I would like to apologise about something in this video. The objects underneath the wings are not bombs, and are infact fuel tanks that can be dropped off the plane when empty. This was kindly pointed out by @Model Minutes and I hope you can excuse me for this inaccuracy on this video! Also, come join my scale modelling discord server for free! - discord.gg/WZ7kpSk
@@joannawezyk9723 Indeed. The P51 can carry bombs. However, they can also carry extra fuel in 'drop tanks'. Once empty, these would drop off like bombs but without the TNT explosive
Really not a fan of these quickbuild kits. I think airfix would have done better to make snapfit model kits and not lego style ones. Edit: Those things under the wings are drop tanks, not bombs, that's why they look like that (and they look like quite a good representation of them)
Built the spitfire 1 a couple of years ago with my granddaughter, was ok looking. Only good thing I found is when your mrs knocks it to the floor dusting an it breaks, you can easily fix it unlike a propa model
Seems like a decent kit I've only got the Spitfire, Me BF190 and Challenger 2 both green and desert camo, and are not bad, does lack the detail, but hey, it does the job 👍 I wish Airfix quickkits did more military vehicles and tanks
Yes, completely agree. The kits don't have as much detail as I would like, but they are 5+ and they are like legos! They do the job and that's what matters at the end of the day :)
The kit comes with 38 parts. According to the Airfix website, the kit has a 24.2cm wingspan. I don't have the model in front of me right now, but I will post the link Airfix has on their website for the kit - uk.airfix.com/products/quickbuild-p-51d-mustang-j6016 When I get back I will make sure to check for you, thanks for commenting and watching!
You would be correct, yes. I mistakenly called the drop tanks 'bombs' in the video. I did correct myself in the pinned comment. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Those are bombs because the plane could carry bombs in ww2. Just search it up on the internet

Yeah zvezda has snap kits and they are not the best i can imagine how good airfix snap kits will be

I was actually surprised how good it looked.
Yeah, for a 5+ Airlego (Airfix Lego mash up lol), it's not bad at all
Looks way better than what the box shows.
Yes, it definitely does
I got the blue nose, i wish the wings were angled up a bit as they look off, but a nice kit all the same
Yes, definitely a nice kit but looks leave a little to be desired. Thanks for watching :)

Aren't those 'bombs' fuel tanks

Indeed they are, and I apologised for my mistakes in a comment in the section where you just posted this one 🙂. Thank you for watching the video!
