- I spent this summer construction a chicken coop with a wholesome and cozy theme. a minimalistic interior design and a barn/farm look on the outside. Constructed to withstand a long and cold Norwegian winter with a lot of snow.

A little more information about why i all of a sudden uploaded a building video instead of a sculpture video: Me and the chickens have shared space wall to wall inside of the workshop, But my plan is to expand my workspace. The requires me to demolish the chickens old place to stay and that is why i decided to make them a worthy house for the winter!
It was an incredible project for me to go through with because i got to challenge my creativity and i learned a lot. A future dream of mine is to build a small cozy cabin. If i do i will make sure to share the process here!

This is my first building project of this scale, Thanks for pointing out mistakes i might need to fix:
- Need to add a vapor barrier underneath the foundation.
- I layed the roofing underlayment Vertically, It needs to be horizontal and overlapping for proper moisture protection
Any other points that needs to be adressed?, feel free to share below
I loved the project and the integration of your art! The only thing I would have to check regularly are all the nooks and crannies inside for mites to hide, if they occur...

Wonderful change of pace! Your carpentry skills are on pare with your sculpting. I’m a little jealous of the chickens/ducks scenic view, though. You could easily modify their new home into an Airbnb 😅🔨💚

Well I have seen a chook house like that before. You are so clever and it looks great. A Menu on the wall is absolutely crazy in a good way. All the finished touches are great and those chooks have the best place in the world I think. Great sense of humour and a platter of food!!!!

I just love the finishing touch with the Wanted posters. I have secured the area where my chickens roan free against foxes, but falcons are a menace. This Spring I had to cover 500 m2 (almost 5.500 sq ft) with bird net because I got tired of losing chickens every time a falcon came to dine.

This is the most beautiful chicken coop i have seen! But I wonder whether there is enough ventilation for them? Chicken poop makes a lot of ammonia gas and requires plenty of ventilation. Chickens need shelter from draughts but good ventilation.
