The M1 Caliber is a fully integrated, patent pending, measuring tool that clamps to almost any kind of saw fence and outputs measurements of materials slid underneath its wheel on a large, backlit, LCD screen. This Augmented Tool is more accurate, faster to use, and safer than traditional methods.
Please ensure all proper techniques are used for cutting and material handling when operating a saw of any kind. Manufacturer's directions and safety recommendations should be followed at all times while operating. - Наука
Can’t wait for it saw it tool review zone this is just what I needed cause my tape measure gets taken, falls out of windows or my tool bag/belt and I forget to go grab it or just completely forget it fell out then I’m at saw looking all around
Had a stroke trying to read this
I cant wait for the Kickstart! I am poised and ready!
Great stuff. I look forward to being about to purchase it direct from your website rather than kickstarter. After a few terrible crowd funding experiences where no product was received and no help from kickstarter i'm happy to wait until you successfully launch and offer the unit as a retail sale. I'll accept the price rise.
Is each device calibrated at the factory to accommodate for variance in the rubber wheel diameter? What precision and accuracy does it provide?
The way you've demonstrated that you'll always be the thickness of the saw-blade short of your desired measurement. Butt a piece of stock up to the right side of the blade. Clamp in place, lift blade, slide the stock you want to cut up to the clamped piece and set the M1 to zero. Remove the clamped stock. M1 is now 'zeroed in'.
Excellent idea and I'd look at getting one.
Hey Tim, the blade offset (thickness of the blade kerf) can be programmed and stored in the device so it is included in any measurement made on the device ensuring an accurate cut!
Have another question. Hows does this device handle short cross cuts? Meaning, If I need to cross cut 2 1/2 inches off a piece of 2x6, how would I do that with this device? I see that it sits on the fence. Based on the videos, if I set that device on the fence in the same area, roll that piece of 2x6 past the roller underneath the device and get to 2 1/2 inches, it looks like the wood would not even make it to the fence.
I love your products
FANTASTIC TOOL !!!!!
😊 lo amo 😍 esta genial esa herramienta
I love this product I would love to be able to test it in a video 😉😉😉
What if you want the measurements to be to the left of the blade? My cut table has more room to the left of my saw.
@Reekön Tools ... how do you set up the different thickness of the saw blade? Could you explain it or make a RUclips video for this issue?
Hey Wolfgang, the middle button on the unit allows you to set your "blade offset" and will then be saved in the device. We will certainly be releasing a video demonstrating this process in the coming weeks, stay tuned!
That’s nice to hear and I guess that is one of the most asked question how does it work with the saw blade setup because you use mostly different saw blades
@@wolfgangselle4307 you can change this value as often as you like, it takes about 15 seconds to perform so if you switched to a saw or saw blade with a different width, you could change the value and it would be immediately updated in the saved memory to reflect your new selection
I'd have to hook it to the right side of my mitre saw and no more bevel cuts. They'd have to be done on the table saw. I have 73" to the left of my saw and 60" to the right. This tool would take up the 8" I have no tape measure on the fence because of the wings. Made my center table too big.
Saludos . Alguien podría decirme dónde se puede comprar . Gracias
Love the YT ad, "comes in English or Metric" to bad it doesn't come in Imperial measurement.
Hey, it can do mm, cm, in, and ft measurements
Is it possible to deliver India .?
For precision of 0.02" it is quite off at 1:24. What about precision after some time when the wheel gets worn out or with a dust build up on wheel?
Hey Gregor, this is a prototype M1 as we made the video a while back. Production M1s are made much more robustly and all feature in-unit calibration meaning you can calibrate any of them in the field whenever you want in under a minute to negate any effects of the wheel or other variables that may change over time.
Is it only for straight cuts or can you cut 45 degree cuts for door or window casing? Second question.....if you have 10 cuts of the same measurement.....do you have to zero it out after every cut? In the video it shows the measurement increasing everytime you put the wood under the wheel.....
Hey Richard, you can make any kind of cut you like on it, the wheel will always measure the material slid underneath it. We plan on uploading a video highlighting this next week!
@@REEKONTools so to make repetitive cuts you need to zero it out each time? Does that just zero the distance out or it zeros the calibration out also?
@@hazmat2448 Yup, you would need to zero each time you make a new cut but the blade offset is saved once you set it once so it will be applied every time you zero the device!
@@REEKONTools thank you....looks amazing...will it work on inside and outside cuts for crown? I assume it measures to the tip of the cut that touches the blade? Sorry for the questions......im a gc and do alot of trim work..
..this would be a great tool if it helps with that.....how much is the unit?
@@hazmat2448 Happy to help! It will work for any and every cut you can make using a miter saw. The principle of how it works is measuring whats rolled underneath it with a user telling the device where its starting from (hence begin measuring). The blade offset is an added feature for not having to account for thickness of blade when making a straight cut. When making angled cuts, this number will change so it will either need to be adjusted or zeroed on the front side of the blade.
when is this available?. I need this in my life
Tomorrow at 9am EST! reekon.xyz/aedf2
IT is good for metal?🤔
does it account for saw blade thickness?
yes indeed! You can enter whatever blade thickness you like and it will automatically account for the thickness!
Will this do millimetres?
Yes it can do mm and cm! We decided to add mm too after hearing many people asking for it!
