Hi, needless to say, your photographs are exceptional. If you don't mind, I have a question. I am going to Rwanda next month and I am not a professional (I use Gopro and Micro Four Thirds Cameras), so I would like to carry as little equipment as possible. What focal length range or prime lense do you think would be most suitable to shoot the gorillas? Thank you in advance.
@@catalinpastiu6740 thank you so much! I shoot full frame, and solely used a 70-200mm f2.8 which I feel like is THE gorilla lens. The focal length is right in that sweet spot where you can capture environmental shots or portraits depending on where the gorillas are around you. And in dense jungle you need the ability to shoot lowlight, though the two groups that I happened to get were out in the open. For a Micro 4/3 system, I’d say if you can get anywhere between 25-100mm you’ll be set. And I’d highly suggest a zoom over a prime because you just don’t know what distance you’ll be working with given where you find your designated gorilla group, so flexibility is really important. Especially if they’re on the move like my first group was. Hope that helps!

Hi wondering what company you went through, thank you 😊
I went with Jambo Tours out of Kigali. They were a lovely tour company and I highly recommend them!
