The best biking routes and out of Uppsala! Vattholmavägen will be of lots of interest for tourits seeing as it has a separate bike route next to the road and takes you from Gamla Upsala to Vallsgärde and Fullerö Backar

The history of the university and Gustavianum, the Castle and of course Håga Högen .... Uppsala is such a rich city historicaly speaking, it's really hard to pick just one or even four or five or ten places. The amount of events that's taken place here, the people who's lived and worked - who's left their mark or had their lives forever changed in this, though 4:th largest in Sweden, relatively small city, is almost overwhelming. Just take a walk along the graveled pathways of the old cemetary and you'd be amazed by what, or whom, you'll find. And that's not accounting for those who's eternally asleep under the cathedral's stone laid floor.

Sorry, but I have to disappoint many scholars, even the most educated ones. Firstly, the ancient peoples of "Goths" have nothing to do with Germanic Scandinavians they were SLAVS and their original name was GETI, modern DNA analysis proves this very well, archeology and there is even a preserved song writted by Ovidus between 9 AD -18AD while he was exiled in Tomis (present Constanta, Romania) amog Ghetts-Dachians, the song was written in Latin alphabet in LOCAL DACHIAN-GHETTIC LANGUAGE AND IT WAS PURE SLAVIC LANGUAGE closest to SERBIAN, (I still understand it). They were the same as other Slavic peoples, often called Trachians, Mesi, Sarmatians, Dachians...Namely, all these names are given to Slavs by Greeks this is why they are distorted. GEA in Greek means Earth, GETI are people bound to Earth, farmers, as they lived on fertile Danube they were farmers. In Serbian Gedza is a phrase for a famer, this is why Greeks used this name. Geti were a TRACHIAN PEOPLE THEY LIVED IN PRESENT ROMANIA, SERBIA AND BULGARIA THOSE WHO LIVED IN ROMAN PROVINCE OF MESIA WERE CALLED MESI, THOSE IN DACHIA DACHIANS. IN ROME THERE IS A MONUMENT OF DACHIAN WARRIOR BULIT AFTER ROMAN CONQUEST OF DACHIA IN 2. CENTURY AD THAT HAS SERBIAN COAT OF ARMS (4 S) ON HIS SHIELD. Later Latin speakers used name Gotti instead of old one Getti for the same people. "Ghotic" history is based on a forged document so called Jordanes Getica, which was probably made centuries later based on a lost book by Cassiodorus. Jordanes ( originally JORDAN) was a SLAVIC GHET born in MESIA WHERE SLAVIC PEOPLES LIVED NOT SCANDINAVIANS. Jordanes or whoever wrote the book said that Geti or Goti (in English Goths) came from some island (Scandinavian) across the ocean (Baltic see) and landed to estruary of Vistula (Visla) river. They defeated Wandals (Wandals are not Germanic as official history says, but Slavic people SERBI=WENDI, in German SERBEN/SORBEN/WENDEN), and later they went to Black See! This untrue story was created actually centuries later to support GERMAN imperialist policy of expanding towards EAST=SLAVIC LANDS THEREFORE THEY STOLEN SLAVIC PAST IN ORDER TO SUPPORT THEIR POLITIC GOALS. Most of "Ghotic" kings have distorted Slavic names, namely the king FELIMER IS SLAVIC VELIMIR. Germans and Vatican were meticulously working on a theft of the Slavic past including other mighty nations. THE ENTIRE NORTHERN AND EASTERN GERMANY INCLUDING THE SOURCE OF DANUBE ALL ACROSS EASTERN AUSTRIA TO NORTHERN ITALLY WAS A SLAVIC LAND EVEN IN ROMAN ERA. THE ENTIRE LANDS TO THE CENTRAL AND EAST AND SOUTH EAST OF EUROPE AS WELL...BY THE TIME SERBS AND SLAVS IN THE BALTICS WERE MIXING WITH GERMANIC TRIBES THIS IS HOW SLAVIC GETI BECAME GERMANIC GOTI-GOTHS-GOTTEN. EVEN UP TO 12 CENTURY AD MANY SCANDINAVIAN ISLANDS AND PARTS OF DENMARK, SWEDEN, NORWAY AND ENTIRE NORTHERN GERMANIA WERE STILL SLAVIC!!! THE FAMOUS GOTHLAND WAS IN 12 AD STILL SERBIAN-SLAVIC LAND!!! SCANDINAVIANS WITH I1 HAPLOTYPE AND SERBIAN SLAVS WITH I2 HAPLOTYPE ARE IN FACT A DISTANT BROTHERS (WE ARE STILL THE TALLEST PEOPLE ON EARTH) BUT THE LAST TIME WHEN SCANDINAVIAN ANCESSTORS LIVED IN SOUTH EAST EUROPE WERE MILENIUMS AGO NOT IN ANCIENT NOR IN MEDIEVAL TIMES. SLAVIC PEOPLES BOTH WITH I2 AND R1A HAPLOTYPES STILL LIVE AMONG SCANDINAVIANS AND GERMANICS EVEN AMONG BRITISHMEN, THEY ARE JUST ASSIMILATED!!!
