Is the Costco hot dog a "must buy" every time you go to the store?
but they dropped the onions, sourkrout and the brown mustard. So not buying till they give them again
You have to ask for them at the window and they’ll bring them to you@@markklein5637
So many of their main staples are memories now.
Yes!! You can't beat the price! They are the best hot dogs!!
I had the pizza this morning, $1.99 for big slice…
I miss the polish sausage
The Polish dog and the chocolate frozen yogurt, they're gone but not forgotten
@@whyarewealwaysyelling we still have them up here in canada
Me too!
Remember in the '90s Costco used to have frozen lemonade
That's what she said
I miss the Polish hot dogs that were also $1.50, but discontinued years ago. Also miss the sauerkraut.
I had forgotten the Polish. I am getting old.
Polish sausage still available in Canada Costco
@@douglasing1876 I'll make a note. But even Canada still no sauerkraut?
They get me with this super deal hot dog, but I end up spending $300 in the store afterwards lol
Eat the hot dog before you go shopping at Costco, you will safe money.
That’s why they cost $1.50
All the Costco Hot Dogs in the US are made in Tracy, CA in a facility Costco built, not bought. They have meat processing plants around the US, but different plants make different items. In Tracy we also have Musco olives which handles around 1/3 of America's olives, and Ghirardelli chocolate is transitioning production here as well.
Mostly cheap farmland outside the Bay Area/Los Angeles with good highway/train infrastructure and cheaper labor than most of the rest of California which makes it great for industrial warehouses and factories.
Bring back the Polish Sausage!
My wife and I love getting a hot dog at Costco each and every time we go there. We do not like the hot dogs over at Sam’s Club. I didn’t know that Costco made their own and sold them in bulk packaging. Moving forward, we will be buying all of our hot dogs from Costco. Great video!
The hot dogs at Sam’s are actually made from meat!
Bring back the polish hot dogs !
Thank you Mr Senegal for letting have some affordable deal for all these years. Bless his soul for being so generous and very delicious too.
yeah sorry for the misspelling it was my bad there sorry for the misunderstanding and thank you for the correction.
Too bad JIM doesn't have a say so in no more onions for the dogs...or combo pizzas selection in the food courts. No more salads...no more polish's. It ain't what he once envisioned
Aww man no more onions!? I love onions on a hot dog.
Please refer to him as Saint Senegal
$1.50 in Canada as well
I buy the dogs in the store, and make 'em at home later. Very delicious.
When my dad was alive and in a nursing home, I'd bring him a hot dog rather frequently--one of his popular requests, since the nursing home would not server hot dogs. I asked about it, and they said "choking hazard." But I sat with my dad eating his dog, so NO problem !
I've read that Julia Child would go to Costco every Saturday to get a hot dog. Your dad was in good company. Hopefully they are eating Costco hot dogs in Heaven.
@@teaeyedoubleguhur What a terrific thought 🙂
More companies should do the same thing. Freeze the price on many items, people may come back.
Did you know that Costco still offers the Polish sausage in Canada and it's $1.50 Canadian which translates to about $1.12 US when you factor $ exchange. Now that's a BARGOON!
The Costco hot dogs and their price inspired the Atlanta Falcons to sell Hot Dogs for $2 at their stadium (along with other staples at low prices) as loss leaders
Along the same line, I was surprised to see a worker at Sam Club stocking the meat case with packages of meat marked with the stores brand, but the box they were in was marked “Smithfield” and I do not buy Smithfield as it is a company owned by Chinese.
Agree ... to the greatest extent possible, I too am from the ABC club (Anything But China). I admit, it's not 100% possible (sadly).
Thanks for the "Heads up" about Smithfield. I see that brand at several stores, I've never bought it and will now avoid it.
The Chinese owners of Smithfield need to change the name Smithfield to Shimisi >>史密斯 : Smith (name)... : Shǐ mì sī | Definition | Mandarin Chinese Pinyin English Dictionary | Yabla Chinese.
I can assure you that the Va people were NOT happy with the sale to China. Greed is a scary thing.
we have eaten these hot dogs so many times they are amazing no matter who makes them ! LOVE them
Our Costco discontinued offering diced onions a while back and we stopped buying them.. I recently asked a food cart about this and she said it was due to Covid and sanitary reasons. She also told me that some bring customers were bringing their onion from home. Last week while at Costco I noticed a man with a small plastic container of onions next to his hotdog and asked if he brought them from home. He said, “No I got them from here as he pointed to the counter and I asked for them”. Hallelujah, I went and got a hotdog and onions! Thank you Costco I am a very happy shopper!
Yes, Costco brought back the chopped onions but it in individual small containers instead of the big metal dispenser with the crank arm. I love onions on my dogs.
Simply the Best ❤❤❤
They are the best ,thank u costcos❤❤❤
Love em!! Get one almost every time we go.
I miss the sourkraut
Love thier food court dogs and pizza slice.
Just had one after shopping a couple hours ago
Great hot dogs perfect with a great texture and flavor and tastes.
I have had Costco's hot dogs plenty of times. They taste pretty good! 😋🌭♥️
May your belly be filled
No you haven’t. Go tomorrow and report back. It ain’t’ the same.
Good to know about the brand. Next time my wife and I are at Costco, I'll ask her to go over and grab a package of those effing hotdogs. And when we have our backyard parties with families, I'll ask my little nephew, how do you like those effing hotdogs!
We love the prime beef ball park hots they have around the Fourth of July. We wish they sold them years ago round.
Are the Kirkland hot dogs the same for Canada?
Before Costco requires membership for the food court, I always had hot dog and Diet Pepsi. I only added onions to the dogs. Because of their hot dogs, I now only have hot dogs made of beef. : - )
I finally tried one of the dogs after being a member for a couple years now. It's good and juicy.
5 yrs ago, Iwent to a costco and had a slice of pizza. Then,2 of the costco food court workers came around and were handing out FREE hot dogs! Someone called in an order for 100 hot dogs! It was a joke. {Now they require a credit card up front} The gal asked me "do you want some hotdogs?" I said yes and and how many? She gave me 30!
LOL< what on earh did you do with 30 hot dogs???????????
@@user-fv5yo5fi5c If you have 15 pet dogs, you'll figure it out!
Seriously? Wow!
Grateful 100 for my Sunday dog and pepperoni slice!
I'm glad to hear they're not Smithfield dogs. If they were, I was going to have to get upset. Kudos, Costco!
Smithfield is one of the companies owned by the Chinese, same company also owns Farmer John, and Nathan's Hot Dogs.....wont ever buy those brands.
I only go to Costco now about every three weeks, but I always try to have a dog BEFORE I go shopping. If I am full, I buy less food because I don't have those cravings. But I do wish they would bring back the onions AND the combo pizza! Bastards for not doing them these days!
Why curse in your last sentence when you wrote elegantly.
Always have one when i go and here in New Zealand they are NZ$1.99 So that is actually cheaper here with the exchange rate also includes a soda LOVE EM

Thank you for responding 👍🙏
yes you are right and a pleasure to hear from you .@@edwinrodeo
the gasoline in NZ is about $7 a gallon- so youre getting cheaper hot dogs, but you spend a grip on the fuel to get to the store. gasoline in san diego county starts at about $4.50 a gallon at our tribal fuel stations. so- what was your point again?
I miss the Polish Dogs.----Where I live now, the nearest Costco is 250 miles away.
Acquiring customers not selling products...great motto!
The magic is the steamed bun🌭 itself.
Costco's hot dogs are delicious, but my #1 pick for a hot dog will always be Hofmann Hot Dog.
I do the same at Sams there not a Costco in Asheville NC
Never had a Costco hotdog and plan to keep it that way.
Love Costco dogs. Miss Sausage and the Lattes.
The big dinner size Kirkland hot gods. Sooooooo good. We buy and freeze. I have on maybe once a month, my partner has every Tuesday. Taco Tuesday is Hot Dog Tuesday for him.
I had a dream once where I got a Costco hot dog woke up that morning ready to get some
Just remember to use lube.
Do you have to have a membership to purchase a hotdog?
There was a story on the news locally that people who didn't have a Costco card were still going to the food court, and they stopped that. But still, if you eat a lot of hotdogs, in my opinion it's worth paying the membership fee...lol.
The Costco Glizzy is king
Give us a coffee and doughnut combo!
They taste great and are a great value, but check out the amount of sodium in each dog. Eat if you like but be aware of the effects if you over-indulge.
I love cosco I love there hotdogs🌭,there pizza 🍕,churros, ice cream 🍨,three mocha coffee freeze,I love how you can get free refills so cool 😎
I miss the other mustard they used to have for the hotdogs.
Buns as long as the dog? Never seen that! Not complaining though! Just please bring back the onion machine and sauerkraut 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Onion machine with fake bottled onions, no thanks.
At mark 3:25 that woman is the spitting image of Louie Anderson the comedian !! LOL
That is Louie Anderson in a movie....
Well damn, now I want a hot dog and COSTCO isn`t open for 2 more hours.
It’s $1.55 for a hot dog and a drink, here in Northern California.
Costco need to start a chain of Drivethru restaurants, superb food 🇬🇧 !!!
LOLz. How about Noooo
Costco, come to San Angelo, Texas!
Bring back the onion!! The hot dog is not the same without the onions.
Next Costco run, getting a package of hot dogs and a package of rolls so I don't have to pester my husband every ten seconds.
I’ve never had the Costco hotdog, but do get and like the Hebrew National dogs. However being from New Jersey my favorite dog was always Sabretts.
One of the local grocery stores here in North Carolina occasionally has Sabrett hot dogs. It's a fine hot dog, I have to say (and I love a good hot dog).
So how much is a package of these Hot Dogs at COSTCO?
Bring back the Polish Mr. Senegal.
It’s funny they are Kirkland when the founder lived in SouthCove , issaquah and now hq is Issaquah. I used to walk by his house and see his Pina Farina collection double stacked in his Garage. King size snickers for howeloween
No one outside of Washington can say Issaquah. They can't even say Kirkland, they say land not lund
So dang true @@stevevaughn2040
What's happening?
Halloween not howeloween!
Kirkland store was their first store
Costco has decided to stop allowing people who are not members from buying food at their food court. I wonder if they will still be able to keep the numbers of hotdogs sold as high as in the past? I refuse to pay a membership fee to shop in a store. Supposedly they make most of their money from the membership fees
Thats good they decided to limit to members only. The deal is meant for members just like any other item they sale. Their gas in a state like Hawaii, for another example, is as much as 75 cents less than regular gas stations for their members. That more than pays for any membership cost in a couple of tanks
Years ago I debated paying for a Costco annual membership but my wife and I realized that it paid for itself after one or two visits in the savings that we had after buying several over the counter supplemental medications in their pharmacy department. The only thing that we don't care for are the crowds every time and especially around the holidays so we stock up before Thanksgiving and don't return again until after New Year's and go to BJ'S as an alternate which is never crowded Monday thru Friday's.
I stop off at Costco, buy 2 hot dogs, go to the ball park with them, add the condiments at the stadium and enjoy.
The only reason for a membership in my opinion.
I think I need to break down and get my Costco membership.
They are really delicious hot dogs 🌭
Given the way the condiments are dispensed I find the best approach is to remove the hot dog, put the condiments in the bun, reinsert the hot dog then give it a spin before eating. 😋
Had one today
I went to my new local store & got a dog while I was there but thought it tasted different than others before.
I was suspecting they had changed the recipe.
Interesting, A cashier at Costco's food court told me their food court hotdogs were special made for them and were not the same as the Kirkland hotdogs sold in the freezers. The food court has the best hotdogs. I just need to figure out how to get them.
And still we don't have natural casing hot dogs that have a real snap to them here on the west coast. East coast you can find them everywhere, but west coast no grocery store carries them except in the deli and costs a fortune. I even complained to Costco and they said they'll look into it because even their own hot dog doesn't have a natural casing.
Chicago has Vienna snappy casing hot dogs. They're amazing and I think you can buy them online. Just make 100% sure you buy the snappy casing variety. The ones without the snappy casing are gross
Bring back the diced onions, COSTCO!!!
I miss the supreme pizza with everything on it. Bring it back costco.
They aren't the same since they stopped using Hebrew National Polish Sausage hot dogs. The 1/4 pounders are available in many stores.
I really miss the Polish dogs. They were very much like the hot dogs but with a little more flavor ....
So true plus the regular dogs were so much better when they were made by Hebrew National
Hebrew national hotdogs was the way. Still a damn fine deal for $1.50.
If you like these hot dogs. They smell so good at the factory. I work there about once a month
Who makes the food court chocolate chip cookie? Is it Otis Spunkmeyer???
Kirkland products are excellent.
🎉🎉🎉
After Costco started manufacturing their own hot dogs, did the hot dogs stay kosher? Google says "A Costco meat processing facility in Tracy, California, that had been around since 2004 began producing hot dogs in 2011, and produced both the hot dogs sold in the food court as well as smaller hot dogs sold in packs. The switch also ushered in the usage of non-kosher beef."
Their ice cream is also really creamy at the food court!
My local Costco has removed the chopped onion condiments from the food court. So, only ketchup, mustard, and relish remain. Still a meal that is super affordable, but not that healthy. I also miss the Polish dogs. They had more flavor.
I preferred the Hebrew National ones when they did those. Was sad when they switched.
I used to work next door to a Costco and I would have a Hot Dog twice a week. The best hot dog ever. Then one day I ordered my Hot dog and it did not taste the same.... I told everyone at work who bought their Hot Dogs at Cosco.... COSTCO changed their Hot Dog but after most of the staff had the new dog ..they said it was the same dog.....ABSOLUTELY ..NO HOT DOG COMPARES TO THE NATIONAL HEBREW DOG... SO SAD...National Hebrew dogs are no longer sold in Canada
Hebrew National Dogs are sold at White Sox Park in Chicago. They char grill them and oh boy, are they ever amazing. They literally melt in your mouth. I think the only hot dog I like as much are the iconic Vienna Hot Dogs with the snappy casing. They are the standard here in Chicago.
Agree w you
@@user-fv5yo5fi5cto me, they taste like ethylene glycol- they taste a little better if you try not to think about antifreeze when you eat them.
Where to find the buns…
It’s true, the usda even have a Special parking place. That’s from a Costco diver. Tracy, ca. it’s all true.
if they had a vegan dog I'd never leave the store lol
I remember when the dogs were …Hebrew National. In 2008 Costco changed the weenies to Kirklands…
After seeing that Costco hot dog...... Excuse me I have to go to the bathroom.
Spoken like a true vegan
Yes but Biden pointed out some things had 0% inflation. Like you can still get a combo meal which includes bread, vegetable, meat and a drink for $1.50 at Costco. Not to mention the free samples. (hot dog & soda)
Made my 2nd visit at Costco. Was so tempted to grab a hotdog. But the lines were so long.
Worth the wait
@@002tar I will surely grab one next time. The cashiers at both merchandise and the food court worked so fast and kept up with the rush of shoppers. The whole place reminded me of an ant colony. Shoppers flocking in one door and shoppers flocking out the other. And it was constant. I had fun shopping.
I would've waited in line no matter how long till I fainted, and people would just walk over me.
Costco hot dogs are legendary
were* Hence the legend, it’s all in the etymology says epistemology
@@andrej2321 aka Glizzy Goblin Andrej
Are they ever gonna offer chilli or cheese hot dogs.
Yes, and the price will be 7.50 buy include a small pop. LOL
They have a little different menu in Korea., Daegu. Costco. No Pizza. They have mushroom soup. Pork bake. Chicken Caesar salad and chicken salsa wrap. And of course they have Hot Dog “set”. No reference to all beef. But the Drink and dog set. Made two trips from Seoul to Daegu in a month stay in Seoul. Hot Dog & drink…. 2000 Korean won
I just wish they brought back the deli mustard and sauerkraut. the deal is not as good as it used it be.
It’s still crushing inflation. They would be north of $4 if they adjusted
Its the same in China. The price is about 10 rmb with a drink. Any other place this would cost 40 to 50 rmb in china. So yep, its true even for cosco's in other countries.
I will not order anything at my costco food court anymore, they removed the condiments bar stating it was not sanitary. Like that kiosk they force people to use before eating things with our hands is sanitary. I just buy them in bulk instead and enjoy them at home.
In a way you're kina right. I traveled to Isreal on a church pilgrimage, and people from all over the world go there. We were at our hotel's huge dining room fpr dinner at the buffet line. There was one group of people, I won't say their nationality, but they were sampling foods with their fingers sampling to their mouths before they would use a large spoon to scoop into their plate. That was disgusting
Frankenstein say, "ßring back `kraut, onions, deli mustard ASAP!"😋
but why did they stop selling Polish Sausage?
