This is great! And also very sad to learn that you must have really broken car to force manufacturer to fix and update it. I am tired of waiting and saying 'bye' to my Enyaq in two months
As someone that is now in the market here in Norway for a new family EV, I've watched your channel with interest. So far we've tested the Enyaq 85 RS SUV, Kia EV6, Ioniq 5, Volvo EX40 (really the old XC40) and the Toyota Bz4x. The Skoda is probably the best allround family car of these. The Volvo has better seats, but is too inefficient and based on an obsolete platform. The Kia is a more sporty and engaging drive, but the seats are too short and uncomfortable for a 1.92m gent. The Ioniq 5 is an interesting choice, but the wife doesn't like the design, and it lacks a rearscreen wiper. The Toyota just feels in a lower league than either, but I suspect its longevity and dealer support might be the best. What causes me to hesitate with the Skoda is the commitment and competence when it comes to software, and the importer and dealerships for VAG does not have the best reputation here in Norway. The car itself seems very well rounded with all the qualities you need for an active family.
Nice One Mathias im so happy you got your car fixed. I have problems on the steeringwheel ( heating )and even as the dealer say it will come with ME 3.2 they wont update it :( but nice if they start dooing so :)
Congratulations on the update Matthias! You state you didn’t get it because of your channel, but I find that a bit hard to believe. You certainly will not mention that, but your dealer might have told the factory about it. Since you have put so much effort in getting the software improved, I think Skoda factory rewarded you with the update. And you deserve it! My Enyaq suffers from multiple software issues. Different ones than your Enyaq had though. With my next visit I’ll ask my dealership for a software update to fix them. One question though: Do you find 3.2 more stable and responsive?
More stable yes but not more responsive...it is as slow as the 3.0 . I cannot say anything about Skoda itself updating my car on purpose but the dealer told me nothing about a preferred treatment and even wanted to bill me the spare car for the 3 days
You are saying about handing car to workshop for 3 days as something bad? I mean, us with Octavias sometimes had to keep our cars in workshops for weeks before they managed to sort out SW problems. Thanks for the video, Matthias!
Hello. I have a First Edition Plus, and it's stuck on 3.0, no OTA updates. I'm not experiencing any problems either, but that extra info on the HUD sounds super nice, is there any way I can get the update done? Maybe with just the regular check-up service? Thank you
According to my dealer in Denmark my Enyaq has software 3.2 but it doesn't look like 3.2. this was caused be Skoda naming en early update 3.2 and now they cannot update to the actual 3.2. So I am sure in my case if they had to reinstall my software I would get the real 3.2. I am going to give it a go as I am again having TA issues
Thanks for the informative video with great descriptions. Do you by any chance know if 3.2 also fixes the (somehow known) issue regarding "Front ability assist is limited" ? -Kristian :)
If the software was personally tailored for your car, then why is it only 3.2? My guess is that hardware changes prevent a higher version. But what was changed with 3.3 or 3.4?
A few days after we left the dealer in our new (slightly used) Enyaq, the dealer send a mail, that they had discovered, that there was a factory update to the car, and possible a 12v battery, that needed to be exchanged. So late may, 2023, 1,5 month after we got the car, we had the update to vers 3.2. I can't remember how the vers 3.0 looked ...
Hmm you have way more apps than I do in a car that was 3.2 from day 1! Those new apps don't work on mine either....PS also - I have not yet got Powerpass in the My Skoda app - even though it is supposed to be there no - notified it's coming but not that I should update yet!
Still fighting as good as I can that all ENYAQ drivers will get updated to the latest version of 3.7 but tbh it is not a fair fight for me as Skoda simply quit fighting and walked away from the arena. At least I see it this way since they do not publish any information anymore...
I'll ask the dealer - my permanent problem with sunroof is really annoying, perhaps that can also be fixed by update... And I really want to fix the rear view mirrors - the skoda logo, that was displayed on the ground, turned now to mush :(
The logo in the mirrors is an ongoing topic for Skoda and they will exchange it. Maybe you get your dealer to make the update to see if sunroof will work better ;)
Is it? I checked the final video on my MacBook and it sounds okay. Will have at look at it in the next video and try with headphones instead built in speakers
So it's only now that you finally understand how complicated this whole thing is. That took you long enough. So you see how easy it is to make videos and cry over and over again and not know anything about how it all works for years. Well, it looks like at least ten people at the company are relieved.
If Skoda / CARIAD have made an unmaintainable platform, they should be held to account for that. "But it's hard to do" - for software they wrote for the car they built is just not an excuse.
From my perspective, I would not care how complicated it is. If they have to bring in a whole team of engineer's to my house, it's their problem. I would prefer it not being the case, and if I where to advice them before hand I would say don't build the car/system in a way that requires all this effort and resources to fix issues and fulfill your promises to the consumers. Because it really should not be this "complicated", as you state it. It's 2024. We had people on the moon in the 60's. From what I have picked up from Mathias' videos, this is his point to. Skoda sold the car with some half finished solutions and with promises of regular updates that would both fix issues and enhance the cars, but they have not lived up to this promise and does not communicate with their customers on this matter.
@@RicoD5believe me, 80% of customers don't bother with this software crap. you just live in your bubble and feel like it's the biggest problem in the world. if it was, this channel wouldn't have 14k followers. Just got an appointment ,for this update because of this bug. Worked for me. Great tip!
Thanks for your response. Great it worked for you :)

dont go the toyota way - one of the most critizied new EV's with a terrible battery performance
Our Enyaq went from 3.0 to 3.2 over the air. Built week 46 November 22

Id3 and id4 with 3.0 are already being updated to 3.2 as far as I know so I dont think they have to prepare a specific sw for each VIN.
Did you notice any changes in charging speed or range?

I can't tell you this because I did not have this problem so I simply don't know....I'm sorry :(
@@Speicherelektrisiert ok. But thank you for the respond :)
I think that issue is caused by damp / wet front sensors - they just need cleaning before you start driving in the morning
@@ianowen5098 thanks. Ill try that 😊

And I'll add. The information you say in the video from time 12:52 is not true.
I would be glad if Skoda proves me wrong but it is up to them to do so

If VWAG or CARAID made the software platform to complicated its their freaking problem.
