- In this video we will be starting the repair process on this wrecked BMW E46 ZHP 2005 330i with a 6 speed manual transmission. This car was not bought from copart or IAA, it was in fact wrecked by Selena's brother. It still holds a clean title, but if it would have went through insurance it would likely be salvaged due to the extensive engine damage and body damage. Watch as we disassemble and discover all of the damage and also see Selena's brother learning how to repair cars along the way! Let's see what it took to get this engine to run. Thanks for watching!

I've got a question for you on my 2009 335i. Have done all the repairs you've taught me how including turbos. But, for a long while my steering at higher speeds does not firm up. It has new control arms, struts, and end links. However, I think I installed them way back one side then much later the other side. Could different size links cause the tires to not track solid on the ground allowing the "too easy to turn" symptom I have going on? Again, it's not loose steering, it's just very easy to steer like the wheels are on ball bearing plates. And thanks to anyone who may be able to assist.

Stick with it these cars are easy to work on. If you get overwhelmed just take a step back breath and get back at it. You've done great work so far and you've got someone there to help you. This guy is a very high-energy and IQ guy.
I built a E46 with my 18 year nephew and gave it him, one week into driving it he front ended it! We got most all parts at the junkyard and rebuild it again and now he's driving ok. These kids today are either careless or because they're be given gifts don't value things.
Truth right there, gave my a4 to my brother for college and he wrapped it around a pole within 4 months. Maybe my fault for giving him a high power car as a 1st car.
Dude. I'm 58 now. But back when my daughter was 18, she wrecked my car 3 times in 1.5 years then totaled it running a light on her phone. Insurance canceled me. I took her off and said good luck baby! She is 34 today and hasn't had an accident or ticket since paying for everything herself.

It really was, mostly because of that carbon fiber hood! I have a buddy with a body shop that can pull the strut tower if needed. Thanks Nico!

You guys put a lot of time into it. I've had my 2004 since 2008 I got it after someone hit my 2004 coupe and totaled it.
Timeline went from 24 hours to 24 months hella quick 😂😂😂. Great work none the less.

Im in a similar situation, but my 2003 ZHP was t-boned while parked, so airbags and pyro charge didnt blow. Want them? The drivetrain is going into my new 2005 touring currently. Was working on the swap in my garage while this vid was being posted.

@shoplife, - my e46 doesn’t have the outside temperature feature even with sensor equip on the bottom. I don’t have the blinker stalk with the button to cycle thru information on the dash. If I were to buy a stalk with the button would it work to cycle thru information or is that computer based ?

Could be a few things, sounds like it’s a throw out bearing going bad
