The editing when you're talking about the USS Eldridge was beyond next level. How the fuck did he think to put that clip of Bucky in there? Perfection. I'd watch a video on Collings' process. Does he have a hard drive with the entire MCU cut into meme-able chunks?

I tried to get my wife to listen to The Weekly Planet with me. She got as far as “shooting up your butthole” and then she got mad at me and walked away. But anyway, keep it up boys!
It's gotta be Classic Loki! 1) It has to be someone we know, otherwise who cares? 2) Why cast Richard E. Grant for such a short role? 3) What do we know about classic Loki? He fakes his death. That's the story he tells of escaping Thanos, he does it when escaping the base with the other Lokis, and so I think we can assume his self-sacrifice bit at the end was a trick as well. 4) If it were Kang, I don't think most viewers would get that at all. "Who's this guy? Why does he matte? I guess they'll explain this in 'Quantumania'?" 5) Assuming Classic Loki is telling the truth about his escape from Thanos, he may also be the Loki from the movies. What made him a variant was that he decided he missed people, not that he wasn't killed by Thanos.
I think the self-cest angle is really just more of a metaphor than Loki wanting to "romance himself." Loki is taking a long, hard look at himself, thus realizing he is pretty much an ineffectual shit, and in this new awareness is deciding to do something about it and be a better man. He's on a fast-track to where he was before he "died" without all the months of therapy and self-help exercises.
I really want to get excited to see Kang show up at the end as the villain but I’m mostly expecting Jonathan majors to show up as the character Hugh Janus and get killed by Loki
@@RED01SEA what I understood is that she knew what being "adopted" implied. But it's still possible I suppose given all the variations that could lead to a Loki
14:08 The timing of Bucky’s nod and transition to smh, all set to James’ utterance of “nod” and Maso’s “decloaked behind you” gag. I don’t know how you do it, Rob. Like, how quickly did you gravitate to using this shot of Bucky? It’s insane how subtly perfect it is.
One theory I’ve started to like is that King Loki is behind the TVA. I’m the comics, King Loki was a future version of Loki who became King of Asgard and became insane. He then went back in time to try and ensure his existence in the future. Seeing as how we’ve had various variants of Loki, I think it would be interesting if he was the protagonists and antagonist in this too. It’s basically one Loki who succeeded in his ultimate goals and tries to ensure that no other Lokis will pose a threat to his existence. In some screenshots from the trailers, that haven’t been in episodes yet, one is of a Loki in the Asgard throne room standing with his arms out wide, while Asgardians applause him. So maybe that’s the King Loki when he first took power?
Hmm, true, we haven't seen that throne room scene yet. King Loki doesn't sound all that interesting, though. But I can totally belive that Marvel would throw in a billion Kang references to get people excited and then reveal it was King Loki. That's right up their ally.
@@emilianoortiz8795 In the context of the show I think it could be pulled off, after coming to terms with being told their only purpose is to fail, and help others better themselves, it could be quite the contrast in having a Loki that ultimately succeeded where others didn’t and is in fact trying to keep all other Lokis from succeeding and improving themselves.
It’s probably another Loki, there was a scene of Loki in his outfit in a dark room much like the castle, our Loki doesn’t seem to want to change his dress shirt and tie, there’s also him in Asgard’s throne room which is yet to be seen. Also Mobius’s comment that they prune more Loki’s than any other variant hints towards it as well. I would say the time keepers laughing isn’t something Kang would do, Loki would be the one to enjoy the looks on their faces when they realize the Time Keepers were fake.
I predict that it’s gonna be like the first Avengers where Loki is the bad but he works for an ever bigger bad (Thanos). And in the show it’s gonna be a bad King Loki working for Kang
I'm convinced it will be a Loki too. Not just any Loki, I think it might be "our" Loki far in the future. Remember Sylvie asking Loki if she could trust him not to betray her at the very end? It made me think - if the big bad is Kang or someone similar, there's not a chance in hell that Loki would betray Sylvie for them at this point, so it's a weird question. The only person I can think of which might make Loki think twice about betraying Sylvie right now is himself. If he sees himself at the fruition of his glorious purpose, effective ruler of all of the timelines, and that version of him tries to convince him to take over the TVA in the past, to eventually become the Loki in the future - *that* might give him a moment of doubt. In my mind this scenario perfectly embodies all of the themes of the series. Destiny/duty/glorious purpose, self doubt/self loathing/seeing the best in oneself/learning to love oneself, trust and betrayal. All condensed down to a single choice: does Loki choose Sylvie, who shows him what a Loki is capable of, or does he choose his long desired crown and power. Of course I fully expect that Loki will stick with Sylvie (probably after a fake-out where he pretends to betray her to get closer to king Loki) and they'll end up taking down king Loki,. And then (possibly in a post-credits) we'll find out he wasn't ruling over the timeline just because he enjoyed ruling, but that he was deliberately trying to stop Kang by pruning the multiverse, and that will lead into Kang in the movies. And then we'll see Mobius on a jet ski, because Chekov's jet ski.
Richard E Grant put in one of the best and most memorable performances in the history of Comic Book Media. Easily my favourite episode from any of these series and one of my favourite episodes of TV ever
this is when the show reveals that everything is just an endless cycle of Loki variants usurping a throne at the end of time, his true ultimate purpose is to overthrow a version of himself over and over again.
I think the big bad is king loki, makes sense that a show about a self center person would be his own villain, also it makes sense that hes killing past versions/timelines in order to prevent them from changing the timeline that leads to him

The Master did have a brief relationship with himself, John Simm's Master came back and interacted with Michelle Gomez's female version and turned her against the Doctor after he'd spent a few centuries trying to reform her & they were very much handsy and all over each other
I think that was different tho because that was literally the same person a few years apart, whereas Sylvie and Loki are different people with different parents and all. Both are weird IMO.
@@dyiawblou1671 yeah so in the episode with the two of them, if I recall correctly, it ends with John Simn master being killed and going lower in the ship, to regenerate into Missy, hence why Missy teamed up with the cybermen the first time we see her. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mobius was a Loki of some kind. He is able to catch their lies and manipulate them showing that he is on the same level as a Loki in the trickery department. Mobius also said he was a fan of Loki and definitely is continued to be shown to have a soft spot for the Loki’s. The scene where Mobius drives a pizza truck is a double Pixar easter egg. It references Owen Wilson’s role as Lightning McQueen, as well as the Pizza Planet truck.
I really think Miss Minutes acting “suspicious” was just her complying with a kidnapper and surreptitiously calling security. Idt she’s at the center of all this

I guess they'll explain this in 'Quantumania'?"
5) Assuming Classic Loki is telling the truth about his escape from Thanos, he may also be the Loki from the movies.

He’s learning to love himself.
I really want to get excited to see Kang show up at the end as the villain but I’m mostly expecting Jonathan majors to show up as the character Hugh Janus and get killed by Loki

3:49 “A friend of mine” playing over the video of “a friend from work” was a just one of many small strokes of genius from this vid. Great job all.
So maybe that’s the King Loki when he first took power?
although it would be kinda lazy to have as the bad guy a dark version of the protagonist again.

@@SirStrangefolk Personally, I'll stick with Lokigator. Since it's an alligator.
The Sphinx's nose didn't broke, so that's why it was pruned into the end of time lol
It’s also possible that they pulled an avengers infinity war and put a couple scenes in the trailer that aren’t really in the show
Sounds better to me than anything else said.
They are deleted scenes from a movie. Don't know which one.
