I found it... I FINALLY FOUND IIIT! Two decades of searching is over at last! YEEES! \o/ You have no idea how long scenes from this cartoon has haunted the outskirts of my memory. And finally, today, the origin has been revealed.
Oh the golden retro years for cartoons are a memory now...takes me back to the days where my only concerns were making it home on time for transformers.
was born in 1977, watched this when i was like 12 in Nigeria. just had a memory flashback from no where of the theme song, was shocked i could still recall its name of the cartoon and decided to dig it up on youtube. thanks to whoever uploaded this!
Wow just wow just got my mind blown. Stumbled upon this clip just now, had forgot all about this show. it must have been 25 years ago i last heard the themesong. A cascade of childhood memories came flooding at as soon as the song started, wow haha
80 Scotland. Remember it well. Pretty insane that you had this, he man, tmnt, thundercats, transformers, mask, knightmare etc and i would still play 20 a side football until dark. kids don't know how shit they have it these days.
good GOD, I was living as a child in west Chicago IL, when this was on the air. im 39 now. I remember part of the melody. and now its a bonafide earworm lol but ty. I wanted to relive my past. I truly did.
Im 33, I used to watch this with my brother at my grandmothers house in the 80's on Saturday mornings. I used to love this! Love me some old school Nickelodeon.
I think this music almost brings tears to my eyes because its just a big rush of my childhood. I barely remember the cartoon but I remember the intro, but sometimes some pieces just stir those memories....
From Australia and born in '79. Watched this when I was around six or seven years old. Fond memories of watching this with my best friend at his place after school.
I always watched this every week after getting home from school...this is one of reasons i miss my childhood - continuing to bring memories - simon from england
I'm 37, live in the States since 2001 but grew up in France with that cartoon, one of my favorite. Once in a while I just love to hear the intro sound track on youtube, awesome memories!
Thank you for posting this. When I was a child in the 80s, I used to watch this religiously on Nickelodeon. I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of episodes again, but I remember so much from this show - even if I haven't seen it in over a quarter decade. Totally underrated show with great a great continuing story- something very few childrens' cartoons did at the time (I can't think of another done in that style until the Conan - The Adventurer cartoons).
I am 36 and i remember this show, but not alot of people me who are born the same year as me do. This show was on tv in Iceland probably around the time i was 9 years old, and i loved it so much, it was one of my all time favorites :)
i love to watch this because it was epic in the 80's and it holds so many emotions but at the same time i feel so sad that the 6 year old me is dead and i can never go back to that time.
Im 35, and yes like npetrich says, we DID have such a wonderfully awesome childhood. We were old enough to understand the 80s, and enjoy them, 90s as well.
I'm 37, I remember watching this when I was 9 or 10 back in 1984/1985 when I was at a baby sitters waitin' for my mom. I loved this. Cartoons like this are long gone. . ..very sad
I am almost 30 and I could barely remember this, my parents just thought this was another animation show. But it was the world to me. It brings back memories!
I think I used to watch this around 1987 or 1988 (I'm 29 now). My brother (33) also used to watch it, but after 20+ years we completely forgot the title of the show until I found your video. Thanks so much for uploading! Brings back great memories :)
im from south africa and i used to watch this cartoon with my twin i doubt she still remembers it but for + - 20years that song has stuck to my head i used to love this cartoon..to the person who uploaded it THANK YOU
Miss, but love the 80s. Grew up in the 80s and 90s. We had a wonderful childhood, full of great stories, we had video games, we had cable tv, but we weren't slaves to them. We would go out after GI JOE, Transformers, Jem, My Little Pony, watching Star Wars, and PLAY..outside you know where theres trees and parks and fields and sky and rivers and oceans, we actually went OUTSIDE to recreate our beloved characters from these great stories. I really feel for this generation of kids. Cmon kids!
my sister and I would basically yodel the theme tune to this show in 80s England in our pyjamas during school holidays. Probably before a dose of Thundercats and Gummy Bears...
its a great song no pc here all the great memories though im 40 nwo still a great song to remember wish i could get it as a ring tone i too sing it to my young daughter
In Canada here! This used to be on the French channel where I live (re-runs I presume)in the mid 90s. Haven't thought of it again until today. I have never had such a dose of nostalgia.

I'm 35 and I remember watching this. There was one time I was watching an episode on videotape and when it ended I put Grandstand on only to see the Hillsborough tragedy unfolding :-( Weird how you remember stuff like that from so long ago.
I'm 30 as well and I remembered this show, although not many details. I remembered the intro song, the Indian kid with the yellow clothes, and the two bumbling sidekicks of Mendoza but not much else. I have this vague memory of it being on before or after a show called Spartakus. My brother is 28 and has no memory of this show at all.
I'm 25 and I remember seeing re-runs of this in the early 90s. I would have been about 6-7 at the time but I remember things like the golden condor and the music.
i barely remembered, only had this intro song in my head lately and remembering something about aztec culture, googled it and found it. and i'm 30 as well.
This intro is all about that ahhhhahhahhahhaaa bit, that just makes this song so beautiful and of course the do do do do do bit. Oh God, i can't believe i found this after so long of trying to remember the name of this cartoon. I only rediscovered the name last night and i''ve been trying to remember for YEARS. God...i heard you can get it on your ipod - I AM SOOO GOING TO GET IT.
