Today, we finally get started on the process of prepping my S52 engine for my BMW E36. Despite being fairly low miles the engine looked like it had seen better days. Rust, oil, grime, old paint, you name it, this engine had it stuck to it. I started by stripping all the accessories and begun the process of endless wire wheeling to achieve as clean of a block as I could get. When I say endless, I really mean it haha, the video doesn't do it justice, that took forever. Once clean I applied semi gloss black paint to the block to match the factory finish, and silver to the rest. I am very happy with those this turned out considering it was a DIY and the engine was still together. Really looking forward to slapping on new accessories and tossing this thing in the bay!
