Not to alarm anyone but there is a skeleton inside you right now
Bruh
The public ain't ready bruh
No there's not. Skeletons aren't real. You can't fool me
Gasp
Actually, I'm inside a skeleton. I'm the brain. The other stuff just tells me what is happening, and lets me do things.
Fun fact: if you go to the Deeproot Depths, you can see copies of Godwyn's face spread throughout the roots of the Erdtree. His "living flesh" is spreading and corrupting the Tree like a cancer, and you can even see his eyes/face in other areas where the Living Death is located above ground.
Tbh, the concept of Godwyn as this spreading, "alive" form of Death is legit terrifying.
he's in stormveil and even on the crabs in leyndells moat
The Basilisks this time around have real giant eyes too, those big eyes are Godwyn’s
Common Godwyn's W
@@csam9167 well his name is GodWYN not Godlose
Can't put it any other way then terrifying 😂
This was the ending I decided on. I thought it meant that all things could die as natural, and now I realize I’ve made the first Chosen Undead 💀 .
Nito! (Pun intended)
That’s what I thought also. I thought the natural cycle of life would return. Nope. We just made an undead world.
Yeah we essentially take Gwyn’s role if you think about it with Godwyn becoming are Nito, Fia or alternatively Sellan fits for are Witch of Izalith (thematically the gravenmass is similar to the bed of chaos) and I guess we don’t really have a Seath as we don’t get to talk to any of the dragons
@@5N3K93 We quite literally did the Spooky Scary Skeletons ending
Eh it's better than any other one besides Stars and Chaos.
Skeleton rights ending
I love your pfp
Ranni and Godwyn each shared one half of the cursemark. I'm not sure what this implies, but obviously Ranni did this to escape the greater will and the two fingers by shedding her body. However, by doing so she somehow affected Godwyn's fate; resulting in only Godwyn's soul dying. Was she complicit in this? Was Godwyn a willing participant in the scheme? Is there a bigger picture that we cannot see as of yet?
Not super up on my lore, but it may be that Ranni tricked the Black Knives into helping her by saying she wanted to kill Godwyn, probably to send a message to Marika or as revenge for stealing Radagon from Rennala? Either way, Ranni killed herself at the same time, which split the Rune of Death's power between her and Godwyn. Godwyn's soul was destroyed, but Ranni's survived while her body perished.
The whole Prince of Death and Those Who Live in Death situation was an unintended - or unimportant - result of Ranni's ploy to institute her vision as an Empyrean. Interestingly enough, Miquella's closest relationship outside of Malenia sounds like it was Godwyn, so I'm sure the Night of the Black Knives also threw his fate into motion. I'm really excited to see what lore the DLC has for us.
@@Galifay same, I'm really looking forward to it.
The full rune would kill in body and soul. However Ranni orchestrated herself and Godwin getting killed at the same time with half the rune - resulting in her getting only her body killed while her soul remained, while for Godwin only his soul died but the body stayed alive.
As to why Godwyn - maybe he was the least bad choice? She certainly wouldn't want to sacrifice her full-blood siblings (seems like they were a loving family). Malenia was to strong and Miquella to innocent and pure. The Omen brothers were shunned and propably hard to find trappened beneath the city. That only left Godwyn.
Godwyn definitely didnt want to participate
... why am I reminded of Gravelord Nito...
"the first of the dead" i feel sorry for those who didn't play the trilogy
Ranni: the golden order commits evil and cruel acts to achieve their goals
Also ranni: im gonna murder my half brother and keep him in a soulless living state which will allow death to fester so i can achieve my goal of moving out without the supervision of my parents
Well she knew that way she could just leave her empyrean body and enter her doll one,so she probably knew that while she left her body,Godwyn's body would be the only thing left of him
I mean eh, can't imagine she cared much for godwyn. Seems convenient to kill the son of the woman your dad left mom for.
@shanedsouza189 yeah except... Godwyn by all accounts was a perfect Prince of Noble character. The twins even loved him. He was a just guy, why not... kill Merika instead? Or Rykard?
@@kailanerman5090Marika? I dont think Ranni or the assassins could've defeated her , plus Marika was probably collaborating with them to begin with
@@kailanerman5090 "the first prince and only one not forsaken in some way by the golden order was perfect and noble and everyone liked him and he smelled of butterflies and flowers"
source : the golden order
This ending could also just very well be the backstory to Dark Souls 😂
I mean, it would show how Humans in Dark Souls are undead, with them being embedded into the Order, so the laws of Nature and how Nito came to be, as the First of the Dead.
Of course, this "theory" has many holes and is obviously not true but I think it's funny to think about
That's From Soft for you. Pinnacle of fan service.
You’re forgetting about the dragons ruling the earth thing before Gwyn found the first flame
But I do have to agree with you on one point, Godwyn is essentially a retold version of Nito
First of the dead?! Nito?! XD
My thoughts exactly!
Naw sadly it is not the Ravelord himself
Isn't he kinda the opposite? Nito has a living soul in a dead body, Godwyn is a living body with a dead soul
@@topdrain yes! They also share a theme when it comes to sickness/plague, Nito had his “miasma” which was toxic build up and Godwyn has Deathblight
Oh and both are connected with necromancers, both types of necromancers use Fire of some kind too with Ghostflame here and in ds1 the necromancer enemies could shoot Fire Balls from the Skull Lantern, both also have a Pinwheel! As Necromancer Garris wields the “Family Heads” an obvious Pinwheel reference
Keep in this in mind: Death(0) is the absence of Life(+). Not unlike how Cold(0) is the absence of Heat(+). Life can only be born from life. Undeath(-) can only be born from Death(0), which as an absence is not a true physical condition in of itself. No matter what, it relies on Life.
Those who Live in Death are Undead who, maybe like Godwyn, are dead in soul and are alive in body only. Maybe these Undead are golems/gargoyles in a body that is dead. Are those who Live in Death really living at all? Are they a different kind of life, just a physical body alive with no soul?
I think that this is the best ending for the second game.
Really? Ranni's seems to be the most beneficial for everyone lol
@@apathyreaper5323i agree with both of you lol
@@apathyreaper5323 ranni's ending is in search of a new world in the stars, but fia's ending is this world has strayed away from order that it's time for a new outer god to choose a new champion.
Gold mask ending best
@madffx1986 I believe rannis ending is less of a world in the stars but is where you and ranni take the elden ring and hide it far, far away from the lands between, meaning it's up to you and the people to govern your world, basically making it so outer gods couldn't take control of the world anymore. That's what the Japanese version sounds like
"Don't give up, skeleton!"
And the skeleton never did, finally earning its place in the world.
So, Godwyn is like.... Elden Ring Nito...?
Eeeeh, kinda yes? Kind of no? Godwyn is more or less a somewhat unwilling king of the undead that doesnt really have conciousness and spreads dead like a parasit. Nito on the other hand is more of an actual entity that is aware and has a form of will.
@@yp.m1534I think they drastically mirror each other and they even share a lot of similarities, both deal in diseases Godwyn’s Deathblight and Nito’s Miasma, Necromancer Garris is essentially Pinwheel if Pinwheel was a willing servant, both have “Necromancers” under there domain that guide with fire you see this with the ghostflame torchpole commoner enemies and the skull lantern wielding hallows, D’s even kinda a similar to Paladin Leroy
@@yp.m1534the key difference is Godwyn is an uncaring god who essentially doesn’t want to lead, while Nito reveled in his position literally coating himself in his followers
Thus, the origin of Nito...
You forgot to mention you gotta fight a dragon to get that ending 😂 classic fairy tale tinge to it
Except in this fairy tale the damsel sleeps with a corpse and dies while you're fighting the dragon
Not just any Dragon, a Lichdragon so its also Classic RPG too
@@thomasdevlin5825I mean technically she just goes to sleep, sleep and death go hand and hand this is why Rodgier goes into a deep slumber before he’s death blighted
I know, I hear that thing creakin and crackin inside my constantly
Godwyn is inevitably a key part to elden ring. No matter what ending you do. Godwyn keeps growing. He's even in Farum azula. He has something big prepared for him.
I like the theory that all elden ring endings.. or most lead to another soulsborne game.. like the normal fire and ash one is obviously dark souls .. someone said the night one from ranni ending is for bloodbourne.. but hey theories are fun
So the duskborn ending brings real death back to the world? Do people die body and soul now?
It would end the cycle of returning to the erdtree after death. It is the age of death.
Releasing the rune of death brings real death back to the world, so pretty much all endings do that
Opposite. Now EVERYONE gets to be "those that live in death" (I.E. undead corpses that can't fully die).
I think Gravelord Nito got a glow up!
I wonder why malekith didn't try to destroy the godwyn living body or something to stop him from spawning living death
That assuming Malekith knew where Godwyn’s body was
What if ranni targeted godwyn specifically because theyre the most similar?
- eldest (?)
- future ruler of their faction probably
- bested a dragon
- born of a god and a human (rennala radagon, godfrey marika)
Idk maybe im reaching but i just cant think of any other reason other than this AND ranni wanting to spite marika
Or maybe Godwyn is the only demigod she knew isn’t related to her, Morgott and Mohg were below back then
I want to fight this god so bad… our battle with him will be legendary 🖤🥀
my problem with these endings is that they use big words like "first of the dead" and "non persecution of those who live in death" but you see non results of that, you have no reason to believe people will stop attacking skeletons or that life in death is a good thing, you just sit on the gamer chair
So you basically become the Grim Reaper in tghis ending. You litteralyl reintroduced death into the world
You reintroduce death in all of the endings, when you kill Maliketh and unseal the Rune of Death. This ending is more normalizing undeath.
It’s literally Darksouls he becomes Nito first ever being to truly die
Ah, gracious lord
Make Londor whole…
Basically:
>Uhhhh, there's something wrong with your tree.
>What's wrong with it?
>You've got some "dead" guy growing on it. You should probably prune it or something, looks kinda gross. Also it's creating zombies so that's probably not good.
Do the Age of Order ending. That was my first choice.
I'm choas incarnate I can not die may choas take the world
My favorite lore in the game
Hey Fextra 👍
im confused, i thought everybody is immortal in elden ring, so they dont go to the erdtree, i just thought.... everyone respawns???
Nope, we only respawn because we see grace but it’s a bit hazy how immortal everyone else is tbh especially with the Rune of Death sealed away until you beat Maliketh and such
I think it’s like reincarnation as opposed to going to an afterlife
@@craig6066same but with all memory like not being reborn into a new life but a rebirth at someone's peak condition but that's my head cannon
And since this is not Canaan, he still alive, and still the prince of death
Definitely the more neutral of the endings in the game
Does this make Godwyn akin to Nito?
Yes
Nah. I'm on journey 2 roleplaying a crucible knight and using holy incantations and wearing goldmask mask. When I saw Godwin's corpse my only response was to destroy that abomination. Like let the poor guy die.
Wouldn’t a crucible knight wear the crucible helm? And cast crucible/beastly incantations?
@@eeyun5279 yeah but I'm trying one where he doesn't shy away from using other types of Incantations. After all the crucible is the origin of everything. And I have some difficulties finding all the crucible incantations.
This is how dark souls starts?
I can’t believe skeletons are real 😮😮😮😮😮
Wait so theres 4 endings bruh. I thought i did all of them. Might have to go at it again
Theres more than 4 endings. Regular ending, Ranni's ending, Flame of frenzy ending, goldmask ending, dungeater ending, duskborn ending.
Hell naw
There's 6
Or you can just go with the age of the Stars ending which will give the same effect those of the undead will no longer be persecuted because of logic and reason. Will dictate the world
I always tought that in Rannis ending we lock out other gods and just leave this world. Like now everyone has free will and they can do whatever. They can be raging lunatics, zelots or calm hippies but there wont be any other influence over them so its persons own choice to be like this. So there is always chance undead will be chased around or even stop exisiting if we return life cycle to its original state.
We will never know for sure whats gona happen and thats the fun part.
@@dr_kenko752 well it's kind of sort of like that but logic and reason will dictate the world and freedom will reign. Ranni and the tarnished will leave this world because she does not want worship. or Vindication from the masses she's not a God to teach other people how they should live their life here at the golden order once order it doesn't matter which order it is so an age of stars she will leave this world the lands between with her husband and allow people to pursue whatever they want she will not be a God who constantly watches and be vigilant. She will be a god distant and cold but it will give the masses freedom.
That's why she killed the tow fingers and killed her body she wanted to be completely free to impose this age of stars. To give the world freedom and logic so like her mother they can look at the sky for answers instead of some outer God.
@@dr_kenko752yeah pretty much, you essentially go with Ranni on a journey to commune with the moon itself but this will take eons to reach so you essentially leave the world without the keys aka the Elden Ring but you will come back one day
"First of the dead" is a title already taken
The first of the dead... Huh
First of the dead you say?
who else is the first of the dead?
NITO, therefore godwyn must be nito!
(I jest)
I meannnn Nito was known for his miasma and sickness when it came to killing the dragons and Godwyn is the origin of death blight! A blight is a sickness!! Cracked the code
I went with the duskborn ending. It’s the true ending.
I still don’t get it… like what’s the point for a dead man?
First of the dead huh? Nito lol
So godwyn is nito 😂
That seems like a good ending, no?
Never fucking mind Holy shit
@@malachisanford2314why never mind?
wut
Wah wah wah wah wah Like Charlie Browns teacher. That’s what all Wlden Ring lure sounds like to me.
Ok
Ok
Kinda like your comment sounds like
Soooo Nito from DS1 confirmed ✅
