The water used for boiling Indonesian instant noodles, namely Indomie, doesn't need to be thrown away because the water used for cooking contains lots of vitamins from the noodles. What's dangerous about instant noodles is the seasoning, which contains a lot of MSG and other chemicals
I do that too (in Philippines). cooking the noodles separately in hot water and then throwing that water away gets rid of the extra msg and sodium in the fried dried noodles. if you want to make it with soup instead, put the spice packet in a separate bowl with hot water while you cook the noodle in separate hot water, drain and completely remove the noodles from that water after 3 minutes, then put it into the already mixed soup bowl, just like real noodle soup. top with soft cooked egg or even crispy fried egg, and mix, add crispy fried onion or fried garlic. if you want it dry like a simple mi goreng, just add the spice packet and mix after throwing away the noodle water 👍
They even serve semi-solid eggs like I make for my own noodles. Super happy to see that this wasn't just me obsessing over yolk liquidity and white texture.

Krn panas kompornya beda, kl ga salah air rebusan mie di warmindo kuga ditambahi tepung beras dikit(?). Dl ada yg buka rahasia indomie warmindo, emang beda cara masaknya
As long as the packaging doesn't say "Mi Goreng", it is recommended to cook it with the broth water. You're probably eating the Mi Goreng variant with white packaging
It is mie goreng, but its not quite a soup, if you notice, they cooked it until the "soup" is barely there. The term we used is "nyemek" for this kind of cooking. It's in-between dry and soupy. I guess the closest term is stir-fry, like a lot of chinese cooking.
@@edzz177 Do you know ingredients that go into the sauce, at least approximately? I have only eaten indomie noodles with package spices so I would like to try a new way. Also if you know what that last brown topping is, fried chives?
Each stall/stand/restaurant have their own special sauce which they add (2:38) which make their dishes unique and distinguishable. This is what makes a stand/restaurant popular.
@@MiChzP thanks for the information, in my country we just cook the noodle following the instruction in the package without adding any other sauce, so It's quite interesting to know that it is cooked in that way in motherland
Idk how exactly the guy in the video does it but sometimes when i try making runny eggs it helps when you steam them. It gives u a larger margin of error.
Haha you mean like people can just make it at home? I make these noodles almost every day, right out of the packet (with 2 sunny-side up eggs) and it is already delicious. Wonder how much they upcharge for the extra ingredients/labor and how much more delicious it is? 🤔
i’ve never seen indo-mie made like this - i definitely need to try this method next time!! i’m curious, does indo-mie not sell “wholesale” form noodles for shops like these? i hope i don’t sound ignorant but it feels like a waste of plastic to use individually wrapped noodles… i wonder if the company offers a larger quantity of product so that there is less wastage by large restaurants/food canteens?
When the places named "Warmindo" they'll cook instant noodle instead of the fresh one. The fresh one had their own name and it depends on the style, place, etc.
@@ahndeux Its just literally "store" + "Indomie". I think you never know what were the difference between street food, food stall, etc. Restaurant isn't the only place that sells food.

@@sicario1337 There's nothing dangerous about MSG

Yes but it's cheaper and tastier (they also give a secret sauce) so many people especially students like it
They also added lots of eggs. Maybe it added to the bulk
Total 18 packs for 20 bowl.
It's a normal mie dokdok, It's so tasty and I usually make something like that if I am bored with normal one.
This one is slightly different, with extra aceh spices
Itu org Aceh bang..jd kyknya pake bumbu mie Aceh itu
Damnnn it... midnight watching this indomie....need to make it ASAP 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

As a person UNHEALTHILY obsessed with indomie… i need to be there. Asap.
Ini mi goreng tp dibikin berkuah yah? Baru tau caranya semua bumbu dimasukin pas lg di masak. Bsk2 cb ah 😁
Dan aneh nya, ketika saya memasak indomie sendiri di rumah, rasa enaknya beda sama yang di warmindo,🗿🗿🗿
Padahal metode untuk masak indomie nya sama😂😂
Pake bumbu Aceh
@Prasetyo Kromodiharjo iya, kaya elu🗿🗿🗿🗿
@@ayiz_ebel156 👍👍👍

Omg ive always eaten these as dry noodles where you drain the water bc the pack says to. I want to try this soup version
As long as the packaging doesn't say "Mi Goreng", it is recommended to cook it with the broth water.
You're probably eating the Mi Goreng variant with white packaging
Isnt that wat they are making. It looks like mi goreng to me
It is mie goreng, but its not quite a soup, if you notice, they cooked it until the "soup" is barely there. The term we used is "nyemek" for this kind of cooking. It's in-between dry and soupy. I guess the closest term is stir-fry, like a lot of chinese cooking.
The extra red sauce that the cook add to the wok is what make the soup base, you cant replicate this only with seasoning from mi goreng.
@@edzz177 Do you know ingredients that go into the sauce, at least approximately? I have only eaten indomie noodles with package spices so I would like to try a new way. Also if you know what that last brown topping is, fried chives?
never expect this noodle can be served with a lot of extra sauce
Each stall/stand/restaurant have their own special sauce which they add (2:38) which make their dishes unique and distinguishable. This is what makes a stand/restaurant popular.
@@MiChzP thanks for the information, in my country we just cook the noodle following the instruction in the package without adding any other sauce, so It's quite interesting to know that it is cooked in that way in motherland
@@yukarikoyushito5525Come on, make your own version of Indomie and get addicted like me can't stop
Man what a beautiful bowl of noodles, that pepper paste he put in I bet makes it, it looks delicious.
thanks for watching
Guyz can I ask how do he made those runny eggs on the glass? did he boild it or steamed it? It looks so practical and wanted to try it.
Idk how exactly the guy in the video does it but sometimes when i try making runny eggs it helps when you steam them. It gives u a larger margin of error.
Itu telor rebus stengah matang...🤔🤔🤔
Why not create their own unique distinct taste of goreng noodles ? With that way of cooking , somebody can easily compete with them . 😮
The red sauce 2:38 may be that
the red sauce is their own unique one, and make the goreng noodles more flavour
Haha you mean like people can just make it at home? I make these noodles almost every day, right out of the packet (with 2 sunny-side up eggs) and it is already delicious. Wonder how much they upcharge for the extra ingredients/labor and how much more delicious it is? 🤔
I also cook Ramen noodle like this. Learned from my mom who operate a canteen
I can make a rough duplicate of this except, what's the red sauce he adds?
KupaL sauce
@@anonymously241 Someone else said Sambal sauce?
@@anonymously241 that would be 😫🤣
@@ctakitimu basically its "mie aceh sauce"

Still more hygienic than 90% of India's street foods
Looks Delicious ❤
damn...i wanna try it, it also got veggie in it so it should be quite healthy
few leaves of something + ton of msg :D not healthy for sure, but it is delicious
orang luar kalo liat streetfood kita kyk prindapan
😋
i’ve never seen indo-mie made like this - i definitely need to try this method next time!!
i’m curious, does indo-mie not sell “wholesale” form noodles for shops like these? i hope i don’t sound ignorant but it feels like a waste of plastic to use individually wrapped noodles… i wonder if the company offers a larger quantity of product so that there is less wastage by large restaurants/food canteens?
As a Malaysian,
I've never been to my neighbour's country: Indonesia
( in my life ) ,
I'll try the indomie sooner when I get there 🥢

Would taste better if they used fresh noodles and natural spices. But i would still get me a bowl of that please. 😅
Its called "low class" dining.
When the places named "Warmindo" they'll cook instant noodle instead of the fresh one. The fresh one had their own name and it depends on the style, place, etc.
@@donykaef6920 Does the word "Warmindo" mean "lazy" in Indonesian?
@@ahndeux Its just literally "store" + "Indomie".
I think you never know what were the difference between street food, food stall, etc. Restaurant isn't the only place that sells food.
@@donykaef6920 Street food is sold on carts on the street. You can eat there, but you need to sit on the sidewalk, a stool or bench. A "restaurant" is a place where you can sit down. Guess what these crappy places look like? A restaurant. Why? It has seats, tables, etc. A question is, why would they sell garbage that even street vendors don't sell? I bet the food in the street carts are fresher than this garbage.
This is my favorite! Would love a bowl right now!!!
32 tahun aku hidup di indonesia baru tahu cara buka indomie yang cepeat seperti itu
Idem😂
I’m surprised that a restaurant uses package noodles and the seasoning packet as well. Can people not just do this at home?
Didnt you see the special sauce they added? You seem to underestimate asian packed noodles.
I don’t think you realize what type of store this is. I understand your logic but at the end of the day, noodles are going to all the be same and the dark soy sauce, msg, and oil are just the same you would buy in any other place. You could make the argument that almost everything you eat out you could make at home. But clearly this shop still has business
