  • Welcome to Part 2 of my exploration of Uppsala, Sweden. In this video, I'm going to walk you through three interesting things to see in the city: Gustavianum, an anatomical theatre; Güntherska, one of the most famous cafés in town; and The Linnaeus Garden, where botanist Carl Linnaeus lived and worked.
First up is Gustavianum-a beautiful neoclassical building that was built in 1625 and today houses the university museum (currently closed for renovation).
Next up is Güntherska-a classic café that has been around since the late 1800's. It's located right around the corner from the main square (Stora Torget), so it's easy to find. If you're looking for a place to grab coffee or tea while exploring the city center, this is definitely a good spot to check out!
Finally, we have The Linnaeus Garden-Sweden's first botanical garden and home base of Carl Linnaeus (the founder of modern taxonomy). The garden is reconstructed and maintained according to the ideas of the 18th century. An interesting place, indeed!

Ytterligare en perfekt presentation av Uppsala som Destination Uppsala bör inkludera om Gabriel tillåter det. Gabriel har verkligen hittat guldkornen i Uppsala.🤪

Riktigt, riktigt bra filmer du gjort kring Uppsala. Du är både humoristisk, charmig och fångar mycket av Uppsalas skönhet och sevärdheter! Stor eloge till initiativet!

Hej Gabriel, don't miss the famous teeth of "Peking man" in Evolutionsmuseet! Another gem inside Gustavianum is the world's first Celsius scale thermometer made by Anders Celsius. Rosenparken has a pump over legendary Saint Erik's spring which started when Erik's head rolled down from church stairs to there.

Love your content but have to object to what you said at 7:03. We're watching because we can't come for ourselves. 😭

Ok, visit the Gustavianum Museum and dont mention the permanent exhibition of the Valsgärde findings it is a mortal sin, this is one of the better things to see in Uppsala

Thanks for the comment and good point! I only show things that you can see and at the moment the building is completely empty so nothing to see or film, except the theatre.
Look out for a new episode once the museum opens again!
