    I love this!
I love that you kept the machine. If you were close enough for me to buy from I’d buy this no matter the condition of the machine. I’ll happily put the work in to fix the machine, always.

The sewing table turned out so cute! Love the color! I just inherited an old sewing machine cabinet and was looking for a video on how to refinish it, this was very helpful! Thank you for sharing!

The chalk paint I've used worked great. Years ago I used an acrylic Glidden product called Kitchen and Bath to paint a cabinet black and it did great. Everyone thought I had spray painted it as they could see no brush strokes and the woodgrain was still visible. Two secrets: 1) proper prep with degreasing using No Sand AND light sanding and 2) Only use an artist quality brush. I EXCLUSIVELY use only artist quality brushes for all furniture and any interior services. I even paint all trim with an artist gesso brush. Makes a huge difference.

I have done 2 pieces using Rethunk Junk. The desk had a plastic type coating on it. The table was just a cheap wood. I watched the "How to" 2 minute tutorials first. The Prep was easy to use and did prepare the items for the paint. The first coat is like the base coat with coverage being on the second and if needed, third coat. I did use the recommended top coat. I had no gritty feel on the paint. It was so successful for me I've just ordered more paint for a new project.

Is there a reason you didn’t use a primer?
