Thank you for the video! I am having a hard time deciding between the different ken models, and i was wondering which in your opinion delivers a more original l'arc tone, your van zandt fernandes or the fender custom shop one. Thanks a bunch!
Well, I love them both, but when I play "KK" (LA-85KK) it's almost always the stock humbucker. I kinda just put the Van Zandts in because I clearly can't leave anything alone (yesterday I scalloped frets 21-24 on my Ibanez RG, like a Vai). Honestly the Van Zandts have basically never been used because I don't know what Ken uses them for. LOL You see, I have always played the Ken guitars primarily in Rocksmith, for the L'Arc songs I've made (see my videos here on the channel) so if I'm playing anything before Ark and Ray, I play KK (which I love and have great sentimental attachment to...she's so pretty!). If I'm playing anything after, from Ark on, I use the Love Driver. The only exception is Driver's High, which needs 24 frets (and even then I use the humbucker) and some of the super crunchy stuff like Trick that he uses the flying V on. I do love the Fender pickups (I installed them, of course), and the Love Driver is probably my favorite all-around guitar. I have 2 Satriani models that I adore, but the LD-95KK is the only strat I own/play (not counting the purple one, which was my late wife's first beginner guitar). The Fender pickups sound great and have gotten used a lot. I would put that Love Driver up against any official vintage strat. If I was going to go play in a bar band, the Love Driver would be there. It's a classic.
Here's Fate, with the Love Driver: ruclips.net/video/3DcNIQ5xgYw/видео.htmlsi=iWMa8eVhQUZD5SCV and here's Vivid Colors, with KK: ruclips.net/video/oDQDGI5MfOg/видео.htmlsi=vzdxO_Vy2RpwvVLU 😍
Why not? Nobody uses the tone pot anyway, and if it's a strat, you can just wire it for a single tone knob. I just put a killswitch in a Glarry 2 humbucker guitar. I put the killswitch where the volume pot was, and then just drilled a new hole and put the volume pot between the button and the tone. imgur.com/gallery/glarrygst-e-with-sanwa-killswitch-VTAZAAs
Each end on the jack, one to one. Doesn't matter which one from the switch goes to which one on the jack, as long as it's one of each. You can test it (I use a battery guitar amp on my bench) before putting everything back together.

Thinking of replacing one of my tone pots with one of these

Are the lugs on the button wired to each end on the jack or are they both wired to the same end on the jack?
