    That 45 minute pre-heat is insane man.

    • @TheFoodExperience
      @TheFoodExperience  Год назад +3

      A 10 minute preheat is all that's necessary. I wait longer and started early while the steak is getting to room temperature. Definitely not necessary though.

    That was looking delicious! Also, good point about pre-heating the air fryer up so high. I still haven't cooked a steak in mine even though I've had it for a year and a half, but I'm still honeymooning with the Blackstone lol. I keep seeing those Kinder rubs you use at Walmart so I guess I need to try some. I've been crazy busy the last couple weeks so I'm just getting caught up on your videos today. I'm in the path of hurricane Ida and there's *nothing* going on anywhere around here and it's like a ghost town! What better to do than to watch The Food Experience!!👍👍

      Hey Mack, thank you so much for commenting and I send prayers and good energy your way in regards to hurricane Ida. Yeah preheating is so essential and you would be surprised how many people don't do it. They basically treated like a microwave. It makes all the difference in the world as does heating it up with that steak tray inside. I'm still honeymooning with my black stone as well. I posted a picture on Instagram of a breakfast sandwich I made this morning. I use it all the time. Just love that device. Thanks again and wishing your family the very best.

    How long do you broil a 2 lb. porterhouse steak in Kalorik Maxx? Old version.

    • @TheFoodExperience
      @TheFoodExperience  10 дней назад

      @@barbaradorfman806 I have not tried cooking a 2 lb steak. There are some variables so that's very difficult to answer. It depends on how thick the steak is and the internal temperature that you are desiring. The best idea is to use an in oven meat thermometer.

    I just got the Kalorik Max and want to cook a steak, my question is can I cook the steak on the 3rd position from the bottom?

    • @TheFoodExperience
      @TheFoodExperience  Год назад +2

      Yes you definitely can cook it in the regular air fry slot which is the next one down from where I cooked this one. In fact it is really my preferred way since I learned the machine more. Just make sure you do a preheat with that steak tray installed as I showed in this video. That part is very crucial. Also make sure to have it comboed with the drip pan. A temperature probe is also a good idea unless you want to cook by weight. Either case I would let it cook for 4 to 5 minutes and then flip it over for the remainder of the cook. That will depend on how done you enjoy it.

    I saw a recipe cook chicken leg quarters on the steak setting. I'm looking for brown skin roasted done tenderized legs. Would you recommend?

    • @TheFoodExperience
      @TheFoodExperience  11 месяцев назад +2

      With chicken I would not really go above 400° unless you don't mind a bunch of smoke. The problem with chicken over 400° is that it is way past the smoke point. Even 400° is a little bit over. I have never cooked leg quarters so I really don't have an efficient answer for you.

      400 makes the skin uber crispy

    • @TheFoodExperience
      @TheFoodExperience  11 месяцев назад +1

      @@GSauce20 sure sounds like it would. I wish I could find out however all of the supermarkets out here only sell skinless chicken parts, unless I were to buy a whole chicken which I never do. Maybe one day.

    Did you do this same steak on broil/oven setting?

    • @TheFoodExperience
      @TheFoodExperience  7 месяцев назад

      When I had that machine I would only use the steak setting.

    New to the kalorik air fryer oven maxx, just lost haha. How about a London broil, or tri tip?

    • @TheFoodExperience
      @TheFoodExperience  2 года назад

      I have not tried a London broil before. I'm sure it would work out fine. I have cooked a few tri-tips and they come out perfect. I have a video for one that I did on the rotisserie. In case you would like to see it here is the link: ruclips.net/video/gCMA6lWTAG8/видео.html

    • @TheFoodExperience

      Awesome! I hope it works out well for you. Just keep in mind that if the steak is an inch thick or more you won't want to use the very top fast air fry position otherwise everything is the same just use the next position down.
