The game is already dated even if it does come out, I mean Jesus that was announced in 2007 lmao, Fallout New Vegas came out in like 2009 I'm pretty sure

I just found out about Everwild and now I learn it most probably won't ever launch. It looks amazing and it seems like the type of game I'd love. Between Good and Evil 2 should be a meme by now.

What do you mean by "so many extraction shooters" at 3:00 ? There is only 1 that should be called that since the death of TCF and that is tarkov. HS comes close to the genre but isn't a real extraction shooter having no loot mechanics in it.
this. i get annoyed every time i see a comment that claims there are too many extraction shooters. Lmao. ARC Raiders is about to be the first big extraction shooter on console ever. that’s going to be huge. As for other games, there’s tarkov and hunt basically. and that’s it. every other one you can think of is low-budget or dead. ARC Raiders is needed for this genre desperately
Plan 8 is still in development. It is just suspended for the time being. All teams were moved to finish Crimson Desert. Once complete Plan 8 will resume development. At least that is the plan right now. Crimson Desert will not release until next year, so who knows if that plan will stay in place.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 is basically dead. Mechanics developed for it were repurposed for Star Wars Outlaws.

You my boy math chief! but always will disagree with people not appreciating arc raiders going into pvpe and giving it more playability.
I feel like I've already seen most of these games already, a lot of these games have been done so many times they all look so similar. Especially the robot ones and the post apocalyptic ones, even the mix of the two, and those futuristic semi-realistic anime type games, they look like practically the same game. Don't even get me started on the fantasy open world genre either lmao, that one has been done over and over the most.
Then what do you want? A game set in the Stone Age? A game set Biblical Times? Ancient Egypt? Ancient Greece? Ancient Rome? Ancient China? Ancient India? Ancient Sub Sahara Africa? Aztec America? Inca America? WHAAAT??? Otherwise stop complaining.
@@SoBor911 Actually yeah cuz there ain't enough of those. When was the last time we got a RISE: Son of Rome type of game? Yes, I will keep complaining as long as I want.
@@sliceofpie9584 Ryse is such an outlier. Just about every game set in Ancient Rome is of the strategy type. It quite difficult to create a linear driven story featuring a Roman soldier. Far easier and more alluring to have a game where you command a Roman Legion. Then there are the following ::
Assassin's Creed Origins (Ancient Egypt)
Assassin's Creed Odyssey (Ancient Greece)
Immortals Fenyx Rising (Ancient Greece)
Rise of the Argonauts (Ancient Greece)
Assassin's Creed Valhalla (Vikings)
Prince of Persia games (name speaks for itself)
RE5 and Sniper Elite 3 (set in Africa)
Uncharted Lost Legacy (set in India)
China has been producing several of it's own open world action adventure RPG games lately using their Ancient Fantasy setting. That just leaves pre-colonial America, though there's a game (This Land is Mine) that features a Native American going up against American soldiers in the Old West. Games set in Biblical times are mostly the educational type, while there was a Far Cry game with a Stone Age setting.

This entire video was great, however, you really should have used either a screenshot of the movie poster or footage from the movie's trailer for the "A Quiet Place" game. I know it wasn't your intention, but it seems really unfair/mean/deceptive to use footage of a completely different game while talking about it. Unfair for the other game I mean.

It's in development hell. Mechanics for the game were repurposed for Star Wars Outlaws.
Pearl Abyss seems it has been overwhelmed with feature creep in Crimson Desert. Whenever that ends up releasing, we'll probably hear more on Plan 8 and DokeV.
Pivot to extraction shooter fro ARC klls all interest for me, but if they've got a success with competitive shooter with The Finals, it would make sense they want to stick with the formula.
Hopefulyl we get a new trailer for Project DT in the summer. A Steam page would be nice, too.
BG&E2 is something I don't understand how it hasn't been cancelled yet, to be honest. The feature creep ont hat one has been enormous, and the creative director behind it retired from the industry. Yet both his pet projects, this and WILD (remeber that PS3 exclusive?) were, apparently, still in-dev as of 2 years ago.
Project Awakening: see Pearl Abyss situation, but replace Crimson Desert with Granblue Fantasy Relink. Now that Relink is out, Cygames may show off Awakening a bit more. The 2 trailers they've shown off for the game were drastically different in tone (one is the knight one, and the other was a more traditional JRPG with anime aesthetics and multi-player, seemingly), and it's still unclear to me if they have the core concept nailed down or not. Last thing they teased was that new engine tech, but we don't really know much about setting, story, or even genre.
The „the last night“ dev made the point, that the game is about the devastating consequences of wokeness on free speech, culture and civilization as a whole. Seeing as the gaming industry has been a woke cesspool for years now, he was forced to publically apologize
Project DT looks like a Hollywood film with all those punches that hitnothing but air, missing the enemies

only to those who desperately wanted a pve game. Now, the game will have a new following of people who love the new genre. It’s over, get over it. The game will do fine, let’s let the gameplay speak for itself before judging it. we haven’t seen an ounce of actual gameplay yet publicly lol

Saber Interactive never released any footage for that game. Wait for the footage, and add it to some other horror-survival clips.
I was really excited for Arc Raiders, until I just now found out it's no longer PvE. Nobody want's another extraction shooter.
The Last Night looks amazing. Wikipedia says the developer got flak for being pro gamergate back in the day? With gamergate 2 going on, he'll probably make bank if he releases it now.
lots of people want an extraction shooter actually. aside from tarkov and hunt, what’s another high-quality extraction shooter you can name? there isn’t one. the genre has a huge load of fans and nothing to play. ARC is going to do fine. the backlash was overblown because the pve crowd happens to be super vocal apparently. There are tons of players who don’t even know to voice their opinion and defend the game since they were never following it in the first place because it wasn’t their genre. Also, let’s let the gameplay speak for itself. we legitimately haven’t seen a speck of actual gameplay publicly.
Ubisoft needs to concentrate on games not titled Assassin's Creed. For shits' sake! WTH happened to games like Rainbow Six Vegas II? You gave us Seige? Seige is ass by comparison.
People still seem to forget the major promises on what r6 was supposed to be. Blatantly did a switch up and lied to us from what they showed in their gameplay trailer.

@sliceofpie9584 ... and "Extraction?" Pffff ... haven't played so much as a demo. Suddenly Rainbow Six becomes a Sci-Fi? I have loved the RS series since the 1st Playstation and have played them all - even Siege for a month or so (couldn't get into it) - until they deliver another "Rainbow Six" experience, I'm don't with the series. It's trash.
Hopefully after the huge success of Helldivers 2 Embark might reconsider keeping Arc Raiders as the game we were originally promised. Fingers crossed.
