig his renditions of most all Friedman and Poland stuff. Al is the shit man!

Yeah Daniel Gonzalez, it is a great solo, I love it too, but man Killing road is so much better. It has such a different vibe. I love Marty Friedman. I don't understand however how you think this is better than Tornado of Souls. Tornado is one of the best metal solos ever written. It is just perfection. Only Dime is placed above all

That solo is in the style of Marty Friedman. Al Pitrelli is one sick ass guitar player.
Pretty sure it was "Originally Written By" ... Dave is good at "tossing bones" ... I'll write 75 - 90% ... then let you round off the rough edges.
Then he keeps the song and pays royalties. ... it's brilliant.

I love how low Pitrelli hangs his guitar. Also he doesn't even try to learn other guitarists' solos note for note but interprets them in his own way. He seems very confident in his own abilities and doesn't feel like he has to be "the new Marty Friednman" or w/e.

I'm probably on the unpopular side of thinking Chris Poland was a more unique guitarist than Marty. Marty for sure could diversify into almost any style at a thought. But Poland plays some insanity on the first 2 albums.

With Tornado of Souls one of the best solo of Megadeth, perfect in execution and perfectly integrate in the song. Al Pitrelli signed one of the best moments in Megadeth, like Marty Friedman did.
This was my favorite lineup of all Megadeth. Jimmy and Al were awesome!

This is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best songs from Megadeth. I remember I heard it for the first time in 2001 and it still blows me away. The solo by Al Pitrelli is insane, fantastic, with a unique feeling, and one of the best solos from Megadeth alongside Tornado of Souls. Al Pitrelli had a short but impactful stint.

My fave version of this song. And yes, Al kills it during the solo. And ya know, Jimmy is a great drummer. He did a great job. No Nick Menza or Gar Samuelson but he does a great job regardless.

I wish they're still playing this tune, it sounds great as opener.
The solo and riff behind it certainly reminiscent of Tornado. The first half of the songs sounds like Whole lotta roise + sweating bullets.
I miss Megadeth from 1985-2001, their performance had more balls! whether its bass solo, guitar duel, drum solo, all those jamming and stage banter... these days their concert looks like a formallty.
Most underrated song ever comes from Megadeth.

Al never got the credit he deserved in Megadeth IMO. Fantastic player, each note in his solos is just perfectly placed, Marty is awesome as well, but sometimes i feel like he just played a solo. Al work is simply unmistakable.

4:32 doesn't get much more cooler than that on guitar. Gibson Explorer down to his knees with the dangled bracelet , ripping a lick that is incredibly hard to duplicate with insane economy picking and melody. The whole band ripped this show!

I really liked this line up, too bad it just lasted 2 years. My favorite guitarrist from.Megadeth is Al Pitrelli, he was not the more technical but he played really cool and has his unique style, plus a lead player with an explorer guitar is badass!!!!
Yep, Marty isnt technical either but both him and Pitrelli knows how to write GREAT melodies.

Dave wrote nearly everything by himself. He wrote this. You’ll rarely see another band member with a writing credit on a Megadeth album. It’s almost all Dave.
I've seen videos where Dave would talk about the song writing process. He would tell the guitarist, whoever it was that week, to write a solo that fit the song and present it to the band at the next rehearsal
