Fat Tires are great for rougher roads and terrain, it's hard to find them with rear suspension AND a sturdy rear rack for luggage but I see there's some coming out like Moar Bikes. I've been commuting on a 'Class 2 ' Hardtail Fat bike for the past 2 years. You need a mudguard set if riding a fat bike in most conditions. Those Bafang 750W motors are not necessarily waterproof and need extra sealing for winter and wet riding, they are, however, easy to take apart and service (clean, dry and lightly grease gears with red moly/white lithium) They're also factory tested to more than 750W if your battery and controller support it. Mines done over 7000 Miles now
HIGHLY AGREE- In less than two seconds, first time ever seeing Moar Bikes in this video caught my eye. As the head tech for Honda Motorcycle for many years, that rear suspension link type came out designed similar by Honda in 78'. It was called Pro-Link then. Quite complex cantilever design. Thank you so much showing the working e control! I've watched so many videos on this sweet little Schwinn bike and you were the first to show it on and active. Mine is coming in 6 days. Sept 2023.
I hit 38.5 mph in my Kepler a couple of days ago during a test on a straight away. That's carrying me/221lbs & a 8lb chain lock. 52V 20ah 1000w/2000w peak Bafang Hub Motor. $1,799 including a free large & very sturdy rear rack with a 77 lb capacity, a value of $149.
Did you buy one yet? I weigh the same and bought a cliensy mx350 off Amazon for pretty cheap. It says it’s a max weight of 330 lbs. I will say I wish I went with a more cruiser like model where I’m sitting up more straight, it’s just not as comfortable leaning forward when you’re big. Other than that I’m surprised at how well it works for me, the 350w is just enough power to make it a good exercise bike where I need to pedal up hills and stuff but flat ground gets me up to 25mph easily which is faster than I can pedal. I also bought an oversized bikeroo seat which made a big difference as well as a 20ah battery that gives me more range than I care to ride in a day, overall really glad I bought one even though I was hesitant given my weight. Also the stock pedals are garbage even for a light person, I broke mine almost immediately and bought some aluminum ones. Everything also needs to be tightened well, the pedal crank bolt easily loosens, so I used some lock tight, I’d recommend that for anyone bigger as we’re putting more strain on the crank which loosens it, and once it loosens if you keep pedaling it will strip out and ruin the crank. Another thing I did was use a high quality rear shock I had from an older bike and that made a big difference as well, the stock shock is just a heavy spring with like an inch of travel and no dampening, with the better shock it’s very smooth.
I’d like to see a video that’s more budget minded, these are all way out of my price range, even if I did have the money there’s just so many options for less.

That would do nicely ! (And there's 80 Nm of torque)

But.. Neither did the Ariel Rider Kepler. The bike that is better than the Magicycle for less money 😁. But The Kepler just came out after this video was aired I think.
I have the Hemingway step through cruiser. And have always wanted this particular model. I would love to take it for a test spin. I am in the Henderson area. If that is available I would really enjoy test driving that. It is my thought for my number to bike.
Henderson Area? What State? I have a Hemingway Escape step-through. Out of all the ebikes I have tested it by far has the most comfortable seatl. It's also the heaviest at around 97 lbs.
p.s. with fat punture prove tires like jaugarnaut. alfine archer and rolofe all have internal gear hubs with most with electri shift this with the gates belts make it a bulet proof system and a real alternative to cars and 18 speeds.make it unbeatable with iron gears as a high low geared mid drive motor.
Hello Matt M, thank you for watching! The first two are different with the second one being the founders edition the last one I believe is just the video starting over. I'll see about fixing the end of the video. Thanks for the feedback.
@@mindseyedesign Ah, then my bad, at least on the first 2. I guess the differences between them are not so apparent to me. But I can tell you took a ton of time on this list either way, so thanks 👍
Speed and distance. I routinely ride more than 40 miles in a day , often In heavy traffic. I need something to keep up with traffic speed. Electric bikes are so much cheaper to operate than gas. If you run out of energy, you can just peddle home. I want a bike that goes the distance to and from work and shopping destinations.
Sure wish you would show the bike you are talking about when you are talking about it instead of mixing different video than that which you are talking about.
Why put pedals on those powerful electric bikes? I think that there is no need for them. It is more weight for no reason. People will not use those electric bikes to do exercise because they are heavier than a normal bicycle. I would prefer a weightless bike to ride for exercise.
Actually a lot of people pedal their Ebike. Almost everyone I've seen. And I ride on pedal assist 3 on the 1st half of my ride home from my night job cause it's so far I feel the need to conserve energy.
Some ebikes like the juiced acrambler only go 20mph pure throttle (unless you upgrade the controller) and go 30 mph under padal assist, Eben though your ghost pedaling. That's a class 2 that's legal to ride in the bike lane, while others that go faster, like 30 mph, or have motors that are 1000 watts or more aren't road legal and have to be sold as "for offroad use only". That's also why some models won't go past 20 until you jail break it or unlock it. The pedals basically are a loophole for the companies to call it a bike and not a motorbike or motorcycle or pit bike etc like the Segway surron, they aren't allowed on the road as they are dirt bikes, BUT Segway does sell a peda adapter so you can attach a chain system and turn it into a bike and look more legal.
The avg ebike rider travels 480 miles per gallon of gasoline, the avg regular bicycle rider travels 270 miles on a gallon of gas , walking avg 55 mpg, and avg cars 17-30 mpg...... Not everybody has an e bike just to exercise, please keep in mind those estimates of miles per gallon that I gave our base on almost every possible Factor including what it cost to produce the food to get the food and every other process so that you can digest it including cooking it and eventually outputting it on a bicycle even with an e-bike that's how energy efficient it is, that being said if you want to consider the exercise part yes it is actually very efficient and it simplifies the exercise aspect for people who aren't prepared or trained or don't actually have a lot of motor skills so it helps people develop them depending on how you use the pedal assistance system... Not only ebikes are heavy.... That'll depend and also on many factors which could be slopes up hills downhill and what kind of condition the person or the rider is, etc. Because I have what seems to be a heavy ebike but in fact it actually isn't that heavy sometimes I actually pedal it for like 5 MI without relying on the battery and I actually have two baskets one in the front one in the back and they are carrying food half of time and an average I'm caring about 10 20 lbs of baggage not just the food but also tools in case I got to repair anything and I can cuddle that baby like a charm without the pedal assist or without the electricity or battery while everything is actually on it including the battery in mind you I have like seven or eight power Banks different sizes that are also adding weight so I'm probably lugging around like 50 additional pounds besides myself.... And the highest I've actually gotten the pedal assist while working is probably at lvl 3 I'm pedaling 70% of the time and I don't really rely that much on the battery, just because I'm focused on working cuz I do UberEATS on bikes but when I'm just going to exercise with it... I put it on pedal assist one or two.... And if I need to make an appointment on time and or if I got a quota timewise to meet with a delivery or if I'm trying to go to an area to pick up better deliveries as soon as possible I then actually use pedal assist four or five.... But other than that I rarely use it but that's just me, I'm in excellent shape for whatever I put my mind to, everybody has their own purpose or reason or method of applying things in should be good that everybody has their own formula for whatever they individually like to apply it to
I really need to inform new e bikers or first time buyers. Kits vs Factory are both fine but,,,, price is ranged from parts , motor, ect so many affordable ones usually Kits but takes time and tech savy mind. You want to use or buy e bike with a dual shock carbon steel frame. Front forks the most important shocks for front Direct Drive Front motor wheel but it is extremely important to use or have dual shocks. The difference is amazing because 1 shock frames of just front forks will irritate your back shoulder neck area as the speed beyond normal pedaling when riding over dips, bumps, cracks, sidewalk edge lifts, ect you will know what I'm talking about after using on daily basis. Dual shocks are the way to go because the suspension takes that shoulder neck load away. Those 1 shock bikes gives you back sore neck headache of longer rides. Please comment if you know this effect of 2 over 1 shock.
Alot of fat tire bikes comes with front shocks only , so simple just change the seat that has shock absorb. As for carbon it's nice but it's not a must and most bikes aren't carbon , plus it cost more.
@@Angel-AbC9 nice reply. Yes, the spring mounted seat is the coolest device for bumpy terrain. It is the 30mph and up e bike buildings as every rider is different of the various methods of build, ride, ect. Jus a bit too much rasttling and roughing on back side on my 350 gear watt front fork shock e bike I have as my other 1500watt build was based on my 350 watt performance I build off of. It is jus Night and Day of that feeling as the dual shock is like a Mercedes Benz if you happen to ever driven in one you can relate to this. Ride safe and have you and your bike be in 1 piece. And nice tip on the spring seat. I have many too.
@@ronpagala7496 Yes, of my 1500watt build off of looking st my factory made 350 front fork shock gear motor I looked at them Euro Bike frames. Too expensive for me but I used a same frame build on a Next Power Climber and notice these type of frames are likely the best preferred frame to use. Cheap and you can still find many of them through sites. It is the only type of frame I will use of any future builds. Yeah, the neck shoulder area is a killer once that head ache comes thru. Constant stretching.
900 bucks , yes it will work and get you to destination, but rest assure its slower , can't go as far , won't be as comfortable , and so on . I know this because I have a 1400 dollar bike which is great but couldn't keep up , from scooters and skate board riders and delivery guys all zooming past me wasn't fun , so I bought magicycle discounted 1500 and it beats them all in all categories and I'm smiling big time.
I love checking out other Ebikes for comparison. I don't think I've seen you mention the COSWHEEL range of bikes. I own a T20 kitted up to have that WWII British military look. I get a lot of comments from a good cross section of people, men, women, young and old. I hope to see your review in the future.
Hey there! Thanks for your comment. I actually stumbled upon a new project called the freebeat Morph 2-in-1 eBike. It's a pretty innovative eBike that offers both outdoor and indoor modes. One of the standout features is that it can be charged while you're using it indoors! Pretty cool, right? I haven't seen many eBikes with that feature before. The Morph eBike also has a powerful 750W motor, front suspension, and puncture-resistant tires, making it great for any terrain. Plus, it has fitness features that provide performance insights and keep you motivated. It's definitely worth checking out! Hope to see a review from you soon. Keep up the great content!
Code enforcement see the road as being the property of the state not the property of the residents who pay for those roads. Legal and Illegal don't mean jack diddly to US Code Enforcement. You're going to have to fight for your life once they get you in their clutches.
The Ristretto bike race mode is a little too dangerous. I would not recommend it for a teenager unless you want him/her to have brain damage for the rest of their life after an accident.
Waiting for 1500watt rear wheel hub kit with LCD8H amd 48V 40Ah battery with square batteries 2000+cycles(12kg). Hope it go very far. Fat bike with full suspension, will see it can hold power and braking and 50km/h 😂 Front fork moving a little bit in suspension😅
Okay why is it almost all e-bikes as they have been labeled, LOOK like dirt bikes that somebody has stuck bicycle pedals on. I did not see any e bicycles that are made to ride on the road everything is big fat tires that work for off-road riding, I don't know but I need to ride on the road to go back and forth to work. My job is not out in the middle of the Woods, I don't know of any workers that commute back and forth to work that their job is in the middle of the woods where they could use one of these Electric Dirt Bikes the commute back and forth to work. And on top of that if you try to use one of these things the commute back and forth to work you're never going to get to work on time because every cop that sees you is going to pull you over because it looks like a dirt bike. That's made for riding off-road especially since he does not see tags on it. And even if you do have tagged he's going to stop you to ask you for your registration and insurance card. Either way you're going to get to work late every day.
Lmao. You need to relax. None of what you said is accurate. I own one of those dirt bikes with pedals every day and I beat my car owning friends to wherever we go without getting pulled over by any cops. Stop projecting your grumpy attitude onto the world, it’s not reflective of everyone’s reality.
@@oscarmunoz92 It must be nice to live where you live, But here on the East Coast those things are illegal to ride on the road or on the sidewalk or on the shoulder of the road. Especially here in New Jersey, South Jersey especially. Have a wonderful day, And enjoy the freedom of living where there is more crime, So police have more to do than harass people riding dirt bikes. 🤔
Ebike for me would be something that don't look like a motorcycle, So motorcycle spec on an fat tire mountain bike look. I have shengmilo S600 48v 27.5amp dual 2000w hub motor But only achieve 28mph & I want 40mph So I am looking for an upgrade with something with 60v 30amp dual 4000w hub motor
I'm sick and tired of false range claims. The Ariel X-Class for example has a claimed 70-plus mile range. Yeah...perhaps if your traveling 10kms/hr, weigh around 110-150 lbs, pedal assisting all the way, with no wind resistance and going downhill you MAY achieve that claim. Even then it's highly doubtful. I weigh 151 lbs and have owned 3 different brands of ebikes so I speak from experience. There should be legal legislation which forces these ebike manufacturers to be more forthcoming and truthful about the stats they're publishing.
@@gogonxpuera4252 , I already own a motorcycle. I also have a mountain bike. Want I would like to do is convert the mountain bike to an e-bike so I can still pedal most of the time but also have the help available from the electric motor for the really steep and long up hill stretches. I think I would ride my mountain bike a lot more for exercise without the risk of over exertion, it would be the bike with the best of both worlds. ;-)
I might consider an ebike with cable disk BRAKES, but NO WAY would I consider an ebike that had cable "BREAKS"!!! Spelling IS IMPORTANT considering the fact that "Brake" has a completely different meaning than "Break" has!!! "Brake" is something to stop a moving object. "Break" means structural or mechanical FAILURE!!! Your video, with the inserted captions, says "The Fedox light has a 5.8 amb battery, 250 watt brushless geared motor, and a cable break." Why would I want a bike equipped with a device to intentionally break my brake cables???
All these companies are wasting time and money, if they are serious about selling ebikes, they should all have fat tires, batteries that guarantee 50 miles before recharge, and they all need to go at least 50 miles per hr. At the push of a button WITHOUT PEDDALING. And none should have rear hub motors because just to change a back tire would cost great time and money. Anything less than what I've listed for an ebike, you are wasting your time going into this business, and by the way, no ebike should sell for over $700.00, the company that makes an all electric bike that fits all this criteria, and advertises on TV, will out sell them all. Who but a granny wants a bike that only travels at 28 miles per hr.?
None of these bikes offer what I seek: highway speed, and touring range. If electric cars can go several hundred miles on a charge a bike should go a thousand. And 28 mph is not going to cut it. I'll stick with gasoline.

Dude u make no sense, it literally does not work like that. Meanwhile everyone and their mom is going electric. Have fun last couple years in your gas car, they won't be around much longer than maybe 10 years. Won't even be produced anymore😂😂
And u really think people get these to go just 28? It's an easy mod or settings in the display or new controller to up the speed at own risk regardless of the 28 limitations place on class 3 ebikes. So it's quite obvious you don't know what you're talking about. I have 2 mid to high end ebikes that "go 28mph"😂😂😂😂
Screw any bike that cost more then $5000 and thats too high... This video shows just how troubling on many levels, first there is too many bike companies, from how in a comsumer to choose to how are the companies to survive?!? Ebikes are blurring the line of biking...they are too damn fast...faster then pedeling without assist, are they to be doing 40 km/h in the bike path??? 'Tearing up the path' is exactly why ebikes are not allowed in many places...you are disturbing the environment more then a manual bike...

p.s. with fat punture prove tires like jaugarnaut. alfine archer and rolofe all have internal gear hubs with most with electri shift this with the gates belts make it a bulet proof system and a real alternative to cars and 18 speeds.make it unbeatable with iron gears as a high low geared mid drive motor.
Slight mistake the ride one up is only 48 volt not 78 volt
Hello Daniel Dougan, thanks for the feedback!
In Florida if an e-bike does not have pedals then you have to register it and get a motorcycle license if you want to ride it on a public road.
Hello Mark Messer, thank you for watching! Thanks for the info.
You have ristretto in this video at least 3 times, 2 towards the beginning and one near the end.
But I can tell you took a ton of time on this list either way, so thanks 👍
commuter bike would be most useful for me
Speed and distance.
Okay the drive shaft bike school but can you tell him to put it back on the market when it grows up into a big bike
It's better if it is a long range one even it is too slow
the best one is STROMER Ebik you miss that.
i think you didnt use that.
Sure wish you would show the bike you are talking about when you are talking about it instead of mixing different video than that which you are talking about.
I have no idea what you are talking about.
But other than that I rarely use it but that's just me, I'm in excellent shape for whatever I put my mind to, everybody has their own purpose or reason or method of applying things in should be good that everybody has their own formula for whatever they individually like to apply it to
Mayb bcos it's the law 💋👍
Wow, nobody in this comment stream is AT ALL completely infatuated with themselves!
Mine is already a dual shock but still irritates my shoulder and my butt.
@@ronpagala7496 you have a commuter bike or like lectric style bike
All well and good but too expensive for the average biker in this economy. My e-bike cost only $900 and works just fine for me.
900 bucks , yes it will work and get you to destination, but rest assure its slower , can't go as far , won't be as comfortable , and so on . I know this because I have a 1400 dollar bike which is great but couldn't keep up , from scooters and skate board riders and delivery guys all zooming past me wasn't fun , so I bought magicycle discounted 1500 and it beats them all in all categories and I'm smiling big time.
bikes ,,.......drt
I ordered the Himiway Escape in April and it is now August. 6 months and still no bike. Must not like Canadians.
A sleeper bike.
I love checking out other Ebikes for comparison. I don't think I've seen you mention the COSWHEEL range of bikes. I own a T20 kitted up to have that WWII British military look. I get a lot of comments from a good cross section of people, men, women, young and old. I hope to see your review in the future.
Hello Michael Manger, thank you for watching! We''ll keep that in mind.
Hello Anthony B., thank you for watching!
Oh my God I'm glad I got my bike for 800
I have the himiway zebra
Nice , I bought the magicycle and super happy I am

If it rains where you live, buying an ebike without front and rear fenders is foolish.
Çok güzelde almak imkansız olay parada değil hayat size güzel
Hello bilal koc, thank you for watching!
3 wheels with seat
sana may magbigay sakin ng bike na yan.
There should be legal legislation which forces these ebike manufacturers to be more forthcoming and truthful about the stats they're publishing.
ex won me over
why you need a motor on bicycle ?
Need? "Want" would be a more relevant question. ;-)
@@peteowens3033 I mean if you want to rest your legs while traveling you can use a motorbike 🤭
@@gogonxpuera4252 , I already own a motorcycle. I also have a mountain bike. Want I would like to do is convert the mountain bike to an e-bike so I can still pedal most of the time but also have the help available from the electric motor for the really steep and long up hill stretches. I think I would ride my mountain bike a lot more for exercise without the risk of over exertion, it would be the bike with the best of both worlds. ;-)
PS: Not really practical to rig up pedals on my 1300 cc Honda cruiser to do the same. 🙂
ROMET is the best
I might consider an ebike with cable disk BRAKES, but NO WAY would I consider an ebike that had cable "BREAKS"!!!
Spelling IS IMPORTANT considering the fact that "Brake" has a completely different meaning than "Break" has!!!
"Brake" is something to stop a moving object.
"Break" means structural or mechanical FAILURE!!!
Your video, with the inserted captions, says "The Fedox light has a 5.8 amb battery, 250 watt brushless geared motor, and a cable break."
Why would I want a bike equipped with a device to intentionally break my brake cables???
Not being rude but what about a damn bike somebody can actually afford
I agree
None of these bikes offer what I seek: highway speed, and touring range. If electric cars can go several hundred miles on a charge a bike should go a thousand. And 28 mph is not going to cut it. I'll stick with gasoline.
Thanks for watching Robert Houston, If you enjoyed this video check out our vehicle playlist next. 🔹 ruclips.net/p/PLJmAwjBwlfgLjxHIGWOM7Gc4dqzDtzv9w
Thanks for watching!
That makes zero sense, in a car you can essentially fill the entire body with a huge number of batteries, you can only carry so much on a bike
Throttle=emoped not ebike
RYNO
Checking out bikes right now hope to one soon
Thank you for all you do
Hope to get one soon
Lol
Expensive and crappy bikes!
