Bishop Carlton Pearson turned his back on the Doctrine of the Bible and basically called us ignorant for believing in Gods word! The gospel of inclusion is OFF and he double downed ok this belief and cracked jokes about us being ignorant but we want to sit here and just erase that. Respectfully, …. Some of us contacted him privately and chose not speak of it publicly. However, I definitely honored him in February and recently with posts. One was “Precious Memories.” The other was “The Gentlest, Most Selfless Man I Ever Knew!” With that said, this has been extraordinarily painful. Bishop Pearson chose his course, based on what he believed. I’ve always respected him for that and refused to approve of terms meant to demean him. As you say, I’ve got the receipts. Just as he is to be respected, so are those who believe differently. Whether a person chooses to comment publicly is their PREROGATIVE! If a person, a Preacher, has been silent (currently), and not mentioned a person’s name in any public discourse, HERETOFORE, why then should it be a problem and be considered a surprise if they remain silent in that person’s final hours. We’ll pray for our dear brother and pray that his transition is in PEACE! God’s way is the high way.

Did Carton Pearson play a vital role in your public launch, exposure, public success, kept secrets and public riches?? NO. Not the same way. So don't you think, at the very least, he should be publicly honored the same as he has publicly honored TD Jakes for many years. My mom took a week to transition 7 years ago. Like you Larry, I fought every one who treated her like crap. She was such a giver to all her family for many years, but when she stopped giving to the takers, they pulled away from her. One of her brothers purposely didn't get on the call at the set time (they are in Belize, while we live in California), but had the nerve to call me bawling the day after she transitioned. I asked for prayers and a cousin started to spread the rumor that mom had passed already. I cussed everybody out on that one. So many people flew in from all over the world to give mom her flowers, but the users were just trifling. 7 years later I still fiercely defend my mom. I'm proud of how you defend the Bishop.

Larry, there is NOTHING wrong with crying even if you only knew someone for 5 minutes. I went to a funeral of a man that I had no clue who he was but because his family was so overcome with grief and they cried like crazy, I started crying just because of the atmosphere, energy and emotions in the room.
My dog even cried with me when I was crying about a situation that she had no clue what I was upset about.
If animals can cry when they know nothing, then you have EVERY right to cry over Bishop Carlton Pearson even if you only knew him for a short time.

You are absolutely correct! Bishop Pearson introduced Bishop Jakes at Bishop Carlton Pearson's church Higher Dimensions. I was there! Bishop Jakes' message was "Behind Closed Doors." I have the video. Bishop Pearson sent the video into TBN and the rest is history.

Larry, as I understand the inclusion teaching and belief system, you're not being factually correct. It's not just that Bishop Pearson ascribed to a belief of "no hell and that God loves everyone." The man taught that everyone goes to Heaven... and without even believing or accepting Jesus or his atoning sacrifice for them!
How can any of us reconcile that belief with the fundamental words of Jesus Himself saying we must believe in Him as the only way, the only door, the only truth... and the only life?
Are we to minimize His words and all He went through to make that possible for the sake of acknowleding a man for letting someone preach/sing at a conference?
Exactly. This ideas that “all he did was deny hell” is untruthful. His message did not line up with the gospel and is heretical. No one is denying CP’s humanity, but the fact that they still calls him “Bishop” speaks volumes to how loosely they actually hold to biblical teachings.
I love Bishop Pearson and have enjoyed his singing & ministry for years. I'm praying for my brother. HOWEVER, sir...with all do respect, you CANNOT tell people there is NO hell. That's a very dangerous thing to teach. If Jesus says Hell does exists (Matt. 25-41 and many times in the parables), then he's basically calling the Son of God a liar. Actually, not to defend Bishop Jakes (as I don't know him) but Bishop Jakes was at Bishop Lambert Gates' convocation earlier this year and he was telling how he struggled to the point where he was. He told them if it had not been for Bishop Carlton Pearson giving him a change the world would not know him.

I feel you on this Larry about there not being a collective concern from the so called men and women of “GAAAWWD.” I met Bishop and sister Gina twice in Virginia Beach twice and he remembered me the second time. He gave me a fully saved male role model during my college years in the mid 90s. He’s such a genuine soul that treated everyone with respect. He never struck me as high and mighty. My heart is broken that Bishop is suffering.

How does anyone know what TD has said or has not said? Everyone does not choose to do things online! That’s the problem sometimes just because some people choose to air everything online in the media you can’t judge another person because what they choose to do privately. Who knows if he didn’t call him personally? Who knows if he didn’t call his ex wife personally? How can you say you honor a person but he online calling them out because they didn’t handle something the way you expected them to handle it? I was talking to a friend and he from Africa, about this situation. He said the problem with the America churches there no power. All they have is a lot of noise especially black churches. He said the members should have power to raise him from death. In his country raising dead is normal. America relies on flesh and material things and walk not and live in the spirit realm. So death is not a fear for them in Africa. I didn’t like what he said but I listen. He said America talk to much but don’t pray enough. Lol

I no longer have such high expectations for the church but if for no other reason I'd expect those who stand along side Bishop Pearson in the faith would find it in their hearts to bid this General in the Lord's Army a proper farewell. I totally understand your position because our beloved Bishop Carlton Pearson is deserving of getting his flowers now. I don't quite understand why your focus is on shining a spotlight on other Spiritual leaders who have not publicly offered words or sentiments of love towards Bishop P. Our focus should be on showing Bishop Pearson love, praying for him and his family and not worry about who’s not doing or saying what. Also, we don’t know all of Bishop Jakes activities and what he’s doing behind the scenes. Our focus poses as a distraction, it’s your opinion and not factual.
Let’s move forward - and not get caught up in rumors, gossip, but pray and love on Bishop P. while he’s alive. After all, his acts of service and kindness should overshadow all of the drama and reflect his behavior - passion, love for the lord. Blessings!

I met Bishop Pearson at my church,Hillside International with Dr. Barbara King, in the ATL. I love him…he made me feel so welcomed in the church setting.

I always listen to his singing. I did not know he was ill until I was strolling and saw Larry Reid's page.
The word says believe and accept Christ as Lord and Savior. He didn't say accept Hell, why would they turn against Carlton? I honor him for standing in His truth. He lost everything on earth but gained a lot in heaven. I didn't understand his stance at first, but now I get it. Christ is light and love.

Even I, someone who has no direct connection to Pastor Carlton Pearson, have been affected by his ministry in the past. I can remember being a member of now, Bishop Dreyfus Smith's church and also being introduced to the Azusa Conference. Once you've had an encounter with Pastor Pearson, it's one you're NEVER forget.
How can you justify the use of the horoscope by calling yourself an "Aquarius" which is Divination (fortunetelling, tarots and witchcraft based on occultic ritual practices) that God calls an abomination and call yourself a Christian which is a follower of Jesus Christ?!
Also, If CP really loved the people, he would've also told them the free gift of salvation that God offers to all is granted only to those who RSVP with the surrender of their will to Christ Jesus!
