Nike hoodwinked us with the Kobe 8 halo release, it was limited like the rest that will be coming out in the near future
Great video and comparison, ngl though I have the 8s above both of them, I think the em 9s are super underrated as well but between the 5,6,8s and 9s as some of the best hoop shoes ever from the same line is crazy.
Great video. Love this comparison. This video is necessary. Since the protros came out, I’ve been thinking the same thing. 5 or 6? Aside from personal experience, also been watching reviews here on RUclips whenever new colorways come out.
Agree with you on everything. Both are all time great performers. It’s really hard to pick one but the 6 has a slight edge. The next time ill buy though, I’ll probably wait for resell prices to go down. That would be after a couple of colorway releases.
I remember shooting around in the Kobe 6 protro for the first time and thinking they feel good but I don’t get all the hype. I then played a few games in them and was like woahhh. What you’re saying about the crazy energy return is true! I can’t even explain it it’s just something you have to experience.

I prefer 5s. Fit is better for me and cushion set up is more to my liking. One of my biggest sneaker regrets though is getting rid of my 6 all star protros because I needed aome extra cash. Still have the grinches and del sols though. Nice vid!
I have 10 pares of Kobe 5s from blackouts to Bruce lees they all get grippier and more squeaky if you put water on the bottom before u play I know it sounds weird but it works
I got the Kobe 5 undefeateds , they feel like a perfect fit on foot unlike any other hoop shoe i have had (Flo tro 1 / Curry 1,2,8,9 / KD 14,15 / PG1 / MB02) they just feel on a different level and i wish i could have hit on the 6s today
Cant decide what size to get the 5s in. I’m 12 in the 6s but with no room to size down, im worried the 5’s will be a bit more snug

DG, shoe squeaking means that the shoe is sliding. (Scientifically speaking rubber to court contact) For reference, the LeBron 16 traction makes no sound and it doesn't slide at all.

I got 6’s & 8’s and overall performance I have to give it to Kobe 8. For fit tho the Kobe 8’s are a little narrow but the Kobe 6’s are the best fitting hoop shoe I’ve ever played in. Overall I love both of them

I remember playing in the original 5s and 6s. 6s are more comfortable with a bounce/spring. 5s are also great, but my knees prefer the 6s. 😂
