Yes! Subversive is truly epic! But Midnight Sun is also an incredibly inspired palette. Subliminal too -- especially in 2017 -- was so boldly deviant from the reigning warm neutrals. Such good stuff! Thanks for showcasing Midnight Sun!

I never understood why midnight sun is so "unpopular" because it's the perfect every day palette for me and while you can easily make it intense and impactful, all shades are so wearable. Like you perfectly demonstrated in this video. It was my first palette from pat and I'm so so happy I got it for 70€ because it's been on sale forever.
The way you approach a palette is amazing. Your love for the color story, the textures, the way you coordinate shades and even the tools you use, in my opinion, is truly inspiring! You make me want to spend time with a palette, get to know it and love it, like you obviously do with Midnight Sun. Astral Solstice is my FAVORITE Pat shade PERIDOT! ✨ You throw her on top of anything and the look is so AMPED UP 😮💨🔥 Y’all should try Astral Solstice over the lid with your finger and the dark shade in the outer v. NO primer required! It’s a beautiful, quick easy look!
I don't know how anyone couldn't love this palette! This is literally Mother earth color story in a palette. The best part is that so many of the shades can be transformed with the special shades on the end like how you added the gold over the olive to make it so flippin beautiful! I swear the camera just doesn't do this palette justice! I mean the gold over the olive to make it look like sunshine on leaves or grass and the silvery white to go on the blue to make it glisten like water! Then you have that hot magma and all of the shades are grounded by the earthy neutrals. Like this palette is truly genius! I think because of so many people's work load and all the stress we just want something quick and it's just the layering of mother's earlier palettes that truly brings out the beauty in them. I'm gonna have to play with this palette tomorrow lol thank you for the inspiration!

Midnight Sun was my first Mothership purchase and it was the start of my PM collection addiction. Now i have 40 PM eyeshadow palettes, all the blushes, a large collection of her gloses and lipsticks, a couple bronzers, 4 foundations, primer, mascaras, and the list goes on. I absolutely love all the products she has come out with and is my favorite brand hands down! Great video and gorgeous look!!!

When I first start purchasing pat palettes I would say midnight sun wasn’t on the list, I was on board with the divine roses and bronze seduction, but then it was on sale last year I was like u know what let me buy and try what’s the worst that could happen, I know you highly recommended it. And wow was I surprised how well the colour looks and how they blend and look so beautiful on my olive undertone skin. It is def one of my favs now along with subversive 💜
This palette is definitely autumn, but the addition of Blitz Violet Orchid pushes it into Halloween territory and I love that about it. That shade also gives me moon vibes when you pair it with Astral Solstice, where autumn is where the day shortens and the night is longer.. so it fits lol

Thank you for this tribute to Midnight Sun! I was one of the many who were surprised to find it absent from your fall palette vidgeo. I love watching you do looks and gush over this palette, because I love it, too. My fave shades: Blood Moon 005, Vermilion Venom, and Wicked Envy. But what I really love about this palette is its versatility. Each of your eye looks was very different from the next, even though you used some repeat shades. That is where I think the most recent Motherships fall a bit short. Not enough variation in the mattes in particular. Thank you again. ❤ Well done! 😘
My 2 favorite palettes are PMG Midnight Sun and ND Triochrome ..and you are the only one giving them some love. Your videos are always so inspiring and make me want to play with them again and again. Vermillion venom looks brick on me ( I am fair, neutral with olive undertones) and I love adding it to nearly every look mixing with ND palettes. Staying with midnight sun: Vermillion in the crease, the olive one on the lid. I use the champagne one on the lid, with taboo in the crease and smoke it with dusk . I love them all
Love my midnight sun! For anyone wondering, if you don’t have the Intensifeyes - Inglot Duraline mixed with any astral shades, glitter glues or even (gasp) Petroleum jelly (for photos, doesn’t wear long) work as great ways to get those flakey shades poppin.

I used Midnight Sun today also.😊 And I'm ready for fall🎉 Vermillion Venom comes off darker on my skin also...and bronze eclipse comes off much brighter on my skin than on yours. I was trying to get that look but it's so bright. Still pretty though.

This is my favorite wearable Pat McGrath palette and I don't feel like it gets a lot of love. Whenever I wear a look from this palette, people tell me they love my eye make-up or I look beautiful. The color story looks awesome on light eyes. My favorite artistic palette is Subversive even though I don't really use it often.

I'm mostly done unpacking my cosmetics after moving to another state, and Midnight Sun is positioned nicely front and center in one of my drawers right next to Subliminal. Midnight Sun is truly a new artistic direction for Pat McGrath and very avant-garde for me personally and fits Pat's artistry very much so. I still want this palette and may treat myself to this come winter or at the end of the year.

I use wicked envy to give a little smoke to bronze eclipse when I am going with an everyday kind of look. I find it great. A possible idea for future Pat videos: since she is selling pre-selected pairs of motherships on the site, why not pick a few and show how to use each couple together?
Yes Alicia! I have noticed how Vermilion Venom looks different from Pan to eyelid! In the pan, it looks reddish orange or Terra cotta. On my lid, it definitely looks more red/burgundy, which I ❤!
i have all the Motherships but 2.. Midnight Sun was my first and is still my favorite of all of them. The violet shade is unique and absolutely beautiful!! Astral Solstice is like nothing else. Best mothership palette!!

Subliminal is my favorite Mothership, but Midnight Sun was my first Mothership and will always be in my top 3. I wore Midnight Sun yesterday, so it still gets lots of use from me!!! (But there is rarely a day I’m wearing eyeshadow that a Pat McGrath shadow isn’t involved somehow even if it’s just a tap of an Astral shade in the middle of my lid to top off a look.)

Hello Alicia, I don’t have all Pat McGrath Mothership palettes. I have my favorite Bronze Seduction, Divine Rose 1 & 2 and Moonlit Seduction. I have 2 of her holiday palettes. But I’m just talking about mothership palettes right now. There are only 2 other palettes I really want and that’s Huetopian Dream and Subliminal. I never really looked at Midnight Sun. Just finished watching…these ideas are glorious. The brown shade looks real tone on me but I am light with rosy undertone. it looks similar to the dark burgundy in the new palette. (I don’t have the shade name placards handy so I never know the name of the shades)

Yeah Bronze Eclipse could run brighter on deeper skin tones. It probably needs to be applied in a softer fashion, almost like a veil.

Yes Alicia! I have noticed how Vermilion Venom looks different from Pan to eyelid! In the pan, it looks reddish orange or Terra cotta. On my lid, it definitely looks more red/burgundy, which I ❤!
i have all the Motherships but 2.. Midnight Sun was my first and is still my favorite of all of them. The violet shade is unique and absolutely beautiful!! Astral Solstice is like nothing else. Best mothership palette!!

I wish pat would make a palette with earthy greens and browns for the matte and shimmer part of the mothership with fun pops for the special shades
That would be lovely, but people would not buy it like they do the pinks 😮💨 The brand probably decided all the fun shades are solely for limited releases/holiday collections.
Subliminal is my favorite Mothership, but Midnight Sun was my first Mothership and will always be in my top 3. I wore Midnight Sun yesterday, so it still gets lots of use from me!!! (But there is rarely a day I’m wearing eyeshadow that a Pat McGrath shadow isn’t involved somehow even if it’s just a tap of an Astral shade in the middle of my lid to top off a look.)

Hello Alicia, I don’t have all Pat McGrath Mothership palettes. I have my favorite Bronze Seduction, Divine Rose 1 & 2 and Moonlit Seduction. I have 2 of her holiday palettes. But I’m just talking about mothership palettes right now. There are only 2 other palettes I really want and that’s Huetopian Dream and Subliminal. I never really looked at Midnight Sun. The eyeshadow lover in me wants Midnight Sun Now. Let’s see if I get that one next. Thanks Alicia for your beautiful looks. I love watching you create a look. 🥰🙏

Just started watching and I have to comment…I have loved this from the beginning…subliminal is still my favorite but this is a close second. I may have mentioned this palette as one of my favorites for fall

Just finished watching…these ideas are glorious. The brown shade looks real tone on me but I am light with rosy undertone. it looks similar to the dark burgundy in the new palette. (I don’t have the shade name placards handy so I never know the name of the shades)
